The drinks were relatively inexpensive compared to other places in the area and strong. We only ordered appetizers but they were really filling and delicious. The fish tasted really fresh. For the Mahi bites, the coconut sauce that came with it was INCREDIBLE. It was a little expensive for the appetizers but the location gives them leeway. The servers were amazing. We sat at the bar so we were mostly helped by the bartender who was so kind, funny, and really cared that we enjoyed our time there. It was a really busy night but he checked in fairly often and would crack a joke with us while making drinks. Overall, it they created a wonderful environment. Insanely nice and receptive, they talked with me the entire time, made recommendations, walked me through the dishes and the culture behind them, and kept the strong drinks coming, which I will never complain about. That kind of hospitality is rare and I can't say enough about it. Now for my one nitpick, and this is a me problem more than a them problem: I don't totally love Puerto Rican food. This is authentic comida criolla, which pulls from Caribbean, Latin American, and Spanish influences all at once, and my picky palate keeps asking what exactly it's trying to be. But the vibes, the people, and the setting made the whole experience more than worth it. Come for the criollo cooking, stay for one of the warmest rooms in San Juan.
