I was staying at a hotel just down the street and our experience was so good, My son and I had breakfast two days in a row here. Not only was Sierra and the team of people working the breakfast counter sweeter than the homemade jam, they were also engaging friendly and so kind to my son and me. Let's talk about the food. The homemade bread, perfectly cooked eggs, homemade local sausage, fresh local breads from the bakery around the corner, which I believe was Stick Figure or something like that, and probably the best pancake I've had in years. Their corned beef is likely from a can, but it's so good because they cook it so it's very crispy. I always steal some of his corned beef to add to my eggs! Their breakfast burrito is amazing. It's simply filled, with just scrambled eggs, cheese, small bits of ham, and hash browns. It's topped with an enchilada sauce that is similar to a ranchero sauce, and is served with sour cream and guacamole. It's a massive burrito, and SO GOOD! My husband said it's his new favorite. Social on Main is popular, and so we always go early (before 8am). After 8am, there is usually a wait--especially on Saturdays. Their servers are always friendly, and the food is delivered fast. Their coffee is nice and strong, too. I wish we had a Social on Main near our house, because we'd visit them weekly. Give them a try if you are in Blowing Rock for a visit and want a great breakfast!

We go to Boone once a month and we have our favorites but always try something new each time well this place is off the list. After waiting 15 min for someone to come and wait on us we then order simple burgers, fries and a drink after another 20 min it comes and my burger and bun are burnt I asked for another one if it wouldnt take as long the second time I guess he didnt understand because 15 min later he brings us the bill and says have a nice day. I said I guess that I dont have to pay for the lunch I never got then and he says oh man I am sorry let me get you your burger I say at this point no thanks SO go to the register and they try and give us a 20% discount for our troubles I said how about 20% off on the meal we got and no charge on the one we didnt The restaurant is also old, dirty, tears in the seats the back emergency door had old rags stuff on the floor against it I guess to keep the air inside or bugs out who knows. There are several other nice places in town its a shame they are next to the hotel and get visitors in town that do not know any better until its to late read more

If I could have no stars I would. Adam that works there got pissed off apparently because I walked right by the sign that says 'seat yourself' on 9/11/2015 around 6:10pm and sat down. He strolled up and said I haven't even started to clean this table.... Sarcastically. I said I'll move so I moved to the next table. I sat there for about ~15 minutes and listened as he was over the top nice to the tables near me and just left me sitting there. I finally gave up and went up front, moved the sign that says 'seat yourself' up to the register/station and the cook saw me. I pointed at the sign and said would you mind showing this to him (as I pointed toward the sign and Adam). Very disappointing. read more
