They have bent over backwards for me several times when i have been in need. Also, from a year ago: Went to these guys for a full synthetic oil change on 5/23/23 -- their price was $30 cheaper than Jiffy Lube! Then, coincidentally, as I was leaving town at 1230 on 5/26 on 74, my steering wheel started shuddering whenever I steered toward the right at high speed. Immediately turned back to Grease Monkey. Alan accompanied me on a test drive all the way from Monkey Junction back onto 74 to troubleshoot, ordered two control arms on the spot, shoehorned me into their schedule and had me back on the road by 4:30PM. Incredible! Nicest, most respectful guys and so relieved to have found a dependable, trustworthy shop. I had no idea they did all sort of mechnica work!

When I 1st walked in, the Mechanic said I was really lucky, and that he was the best guy in town to look at my car, because he had been the Service Foreman at Honda for the past 15yrs. David Cochran is the new Co-Owner at Austin's Tire & Auto, so I knew my 2014 Honda Pilot was in good hands. While waiting, I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with Tristan and John, but I knew I was in trouble when David came and sat down beside me. He patiently listened to all my concerns about whether or not to invest the $5000 in my car, and he thoughtfully weighed in on all my options. He said it would cost $1500 more if I had gone to the dealership because he had lower overhead. The parts were in, and David said he'd try and have it done by the end of the following day. My boyfriend thought it would take longer, as they had to remove the engine for the repair. David went to the shop at 4 am to make sure my vehicle would be ready when he said it was. They quoted me $5000 and the total came in below the quote and on time in less than 32 hrs. With Austin's Tire & Auto, I've finally found the local equivalent to Hearne's Automotive in Raleigh, who I've continued to do business with since leaving Raleigh 11 years ago. I feel very lucky to have found David and the incredible crew at Austin's. All the mechanics at Austin's are motorheads. They live for cars. Their hobby when they get off work is hot rods. It's their life. They live it. It's like a musician or a painter, it's their art. The Silver Lining - David had a badass rat rod out front, so I got to take some cool photos that put a huge smile on my face.

And that's exactly what happened his brother-in-law Glenn was the technician allowed me in the shop to watch I found along with Glenn the screw that had punctured the tire in a campground that had been a victim of hurricane Michael. We remove the screw patch the tire with a super patch. Rebalanced it and away we went all at a very reasonable price I can't say enough about Ronnie's shop. Highly recommend.

That is a known defect in the Chevy engine. I wish they could have replaced the entire engine for that cost, but they did not have an engine available and could not find one.
