The bag itself was something that in total, could be replaced at literally a $20 cost but as bags of every sort have some kind of magical power over their female owners, this bag could NOT be thrown away, so, enter Brian at Port City...He broke away from "real" upholstery jobs to fix this obviously very, very, very serious beach bag situation and his charge you ask...NOTHING. For those of us that even after 30yrs of marriage can't understand the connection between females and bags of any sort, Brian's customer service OR need to have a comedic break, served me well...He got a customer for life and I got to dress out as a super hero equal to that caped wonder Mr. Clutch (type of hand bag for you younger men who one day WILL be versed in all things bags if you intend on procreating with a female). In all seriousness, post this visit I checked around. Brian is known for being a consumate professional, doing outstanding work and most importantly, IMHO, he presents as a humble yet confident human with a service mentality lacking so much in the world today. The price was so much better than what the dealer wanted to charge for the factory cover. This cover was custom designed specifically for this boat to my specifications. The amazing customer service that was offered by Dilcia and her family was truly amazing. The first iteration of the boat cover did not have cutouts for the cleat. The cleats needed to be free and clear for when the marina launches it into the water so they can control it. When I mentioned this to Dilcia, she immediately obtained clarification and modified the cover to meet my needs with no additional cost. Her family came with her for the initial installation and removal of the cover. They took the time patiently to show us exactly how to install the cover while the boat is in the water and how to remove it when the boat is in the water. Her son also stated that sometimes there are issues with snaps that are mounted on the boat or on the cover. He shared that if we have any issues we are to call them immediately and they will come resolve the issue. I cannot recommend A&D Maldonado Upholstery highly enough. I will definitely be using them for any future upholstery needs. They offer a wide variety of upholstery services including Marine, Auto and Furniture. This was definitely a five-star plus experience.

They seemed to do a good job meaning nothing was forgotten, broken, and I did not experience any…read moreleaks or collateral damage. It was also fast and they did put in the correct quantity of oil. Not sure what grade of oil or brand of oil filter they used. At about $120, it's very expensive. Clearly you are paying for convenience. As a former tribologist, mechanic and DIYer, I can do this job myself in 15 minutes for about $35-40 (using a group 3 / group 3 PAO blend "synthetic" like Mobile 1, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum or similar), and an OEM filter which is my personal preference. I don't know what grade of "synthetic" they use. Many oils labeled "synthetic" are not group 4 / 5 based oils, ie PAOs or Esters - true synthetics. Most are made from group 3 base stocks - a highly refined, ultra clean petroleum. Having said that, as long as the API donut meets your engine's requirements, you are fine. I recommend changing the oil every 5,000 miles. Knock 20% off of that if your car is turbo charged or 4,000 miles. Obviously PAOs and Esters will give you better protection especially at the thermal extremes but come at a premium price. I'm positive these oil change shops do not use true synthetics because they are cost prohibitive and would eat their profit margin. Caveat emptor.

Returned to Valvoline to retrieve the cover and was advised that several had been thrown away as they cleaned out storage room several weeks ago. They made no offer to pay for replacement, which cost over $300.00 dollars.
