Our car is currently stuck in the snow in our driveway. Though they couldn't get the truck down to tow the car, William (the driver) took me to Walmart to get medications for my child with cancer. These guys are the absolute best! My car was in a tricky situation and these gentlemen went above and beyond. They got my car out of the ditch and fixed my tire on top of it. They had so much confidence and knowledge and were very funny and put me at ease. I wasn't from the area and they even helped me get out of the area to the main road. Now I made a mistake and paid my rent and got food instead of paying my car insurance and got into trouble for doing that. It was my fault. Now with that being said please tell me why the only issue I had getting my car back came from Troy's. From being so rude over the phone. Not wanting to give the information I need to find out what I needed to come with to get my car out. They wouldn't give me any info on MY car until I had all paper work in order. A friend of mine had to call and be very very pushy with them to get anything out of Becky. You could tell very much they didn't want to give my car up. body shop/insurance sent them to pick up my car after a accident. The driver that came acted like he was a little upset that he had to do a little work because the car would not start, then he hooked up the cable and drug the car upon the trailier. He was very unpleasant and very rude. I hope we dont ever have to use this company again. It is bad enough to have a accident much less a driver that acts rude and hateful, Customers are the reason he has a paycheck and sometimes you have to bend your legs or elbow to do the job.!!!! Troys wrecker service in hillview is the WORST! My car broke down on 65 today and Ray Stovall immediately called them to give me a tow. They said it would be about an hour. Okay whatever thats fine i understand. This was at 1:30. Hours passed and nothing. I was sitting in the 100 degree weather for FOUR HOURS. Every time i called them they said "they are on their way" or "15 min and they will be there". It was absolutely ridiculous. I was stranded on the side of 65 north with traffic zooming by and the sun beating down on me because I could not turn my car on to get A/C. Finally after 4 HOURS, the driver showed up and took me and my car home. I now have a sunburn, heat exhaustion, and im broke because they overcharged me. It's ridiculous. So long story short, dont use Troys wrecker service if you need a tow! However, anthony was the driver and he was very nice. I was very dehydrated and he gave me his drink that he had just bought. So i gige anthony 5 stars but i give Troys wrecker company negative 10000 stars! (As you can see in the picture it was 105 degrees and it was over 4 hours when they got there) read more

When I called no one sounded friendly and it seemed like I had to pull the answers out of him. I had my vehicle towed 3 miles down the road to my house and in that short of amount of time the employee (I think his name was Jonn) got the inside of my car very dirty from all the dirt and grease he had on him and never apologized! Troy's was recommended to me by my insurance company after my car was hit by another driver. It took Troy's four and a half hours to get a truck to me. By that time, the body shop was already closed. To top it all off, the wrecker took my car to the wrong body shop. Use someone else. read more

I got my car towed from a parking lot. When I called to ask if they had it the guy at night said that I could come pick it up in the morning. I called back to ask about what documents I needed and he repeated that I could pick it up in the morning. I get there this morning and the lady leaving said I would need to have called to make an appointment for today to pick it up. So after I was lied to 2 times to begin with I continued to call after I left and the girl who answers the phone says they for release cars regardless of appointment on sundays. So now lie #3. I'm not upset with them for towing my car that's what they job is. I'm highly pissed that I was lied to. That is an unethical way to run a business. read more

My car had a dead battery and needed to be towed. The Mechanic shop called for Troy's to pick up my car. Was told 2 hour wait. Fine but I had to get to work and left my key. The driver removed a button from my enter consul to be able to put the car in gear, he made two scratched and failed to put the protective button back. I called spoke to the owner a week ago when the mechanic was able to confirm who took my car. I spoke to the owner Troy that assured me he'd make it right call back the next day. He did not call. I gave him the weekend, called Tuesday. Was told he wasn't there. On Thursday he still hadn't called. I wouldn't use this service again. My next email will be to the mechanic letting them know they are never allowed to send Troy's to pick up any of my cars. read more

They are extremely polite and treat your car well! With 24-hour service, you can call no matter what time and they will come pick you up or you can schedule a pickup. Complete Scam!!! Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Worst Customer Service and Business Model I have ever dealt with. They will try to scam and get any little extra bit of money out of you for no reason. My car was towed from an apartment complex lot Saturday night due to a miscommunication on where I could and could not park. Totally understandable that Troys was merely doing their job that night. I wasn't even upset about that issue. How I was treated and what continued to unfold after the initial tow is what has outraged me. I called Sunday morning to inquire when and where I could pick up my car. This process was not an easy task, I gave them more than adequate details about my car and the tow that should have been sufficient enough for them to tell me if I had in fact had my car at the impound lot. They proceeded to keep me on the phone asking tons more meaningless questions, some of which I could not answer, "in order for then to locate my car." They informed me they were closed Sunday and that I would not be able to get my car until Monday morning. Complete inconvenience! I also asked for a total and they informed me it would be $225 and that if I did not pick the car up on Monday I would be charged for each additional day. I get to Troy's at 9:10am on Monday morning to pick up my car. This is 10 minutes after they opened for the day. I walk in, there are 3 women in the front lobby. Two gossiping and decorating a christmas tree, another at the desk texting. No one so much as looked up or greeted me with any form of pleasantry or smile. I had to acknowledge them. I was then treated as though I was inconveniencing them for picking up my car and as though I had done something so awful by getting my car towed. I gave the girl at the desk to $225 in cash, the total that I was told over the phone the day prior, only to be told now that was no longer the correct total. I was now being charged for a storage fee for Monday and $25 additional because there were no keys with the car when it was towed. Of course there were no keys with the car when it was towed bc I did not call to have it towed in the first place. And how does picking my car up 10 minutes after they open constitute a full days storage charge. I only brought $225 in cash so I then had to leave and get the additional cash in order to get my car because they would not take any other form of payment. When I come back with cash the girl proceeds to give me my change in multiple dollars worth of quarters. How does your company only accept cash and then are not even equipped to give a customer back change in a reasonable cash denomination. To top it off my driver license, proof of insurance and actual keys to the car were not enough to get my car out of the lot. I had to get proof of registration that I did not have on me nor was I told prior to picking up my car, that it was something I needed. I understand that working in this line of work and industry is not an easy one and that they probably deal with assholes and irate individuals on a daily basis but the way I was treated was unacceptable and completely unprofessional. I have worked in customer service for years and have been in charge of multiple businesses. Customer Service and how you treat people will 100% make or break your business. Policies and Procedures should be well laid out and easy for your patrons. They shouldn't have to be treated poorly and jump through hoops to give you money. Ripping people off is no way to do business! Being Fair and helpful will always win. read more

If your in Bullitt county and have an accident, it is more likely than not Troys will be contacted for you by police. If so, refuse their services if I were you! Extremely high pricing and once they start on your car there is nothing you can do to stop them. Vultures that prey on you because they are one of very few towing companies in the county. I strongly advise you to seek another company for your tow. Twice I have had to overpay for a trip less than 5 miles ($200+). Third time I refused service and contacted another company for $50 less and they came from further distance to retrieve my car. Crooks will be crooks! read more

We have roadside service and have used it MANY times and have never had to pay anything extra even though we were taken from Louisville to Shepherdsville before. Troy's charged us an extra $25.00 on top of the $50.00 that they will receive from Roadside service to tow us 5 miles up the road!! read more

Worst service I have ever experienced...5 hours for a tow truck to show up!! They were recommended by State Farm. We were constantly lied to, I was told a flat bed was waiting to come back from picking up a very large car and it was taking longer??? What a line of crap! A flat bed never showed up, a regular wrecker showed up, took 10 minutes to pull my sons car out of the ditch and charged him $175....that was to be taken care of by State Farm!
