I could not have made a better choice with either. Both Sonny and his wife Rhonda helped me pick an appropriate color. They did the front and rear seats. In addition, the Mustang has side airbags in the seat backs so just any old upholstery or seat cover won't do. The upholstery has to allow the air bags to expand where they are supposed to in a collision. The Katzkin product has special seams that allow that and Sonny's installer must perform an additional process with the airbags to assure everything works as it should. Sonny wanted two days to do it but I was called first thing the morning of the second day and told it was done. It looks and feels like a new car now. Leather upholstery is not for everyone as it is very expensive. If you decide on cloth instead, Sonny can do that as well. I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job or better quality than Sonny. If you need new upholstery, go see Sonny.

Turn East at the light at Virginia and go to the end of the street to the T and turn south to the 2nd driveway, on the east side of Reseda, and grab a parking spot. Look for the sign. Their current shop hours and contact info are also on a small sign in the office window. They specialize in motorcycle custom seats, recovers, etc. While mine was in process I saw mostly large road bikes but he did my dirt bike seat with no problems. The process went like this: call them and make a appointment to show them your seat, discuss materials, and get an estimate. If you want to proceed make an appointment (I had about a 3 month wait for my appointment but it was well worth the wait). All bikes go in on a Monday, they re-cover them all, then you go back days later (thurs) to test drive the bike and get a feel for the new cushioning, and re-confirm your cover material of choice. Typically, your seat is done the next day (Fri) after the test drive. They have limited hours so be sure to call first. My seat turned out better than I expected. The workmanship was great, well worth the wait and the cost. I would recommend this shop for any motorcycle seat re-do, regardless of brand.

I recently purchased my kid an '11 Mustang and the leather panels on…read morethe inside of the doors had come off (I've discovered this is a typical problem with Mustangs). The dealership agreed to repair them as part of the purchase, unfortunately they didn't have an upholstery service to actually perform the work so they had a trim guy do his best... and that best was the worst. They essentially tried to scrape the underlining foam and then glued the same material back over top. There was glue left all around the trim of the panel and the texture of the panel itself was an eye sore, extremely lumpy and hard looking because of the adhesive used. The work was almost embarrassing for others to see and it was really putting a damper on the excitement of our car purchase. I took the car by a couple of upholstery places to get quotes and Kenny offered the best rate plus my son was smitten on the idea of having the Mustang emblem embroidered into the panel. It took about a week from paying the deposit to get the panels back from the embroidery shop and to get our car scheduled for the work. We just picked up the car from Top Notch and the difference in quality is like night and day. Top Notch completely elevated the look of the interior. In all it cost me just under $480 for both doors to be redone, about $200-300 less than most other shops quoted me. They do charge a 3.5% card fee for payment so try to stick to cash or check if possible, but I'll be singing their praises for a while! Highly recommended!
