The restaurant is located in the corner and is a small space. They have a buzzer at the front door to let you in .... The menu is relatively small, but enough options to fill satisfy different taste buds ... they seem to have a soup of the day regularly ... the food overall is fairly good .... The reason for the 3 is due to small menu and i believe they add some sugar to their ingredients as the meals we received were a little sweet... which for most Jamaican dishes is a not a norm. I never knew this place existed. So close to my house but never noticed it until recently. So I was waiting for this time!! The place is very small. The door is locked but you can buzz it. Inside there is a friendly lady taking orders. The menu is on the wall and mostly Jamaican. They have basic menu but cover what I like. Brown stew chicken! We settled for large Jerk chicken. The order came out quickly and we were on the way in no time. The food was fresh and tasty. I even liked steam veggies! It came with rice and beans, steam veggies, and a few plantain. So I took a real late lunch the other day and was trying to find a place to get something to eat. You know what I did ... whipped out my handy dandy Yelp app. Have you ever had that feeling where you're tired of eating the same thing over and over. Today was one of those days. Everything people suggested, I didn't want. But like I said thanks to the yelp app I was able to search for a different kind of place. So now on to this place; it's a real "take out" place. It literally had one table and two chairs. When I was there, someone was already at that table. So looking at the menu I decided to do the lunch special, Jerk Chicken. There was another person there ordering, before I did so you can imagine after I place my order since there was no extra chair to sit so I was just standing there. But the cool part about it was that my order didn't take long even though to me everything was made fresh. The Food though obviously was the best part. I had the jerk chicken and steam vegetables (trying to be healthy here) and a side of avocado. This was probably the best steam cabbage and vegetable I ever had from a Caribbean restaurant. I've been to a couple and you could tell it was probably frozen vegetable, but not this place. The Jerk chicken was good I'm not yet ready to say the best but it was good. And the Avocado (was just an avocado) come on you can't get that wrong your just getting it from the tree. But also I'm pretty sure I'll be back to try their fresh fruits. Overall this place is really good and will defiantly be back to try more stuff on the menu. read more

This is one of my favorite lunch spots! There isn't a thing that I've had that hasn't been 100 percent satisfying. I've has the fish and spaghetti, the visually perfect and delicious salad, the grilled chicken sandwich and my latest fave is the brown stew chicken lunch special. Lots of food and meat is tender. I always call a few minutes ahead as i don't have much lunch time and it is always ready to go! They accept cash and card but there's a minimum on the card. But it will be happy food coma. Tips get the lays chip and the pineapple ginger soda. First eat the lays then drink the pineapple ginger soda. You will have nice pineapple taste and then lit bit from the ginger. If you don't do that, you will be hit with the ginger in your face. I'm Indian and I love ginger but you don't like ginger like that. Do the lays and then the drink. Salmon with peas and rice and curry on top is great!!! The salmons is perfectly blacken and have great seasoning if you're seasoning person. If you like pepper and salt on your salmon, you're weird. Come here and get that salmon. I have been looking for oxtail as long as I've been living in South Florida! I have tried many oxtail around South Florida and I would say this is in my top two places. The oxtail, plantains and rice and peas tastes phenomenal. It was probably the best and authentic taste I have tasted since I have lived here for two years. I live really far but I will do the drive. The cabbage was so fresh. I even bought a coconut to drink out of and it was really affordable. I really recommend this place to anyone in North Miami Beach. Wow, today a new employee purchased lunch from this place for myself and quite a few other staff members and Iet me tell you EVERYONE said it was delicious! We all had grilled salmon, rice & peas, streamed cabbage w/veggies, plantains and a cup of fresh cut up fruit for dessert! Everything was fresh and tasty. The chicken came with rice and peas, steamed veggies (but they seemed to be in a sauce) and delicious plantains. The chicken had a lot of tiny pieces of bone but not too hard to navigate. Was craving a lite healthy lunch and came across this gem right down the street. It's a small (one table), clean, family run business. My gf and I ordered the grilled chicken breast salad to go which they prepared in the back. It's a simple fresh salad that comes with cucumbers, tomatoes, sliced carrot, shredded cheese and boiled egg. You also have the option to add fresh avocado and bacon bits which we did... I ordered mine with double chicken and was happy with the portions. We were both extremely satisfied with our meals and even had a little left over for a snack later.
