Doctor Kaw promised me that I would retain my close up vision (very important to…read moreme) after my cataract surgery and then she implanted a distance only IOL and now not only can I not see close up or mid range but I have imperfect distance vision too. When I wasn't jumping up and down and kissing her feet with joy and instead wanted to know why she did the opposite of what I wanted she physically turned her back on me. She refused to continue my treatment (and I was only four days post op). She left me with uneven sight, no referral, no medical records...nothing. I'm having to start over with another doctor. I will never be the same physically or emotionally. Now she says the outcome was as "intended" and is "optimal" which is ridiculous considering she did the exact opposite of what I wanted. She also says I should call for an appointment, as if I would ever go back there again after she kicked me out because her fragile ego was wounded after I told her I was unhappy with the results! Avoid this medical office at all costs!!! Edit: After more than a month I finally got my medical records and her doctor's notes are all lies and leave out her tantrums and the odd things she said to me like "why reach for high Mercedes when you can't even ride a Toyota" when I asked about Toric lenses. She will deny it but I can prove it.

The staff at Visionworks was incredible from start to finish. They asked me to take my contacts off for my visit and provided me with a spare case for them. The doctor said my eyes were adapting beautifully to the contacts (which I have only been wearing for a year) and there were no issues. My prescription didn't change at all since my last visit a year ago. The staff told me what was covered by my insurance and gave me a quote on my contacts. Even when I said I wanted ti see if I could get them cheaper elsewhere, they had no problem and gave me a copy of my prescription. (I got them for almost a hundred dollars cheaper at 1800contacts but I suspect that's because they buy in bulk and are able to give a better deal to the consumer). Visionworks uses top-of-the-line tech to check my eyes and keep me seeing 20/20.

I had a recent eye exam at their new location at 10 Starbuck Drive, Green Island and I am…read moredisapointed. The new office location for parking is great but for me that's where it ends. The doors going into the office did not have the office's name on the doors, so you're left wondering if you wandered in the right door. The doctor I saw is wonderful but the entire suite does not have a sink to wash your hands to remove and replace your contact lens, neither for the patients nor the doctors. With COVID and all, it is not condusive to wash one's hands in their kitchenette or the public restroom in the hallway - which is outside of their office. Then at the end of my exam, they wrote me a script for my contact lens to be filled at another place. They don't order contact lenses, at least that's what the receiptionist told me. Now I have to find another place to take care of my reading glass lens and to order contact lenses for me. What a pain.
