Could such magic truly exist so close to home? Was this too good to be true?? IT'S NOT!!! What the hell? Why did I wait so long to confirm?? We had an absolutely delightful lunch today, after picking up some new lenses for my boyfriend's old sunglasses at the Sunglass Hut... don't even get me started on THAT fiasco... The kiosk is located down by the post office in the mall. Did you know there's a post office in the mall? Well there is, and oh the stories I could tell from back when I lived in Towson and that was my main office... but, again, this review is about AMAZING hot dogs on a stick. Stop trying to sidetrack me. So my boyfriend got the Mozz Sausage Stick (A half mozzarella and half premium beef sausage stick inside deep fried breading) and the Premium Sausage Hotdog (A deep fried hotdog on a stick with a premium beef sausage inside) and he thoroughly enjoyed both. There are several dipping sauces available, but he didn't need any of them. Our super helpful counter person suggested that we have all our selections dusted with Old Bay, and I can't say that it hurt. I love that she was so friendly and clearly wanted us to have a good experience. Sometimes it's not like that (like at that crappy bubble tea place in White Marsh Mall). I got the Potato Mozz Sausage Hotdog (Half mozz and half sausage with diced potato around it) and it was GLORIOUS. It doesn't hurt that the hot dogs (aka sausages) that they use are top notch. But the cheese pull is just what you want - delicious AND fun. Also I'm a notorious sauce wh0r3 and both the sweet thai chili and the spicy mayo were on point. I had such a great time eating what should absolutely be something that is available at every carnival or festival. Fun and tasty? What more could you want? Go have one. Or a couple. I have been looking for a place like this for so long. We were in the area and I was beyond excited seeing this place. It def lives up to the hype. I don't even remember what we got They were so cheesy and flavorful. And they offer to put sugar on it, which I thought was weird but I had to try it. It was amazing. Decided to stop by after a trip to town center and was pleasantly surprised! I got the #3 (hot dog & mozzarella) - it was so yummy!!! I added old bay and sugar per a recommendation from a regular, and it was perfect!! It sounds a little odd, but trust me, you should get it! I tried the honey mustard, sriracha mayo, and Thai chili sauces. Honey mustard was my favorite. The wait wasn't long at all, no more than 5 minutes. Great location- right next to the escalator. This makes for a lot of foot traffic which can make it a bit noisy, but it's still the perfect place for a quick bite! I'm only taking off a point because I wish the hotdog was a bit fuller! We had a great experience at Ssong's in Towson Town Center. I don't go to this mall very often, but I'll go back just for the hot dogs. I got the #3 - mozzarella sausage dog and it was fantastic!! I almost went up to get another after I finished it. My daughter got the kiwi juice drink and said it was really good. As always, love Ssong's hotdogs. I got hooked at a different Yelp Elite event at the Columbia mall location. This location is on the first floor of the Towson town mall. Great dogs as usual, just the location and cleanliness of the surrounding area is bad. That is only reason I can't give 5 stars. The tables were filthy, there was garbage all over. Ssong's Hotdog is a stand-up shop on the first floor of the Towson mall. It doesn't look like much, but they serve authentic Korean hotdogs! I ordered the #12 Ssong's Premium Hotdog, which was delicious. Overall it's similar to an American hotdog, but the hotdog portion is larger, and the crust has a more sticky flour-like consistency. I have been SO excited to try this place ever since i found out it existed. I finally made it over and ended up trying the potato mozz hot dog. They offered sugar or old bay to be sprinkled over the top and i chose old bay. for sauce options they have sriracha mayo, honest mustard, and ketchup. I do wish they had regular mustard or dijon as i think that would go better with the flavor. Upon first glance, the hotdog looked really good. the potato's were so crispy and the first bite created a rlly nice cheese pull. Unfortunately, where this fell short for me was i was halfway through before i reached any hotdog. so i pulled it all off the stick and opened up the rest of it and there was only one single 1.5 in piece of hotdog in the entire thing, as if they cut up a full hotdog and skewer one piece for each. So to market it as a mozz and potato hotdog is false, and it definitely was not worth $6. That one single bite of hotdog was incredibly delicious, so it really is a shame that they cheap out. Really friendly staff and fast service, but definitely won't be returning. read more

It was ready after just a few minutes, and you have the option of getting a sprinkle of sugar or Old Bay on the hotdog. I decided on the sugar, at the cashier's recommendation, and I'm so glad I did! The hint of sweetness gave this crispy salty cheesy goodness on a stick just the touch it needed. Absolutely delicious snack! There is also an array of sauces to choose from, including sriracha mayo, sweet chili sauce, as well as the old reliables (ketchup and mustard). After reading other reviews, I made note to check how much hot dog there was too. Like others have mentioned they do cut up the hot dog, but I didn't feel like there was any less hot dog than if they had kept it whole. Being honest isn't always easy but I was disappointed with my hot dog. On my last picture you can see that I was more than halfway through my meal before getting my first bite of hotdog. It was basically the size of a Vienna sausage. Overall the flavor was really good and you have the option of adding one or all sauces yourself! And they offer you sugar or Old bay to add as a seasoning. I suggest both :) There are a few tables around but fill up quickly by people that are just resting from shopping vs eating lol The staff was nice and helpful. I'd never seen this before and I am always on the search for a good hotdog and this did not disappoint! There was no line and I had no idea what these were, so luckily, I could just stand there and puzzle out the menu. The 3D representations (like the fake food they do for sushi!) were very helpful and I wish there were more of them. I got the the Premium Dog, no sprinkle on top--I just put a little squirt of honey mustard on one side and ketchup on the other. Right after I ordered, I saw the other worker get a skewered dog and freshly dip it into the batter, then fry it. The woman at the register was very friendly. My wife and I were staying at a hotel across the street for about a week while I was attending a course. We are at Ssong's hotdog at least 5 times during our stay. It might be one of our new favorite comfort foods. We tried most almost everything on the menu and were never disappointed. The hot dogs are perfectly cooked, tender, and with just the right amount of breading. If you are in the area, I can't reccomend them enough. We ate at places all over Towson during the week, and Ssong's Hotdog was by far our favorite food for the week. read more

You can tell that a lot of care and time is taken when the food is made and served. I highly recommend the Premium Sausage Hotdog, Mozz Sausage Hotdog, and Seaweed Spring Roll Stick. There are also many sauce choices for your choosing. Atmosphere: 10/10. The location of the kiosk is right at the center of the ground floor of the mall. Perfect for stopping by, grabbing a quick bite, and continuing with any shopping. The kiosk design itself is super cool and unique. Service: 10/10. This is as good if not better than the food. I really enjoyed my first time experience. Its located by Lids in Towson mall. I've been trying to visit for a while. We tried it today and it was amazing . I got Spicy Mozzarella Sausage best choice! My mom got the original and my sister order the original and the plain mozzarella. The crunch and the flavor is insanely delicious! I originally tried Ssong at "The Hub" in Catonsville, I loved it! I only went once because it was a little too far from me. I was so excited to see that they had a towson location. I tried the same exactly items that I had the first time (mozzarella with honey mustard) and it was definitely not the same. This one was smaller, less texturized, and flat in flavor. Honestly, it tasted a bit gentrified in my opinion plus parking isn't great. I'll stick to the Catonsville location. The Catonsville location is 5/5 but this location is a 1/5. It took a minute to find this little hut but once I did I didn't regret it. I ordered the #7 which is a potato mozzarella sausage (hotdog). It was good but the hotdogs was very skinny and of course it was only half because the other half was cheese. But the hotdogs could definitely be bigger other than that.
