We started off by ordering three appetizers - the fried feta, the nachos and the pork belly. The feta tasted great on its own, but we thought the dipping sauce was too sweet. Was it honey-based? The pork belly itself had great flavor and the sauce wasn't bad, though we thought it was sweet as well. The meat is the star of the show and doesn't need such a thick coating of sweet sauce. The nachos were a total disappointment. While the plate was piled high with chips, there was a distinct dearth of toppings. There was a cheese sauce on some chips and there was a dollop of sour cream in the middle but it had very few beans or other toppings. Really, most of the dish was just plain chips. Total waste. When it came time for entrees, we ordered the Rachel and the fish and chips (we were disappointed that the "today's menu" online said they had fish tacos but the menu in the brewery did not list them). The fish and chips was a total disappointment. Typical breading but thin pieces of fish and was served with only a tiny portion of vinegar. The Rachel was okay but really nothing special. While we'll definitely be back to Union in the future, I doubt we'd order food from here again.

It's hard to go wrong with a long thick slice of pork belly topped with BBQ sauce and pickles. I would absolutely get this again. I think I would drop the $3 upcharge to upgrade chips to fries. The chips were basic Utz out of the bag. Not bad, but this sandwich needs fries I think. A lot of other stuff on the menu looked good. I think they have some healthy-ish options if you want (including a soba noodle and veggie salad that caught my eye). Prices are what you'd expect at a place like the Union Collective. Definitely worth trying out!

The hostess was friendly, bubbly and helpful with our menu choices. We started with the Pretzel bites with a cheese sauce and a mustard sauce for dipping. Little pillows with plenty of salt, a winner. No entree, we shared Onion Rings, Boneless chicken wings (Bbq sauce and garlic Parmesan sauce) and two sausages, bratwurst and knockwurst. Along with my wife ordering Kolsch on tap, we were in heaven. It brought us back to a trip we took to Germany. All delicious. I'm grateful that they put the sauerkraut on the side, it would make me sick. There are a lot of beers and ales on tap and many are authentic from Germany. I had ginger ale, shame on me. A cursory glance at the menu informed me that I could order schnitzel but there was no beer I found desirable. Luckily the bartender scrounged up a High Noon for me. The food, when it arrived was really good and I ate all of it. The bartended was friendly and attentive, so I had a pretty enjoyable experience overall.

The pretzels are so good too. I recommend the cinnamon sugar pretzel with the glaze. It taste like cream cheese. The service is always really great as well. 10 out of 10. My favorite part is enjoying the snowballs and pretzels while sitting outside and people watching. It is a must buy while Fells Point.

I love a good hot dog, I don't care why they're made of, you can never make me hate hot dogs. And when I want a good hot dog that I know is gonna be amazing every time, I'm gonna get the pretzel dog. So here I was on a Saturday night and I smell that delicious pretzel dough, I hadn't eaten like all day so I got 3 pretzel dogs. I was full after 2 and just stashed the 3rd in my coat pocket because it was wrapped in foil and who's gonna know ?? Right, right. So I probably went to like 3 more bars after that. Got home, crashed. Woke up and was like "why is there a hot dog in my pocket?" And did I eat it? Yes I did and it was still delicious. Truly an ode to yet another fun night in fells. Not to mention the service is always friendly and fast. It's so convenient and it's right in the heart of the little square area.
