They have a black bean burger, which is decent. I did NOT like that it came in a single use plastic clam shell - the paper wrapped around it was just fine. It is their only vegan option with any protein source in it. Would love to see some grilled tofu on the menu. Friendly service and a little covered patio area to sit and eat. Food was hot and fresh and fast. Good value. Ordered a kid's plain burger, side of Mac, and combo plate with pineapple slaw--plenty of food for the two adults and a kiddo. Nice that the burger came with chips too. Liked the pork more than the chicken, but overall tasty. Would get more pineapple slaw next time! This is always a favorite when we're in Rockaway. There were some tears when this was closed, and great rejoicing when they opened back up this year. Everything we've tried is delicious. There's options everyone in the family enjoys and the portions and sauce are generous. Affordable too, especially for the coast! Placed an order online was was ready within 5 min. I ordered the chicken combo and it was magnificent. So good I devoured without even a thought to photo documentation. Smoky, juicy chicken with some to die for thick teriyaki sauce, lovely white rice and a nice, peppery mac salad. We went on July 4th at night, so I'm going to give them a pass for how slow everything was. There seemed to be three people in the truck, but they need to find a better method of doing things. Took maybe 30-40 minutes easy to place an order from being fourth in line until getting my food. Very reasonably priced, especially given the surrounding competition. Woman at the window was very nice and patient. Chicken plate: homemade sauce was pretty good! Chicken came chopped up, which was a bit strange. Mac salad was pretty close to local flavors. One scoop of rice though? There's a smaller version called a "Chicken bowl," but if my plate has only one scoop rice, I can't imagine how much smaller the bowl is. Also, the sauce which was poured over everything was leaking from the bottom of the container. Would be better if they made it a bed of rice, put chicken on top, and then sauce it. Chicken yakisoba: good noodles, veggies, and a little bit of chicken. We got this with the hot teriyaki sauce. They decided to drown it in the sauce. Imagine the ratio of like spaghetti. Way too much. Yakisoba is not that wet. Loco Moco: pretty decent. Chopped up hamburger steak was weird, but tasty gravy and a good amount of rice. Could have used some macaroni salad. All in all this place is worth a stop. A lot of people were getting shave ice and enjoying that as well. If you want a really good burger, a nice view of the beach, with a fresh wind of the ocean blowing into your face, this place is perfect. My friends and I were looking for a last minute bite and we stumbled across this absolutely beauty of a local grill. While small, this hidden gem is perfect for good quality food. The Western BBQ that my 2 friends and I got was absolutely delicious. The sweet barbecue had me licking my fingers with delight. My other friend ended up getting a Firehouse burger with bacon and it's special homemade chipotle sauce. He described it as something that is sweet and spicy (but not spicy enough to have you break a sweat). Definitely something I would come back and get. Highly recommend if you want a very good quality dish. My food smelled so good that I couldn't hold myself back into finishing it right away. I encourage anyone to come and give it a try. Received a text that our order was received and a time it would be ready to pick up. We ordered it around 11:45 am and was given a pick up time of 12:30 pm. Then received a text at 13:30 that it was ready. Just went to the window, gave her my name and she got it for me. Had it in a bag too. My daughter got the chicken teriyaki plate and Bacon Cheddar Burger. I tasted the chicken and it was really good. Chicken was tender, not drowning in sauce and had a grilled flavor. Others seem to have reported that this business is closed but it's open for business; we just picked up dinner here tonight. Wasn't sure what to expect from this food truck but it was solidly decent and tasty. It's located on a corner lot across from the main square on Rockaway Beach. We had cheeseburgers and pulled pork sandwich. (I wish you had the option of ordering french fries with sandwiches/ burgers but they come with chips - no biggie). Orders were generously sized and the buns were good, too. There are a couple sets of tables and chairs out in front of the trailer if you want to eat there; we took ours back to our motel bc it was so windy. We saw a couple kids order shaved ice... looked good! A large selection of shaved iced flavors were available. read more
