The service person let me know that it would be two hours and the lunch hour before the repairs would be completed. I was surprised when he came back in just under 2 hours and said that the mechanic waited to take their lunch until my car was completed. I was amazed and the price was less than I would expect to pay elsewhere. I have always taken my cars for service here over the past 4 plus years I have lived here even though t is not the closest Chevy/GM dealer to me. It is because of service like this that I will continue to bring my vehicles back her to be serviced and they will get a nod for our next auto purchase.

I had a horrible experience with another dealership and started looking at other dealerships. That's where McElwain came into play! I was still pretty injured, so I couldn't come in until a few days later, but Tim made me feel at ease. He originally took my call about the Honda I saw online, and when I asked if it had a clean title, he not only texted me the answer, but a picture of the report. I planned on coming in the next day, but due to a change in plans, I was able to come that same day. He answered every text and informed me that he would tell me if the car had been sold, so we wouldn't drive up to find out then. He also let me know the policy on used cars due to how quickly they're moving right now- something that the guy at the other dealership never cared to do. As you can tell by now, I had a bitter taste in my mouth from my previous experience and expected every salesman to be the same. Tim was not. He went above and beyond, and every single person that we encountered was extremely friendly and eager to help. Tim was finishing up with another customer, so another guy pulled the car around. I didn't catch his name, but he was extremely friendly! Once Tim finished up, we took a test drive and all talked on the ride. Not once did I feel pressured into buying. Tim was so personable and laid back, and I got really good vibes from the business and atmosphere which made me purchase me awesome new Honda that day! He was straight forward with pricing and negotiation and it was such a painless process. Matt, the finance guy, was also super friendly and made the paperwork a breeze. He was so welcoming and never pressured me to purchase anything additional. I really appreciate that! For the first time in two weeks following my accident, I finally felt content. I miss my old civic like crazy, but I am so happy with how my experience went that I know I made the best choice by purchasing my car from McElwain. I drove away tonight no longer being afraid to drive and look forward to making great new memories in my new Honda.

I recently had one of two flex pipes on my Passat recently repaired and my bet was the other. So after looking for a good exhaust shop previously, I remembered someone posting about a shop in Butler. On a lark, I called this shop to see if they had any time to take a look. He said to bring it down so I did. Awesome. My 78 year old mom and me sat on some seventies couches for about twenty minutes and the gentleman came back and talked a little about the flex pipe repair. This was about to be my second on this particular pipe. He said that a straight pipe was already put on and should save me this repair in the future. All for about a quarter of the price of my most recent repair. Unbelievably quick service and affordable. Great job!

They put…read morethe resonator on did a good job and got the resonator fairly cheap but the next time I took it to a shop when they put it up on the stand they saw that my catalytic converter was gone and a straight pipe had been put in its place. The shop was the only place I had taken it to since I bought it off the lot, when it had a catalytic converter. Since it had been months since I had taken my vehicle here I couldn't report it to the district attorneys office for theft but I wanted to let everybody know be very careful taking your vehicle to the shop because they stole my catalytic converter.

I had to wait 3 weeks to get in which put me in a bind time wise because I sold my home and was moving into this rig but he told me it would only take a few days to do and that gave me enough time to do what I needed. Two weeks before my appt I called and left a message to make sure he had an item I wanted installed during the repair that is what everyone uses to do this but with the way parts availability is currently I had to make sure it wasn't tied up waiting on parts. My day comes and I drag it 100 miles at $6.00 a gallon for diesel to make my appt. As soon as I walk in he tells me he didn't know what I was talking about on the voice mail I left. Why didn't he call and ask me? If he would have I would have known right away he didn't know what he was doing and went another route. So, he slides under the rig and makes crazy suggestions on what to do. I've run shops since the 70's so I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. I'm just at the point in my life the heavy stuff is to much for me to fix. I suggested the route we discussed on the phone and told him a few things we needed to pay attention to and he slides out from under the rig, tells me he isn't my guy and walks away leaving me standing there. Now my home isn't getting repaired on time for me to move into and I'm screwed. STAY AWAY!!!!
