JRK was definitely the spot to go to while in the food court in Aventura Mall Food was on point and sooooo delicious If you are in the food court in Aventura Mall you should definitely check JRK out

I worked up an appetite walking around the mall. There was so many options in the Food Hall to chose from, but I only wanted a quick bite. I quickly decided to visit Jrk to see what they had to offer. I waited patiently as the line was moving at a steady pace. When I approached the counter, I eyed the various foods on display, especially the yuca fries which I remembered really enjoying the last time I ate here. A female employee was nice enough to place some yuca fries in a small takeout container and bag a mild beef patty for me as well. I sat at an available table to enjoy my fries and patty. The yuca fries was so yummy!...soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, and lightly seasoned. The amount given wasn't enough for me, I could do with some more...these are really good! The beef patty was also good...flaky crust with just the right amount of seasoned filling. This definitely hit the spot!

RIDICULOUS HIGH SKYROCKET PRICES HERE! I will never come back here. This place is hugely expensive and just greedy. I couldn't even enjoy their oxtail because it costed $26!!!!! Their Brown stew chicken with tax costed me a whopping $16 and when I immediately got a full refund for it, their cashier told me I'd only be getting back $13. I got a refund on the Brown stew chicken and the two sides of cabbage because it tasted SOOOO TERRIBLE!! I only ate their weird mac and cheese which was ok I guess and their bland canned water. I'll NEVER come back here with their stupid ghetto rap music playing at the front counter. People working here were very nice but their food is horrific. It's probably just a matter of time before this place goes outta business particularly because of their prices and disgusting, terrible quality food. You have been warned.

JERK CHICKEN BOWL CHILI ROASTED BROCCOLI PINEAPPLE PLANTAINS

If you're looking for a place with a Caribbean vibe, JRK is a must-visit! It's a Caribbean-style restaurant that operates like Chipotle, allowing you to customize bowls with authentic flavors. I went around lunch time on a Thursday. I opted for jerk fried rice as my base,(a bit of sweet with a kick), topped with delicious jerk chicken that had spice, but not too spicy. Just the right level of heat! I could also add three sides: Sm sweet plantain, broccoli, and cabbage. (You could add additional toppings for a fee) "The Tropics" sauce with a kick was the perfect finishing touch. The bowl was about $14 and full! No complaints about thw serving size. I also tried a curry chicken patty, and it tasted great. I had heard about JRK on TikTok but didn't realize it was at Aventura Mall until I stumbled upon it while visiting a store. The customer service was top-notch, and when bussed out my Jamaican accent, they responded with a Jamaican dialect confirming the authenticity of the food. Lol! They were welcoming, friendly, and even discussed catering options for my nonprofit organization. If you're ever at Aventura Mall, make sure to stop by JRK for an incredible Caribbean dining experience! My pictures do this place no Justice, trust me, it was good.

Craving jerk chicken for so long, i was excited to come across a "chipotle" serviced jerk spot! Got the jerk chicken, Jamaican fried rice/rice n peas mix, Maduros, jerked corn, & fried yucca sticks. Rude boy sauce as well as a minty, yogurt based sauce. With a TING (grapefruit sparkling soda) The lady that initially helped me get my bowl was sooooo kind, very helpful & professional. As she passed on the bowl the other lady had the opposite demeanor. My total came out to $21.00 I tipped $2 & she asked if I wanted a receipt I said no, then checked my Apple Pay notification she gave herself a 20% tip, ($4) kind of rude, but whatever. Just beware. The food was good, the soda was great & their rude boy sauce is FANTASTIC.

    Vegan Chicken

An adventurous vegans paradise . LISSEN firstly the broccoli was the second best (try melting pot in mojo broth) I've ever had! It had a slightly crunch and not soggy whatsoever, and had some favorable seasoning that I've never experienced before. Moving on to the vegan chicken, it tastes like the 'daring brand' however it may be from scratch , I'm not so sure . But it's super good, with the right level of spice. Of course it's not going to be juicy the way actual chicken is , but this was a really great substitute!

Needed a pick me up after a while of walking around and shopping at the Aventura Mall. Decided with this place since i haven't ate Jamaican food in so long. I ordered the bowl with oxtail (yes, be prepared to pay a lot) with rice and peas, fried yuca, sweet plantains and Cole slaw. Luckily there wasn't much of a line and the food came out fast. I think it's a good option if you're craving a more carribean dish at the mall. The flavors were good and didn't disappoint

Delicious food! Great customer service and authentic island taste. Really enjoyed my oxtails with fried jerk rice corn cabbage and plantains. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area. This takes classic Caribbean favorites and turns it up a notch withe plating and sides. Vegetarian options as well with the curry chick peas.

    Our lunch jerk chicken

My new favorite Jamaican restaurant in south Florida. Located in Aventura mall food court. Beyond my expectations good portion for $15: 1 base, 1 protein and 3 sided. Excellent value for money. We also tried the curry chicken patty which was the best. Not to mention some real Jamaican music. Winning combo.

OMG! When I tell you this place is outstanding. We were actually going on a cruise, but decided to run to Aventura Mall real quick.‍ I checked the mall's app on the way to the mall to review my food options. Nothing jumped out at me so I had to walk around to actually look at the food. Needless to say, when I saw the food at Jrk...immediately YES. The food did not disappoint. We were all more than pleased. I'm catching a flight in January, I'll be back.

I was roaming Aventura mall and discovered their diverse food court. The food court is really like many multi ethnic restaurants. The servers were really nice, especially Jeshua. The ambience is great because they have reggae playing and that's cool. I tried this restaurant for the first time and was impressed. They gave large portions. I really enjoyed the curry chicken and curry patties the most. The jerk chicken was very spicy and maybe not as authentic as it could have been. But for the most part all of the food was really good. I like that they had a lot of sauces that you can add on the side, especially the "jerk cool ranch", which is really tzatziki sauce. I went a second time after I came back from my cruise and the manager could really have a better attitude towards people who are patronizing his business. He just be mad for no reason. Also, the plates are kind of pricy.

I was greeted by a pleasant female who took my order of the brown stew chicken lunch special. It came with rice & peas, steamed vegetables, plantain, and surprisingly a can soda of my choice. The food looked and smelled delightful. Now for the taste... The chicken was tender and browned nicely with a mild flavor. The rice & peas was cooked to a soft consistency. The steamed vegetables was soft and a bit of crunchy. My only problem was the food had one plantain which was sweet. Come on now, why be stingy with the plantain? They could have at least added 2 or 3 nice pieces. Overall the food was enjoyable. Reminds me of my grandma's cooking back in the islands. Look forward to return to try other dishes.

One thing I really appreciate is the value. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, which can be hard to find these days. You definitely get your money's worth. I also have to mention the mac and cheese. As someone who loves mac and cheese, I'm pretty picky about it. Not every restaurant gets it right, but Dunn's River does.
