I first saw Troy's and thought it would be a pleasant, classic barbershop experience. I had gone to barbershops like it since I was a kid and enjoyed the experience. On this particular day, I went in with a buddy of mine just out of convenience. My buddy had been to Troy's a couple time before and told me to be wary of his rudeness, but when I arrived my first impressions were the opposite. Troy looked at me and saw my length of hair, looked at my friend and said, "You guys, really?" First sign of his utter douche personality. We waited for around in his shop for a little while before it was my turn to go. I got up in the chair and didn't know exactly what I wanted. We worked it through and he asked some small talk questions. My cut took a little longer than his normal customers, which obviously torqued him. Then my buddy and he got to chatting about the previous times he had been there (which Troy brought up) and Troy antagonized my friend about how picky of a customer he was. He went on to complain how the haircut took nearly forty minutes, to which my friend replied, "Well, I got my 15 bucks worth." Troy took that one to heart. My haircut turned out great, but then Troy proceeded to kick me and my friend out. So if you would like to spend a ridiculous $15 on a haircut, be verbally assaulted, and have probably one of the worst times of your week, go and enjoy Troy's. I know I never will again. read more

Troy gives good hair cuts, but is not a man of character. I will never support him or his business and recommend that you do not either. I was in his shop this week after not getting my hair cut there for a year or so and he proceeded to lecture me about how he does not value customers that are not loyal to him, and how cutting their hair is not worth his time. He was talking disrespectfully about 2 guys that came in once for a hair cut and never came back... these were my roommates who I referred to his shop. He put me in a very uncomfortable position where I felt degraded that my business was not valued. After the cut, I payed him for his service, at which point he began to argue with me once again which was very immature. As a 21 year old college student, I felt as though I conducted myself much more mature than this "business professional." Troy is not a man of any character. He does not respect you, your time, or those in his shop. He is a man of low integrity and values. Troy gives great hair cuts, but if you are looking for the "small town barber shop camaraderie" where you feel valued, you won't find it at Troys. read more

Not sure how this place stays in business. I was in town for a funeral and wanted to support a local business. Went Monday and there was a sign on the door " Closing at 11:00 today". Went back Tuesday and there was a sign saying "Closing at 1:00" today. Decided to try one more time and went Wednesday morning and there was a sign "Closed Wednesday ". Strike 3! read more

Great place to go to get a haircut. Definitely recommend if you want a place to just get a haircut and get on your way and it's walk-ins only. Sometimes their's a line, but each person usually takes about 15 min, so it's not too bad. Around the afternoon is when he's the busiest, just so you know you'll probably have to wait. read more

I have been going to Troy's since I was a freshman in college. I am now a senior, and this is the only place I will get my haircut. Troy is a really great guy. It is walk in only so be prepared to sit for a bit. I highly suggest giving him a try. read more

Miserable barber with a horrendous attitude. Do not waste your money here, you will not get a good haircut and he will likely whine about your hair the entire time. That was my experience at least. read more
