All I can say is "WOW!" I brought my 2012 Ford Explorer to Tru-Line after being hit in the RF wheel that punctured the tire. As a result all 4 tires had to be replaced to keep the wheel diameters the same. The car had a bad pull to the right and all 4 (new) tires felt like they had flat spots. I expected the pull, but the feel of the new tires was very surprising and worrisome. I bought the tires through Tire Rack and they contract with Firestone to mount the tires for them. I was worried about using them, but I went along with it b/c Tire Rack was the only place I could find the Bridgestone tires I wanted. Since Firestone mounted/balanced the tires, I paid Tru-Line their fee to re-balance the tires before they did the alignment to make sure there would be no issues with the balancing. It didn't surprise me to find out that the balancing Firestone did was off on each wheel from 1/2 ounce to as much as 2-1/2 ounces! Like other reviews have mentioned, Byron clearly knows his business. When he asked me a series of questions about how I drive the car and the kinds of loads I carry so he could set up the alignment to offset the effects of my weight by load balancing each wheel independent of the others and aligning all 4-wheels, not just the front wheels, my jaw hit the floor! I'm 52 years old and I have had lots of tires mounted & balanced and alignment work done over the years and no one has ever asked me these questions in the past. I have 35k miles on my SUV and it has never driven so straight or sure; it feels like a new car! Tru-line is not the cheapest and that's fine, b/c quality work costs what it costs. Go to a Firestone or Goodyear shop if you're looking for cheap and that's what you will get. Discounting his prices would only lower the standards of the work they do and if you drive an expensive/sophisticated vehicle (or not), you want to know that the people touching your car have the knowledge and the tools not just to fix your car, but actually improve the driving experience if possible. I also want to feel assured that they will be careful with my car and work until it's right. In my opinion this is the kind of shop that Byron runs. You simply cannot get the level of service and expertise that Bryon provides from a corporate-run franchise! I will be bringing my wife's car to him to perform the same wheel balancing and 4-wheel alignment. Thank you Byron for the very good work! read more

What can I say that hasn't all ready been said about Tru-Line. The PROFESSIONALS at Tru-Line definitely deserve every star they have earned on these reviews. I live only four blocks from my local tire and alignment shop but I drove 35 miles just to have Byron and his techs do what the dealer and others could not do. The PROFESSIONALS at Tru-Line definitely know under car mechanics but also customer service. The latter which is lacking much these days in the national auto chains. And by the way, this was my first visit and they made me feel like they've know me for a long time. Byron, the owner, was the technician who worked on my car and explained in detail what was going to be done to make my car drive better than when it was new and reassured me that the job will be done right. Even though my alignment took a bit longer than expected, the old adage applies here..."Quality takes time"! I would of waited as long as it took to do the job right without argument. This was the first time in my life I was asked what my weight was in an automotive shop. I was asked this because the wheel geometry changes when weight is applied in the vehicle and that changes the way it drives. Talk about attention to detail! So ladies, don't panic if asked what your weight is. It's all to make your vehicle much safer and pleasurable to drive. (You're welcome Willie :) ) After my alignment, I could tell immediately that something good was done for my 2011 Genesis 4.6 was now a thoroughbred instead of an old mare. Okay, I might be exaggerating a bit but you guys know what I mean :) My only negative is that I didn't get my new set of tires from them and have them set everything up. And that negative is on me and not Tru-line. Next time for sure! Do yourself a favor when your tire, alignment, or under car needs are required and go to the PROFESSIONALS at Tru-Line. If you believe in having a local owner/operator business being worth your time to support. If you think quality is not optional. If precision work is your thing. If you are convinced your life is worth a little wait, a little money and a little more than a slam bam job - Get in here.... however, if you want to support a large corporation who hires people @ minimum wage, or who offers incentives to "sell" you things you may not even need because they are on commission. Maybe you are in too much of a hurry and need your tires in 15 minutes - or you prefer a polished white floor and guys/gals wearing suits and sport jackets working on your car....wrong place mate Look I have had nothing but the best TIRE and ALIGNMENT service. I guess maybe because that is what Byron and Pete are specializing in. These 2 are not interested in swapping your window washer fluid or having lunch with you so you feel good and buy more cool stuff than you ever wanted... they are pretty focused on your tires and your alignment - at the end of the day it reminds me how great of a place I go to and refer lots of people to. 5 years of service on my cars and you know what....every time I show up - its the same guy - every time! Byron (or Pete) say "Hi Ed, how's the Porsche treating you?" Next thing they do is look right at my tires and start a detailed analysis of how well it is doing based on tire wear - WOW! I run HPDE days at Pacific Raceways in Kent, and The Ridge Motor Sports Park in Shelton where my cars sees 130 mph for HOURS - this stuff IS very important for that type of driving. I honestly cannot recommend Tru-Line highly enough!! Not only was this the best customer service I have ever received at an auto-shop, it is actually the best customer service I have ever received period. Byron and Pete are both incredibly knowledgeable, personable, accommodating and friendly. I originally brought my car in for an alignment (I bought it used a few weeks back and it was pulling to the right). I had been recommended to Tru-Line by Justin over at Redmond European, and other shop I cannot say enough about, and who I highly respect and recommend. Although the quote was slightly higher than some of the others I got, I truly got what I paid for. Although the alignment was a success Pete noticed that all 4 of my suspension bushings were cracked through, and one tie-rod was seized. Having a 3rd party warranty I immediately called the company who informed me that the tie-rod was not covered if it was seized from rust. Byron ensured me it was not, and offered to speak with the warranty company, who are notoriously difficult to deal with since they believe everyone is trying to rip them off. Needless to say Byron contacted me later that day to say that they had agreed to warranty the work, and I was booked in a couple of days later. Due to a mistake on my end, I missed my appointment, but rather than expressing any frustration Byron simply offered me another appointment. I have since gotten the car back, as good as new. The cherry on the cake for me was when I called for the 2nd time ever, Byron answered and said "Hi Kevin"....I was a little stumped for a moment since we had only spoken once before. It is this level of personal service that sets Tru-Line apart. If it is a service that Tru-Line offer, they will be getting all my business in the future. read more

I was referred to Tru-line by CMARR Automotive in Seattle. CMARR does not do alignments so I made an appointment for my daughter to take her Ford Thunderbird to Tru-Line. They did a great job on the alignment last year, but they noticed that the right front ball joint needed a new arm assembly/joint. They also replaced the left and right inner tie rods. Her car was really squeaking when she went over driveways and speed bumps before Byron took care of the problem. Her car rides very smoothly now. My son brought in his Nissan Altima for an alignment a few months ago. Another great job by Tru-Line. I took my Honda Odyssey in yesterday because it needed to have the front struts replaced and an alignment done. I cannot believe how smooth my car runs now. No more fighting the steering wheel and I no longer feel every crack in the road. Coins used to rattle in my cup holder every time I went over a small bump in the road. After I picked up my van I was immediately aware of the blissful quiet! My van really runs like a new car and it is 13 years old! My entire family will be faithful Tru-Line customers for life! I did notice that Tru-Line always has a bunch of specialty cars (Porsche's) with modifications parked out front that they are going to or did work on. Obviously the very picky Porsche owners know the best shops and Tru-Line is definitely one of them. read more

First rate shop and customer service. This is my second time going to Byron for a full alignment work on my A6. The first time was after a complete front end control arm replacement by another shop who recommended I get an alignment done by Byron. If I had known him earlier I would have had him do the work on the control arms to begin with. This time I had more issues due to a curb incident and just took it to Byron to replace the affected control arms and do the alignment. Other shops I have been to, have not been able to provide the level of service or workmanship. Byron gets it right the first time. Provides recommendations based on car usage and load. Has equipment for road force balance (much better than your average tire shop) and checks wheels for being out of balance or damaged as well. No other shop provides his level of service and knowledge. Yes he is a little more expensive than a Midas or Good Year shop, but my experiences with those shops, is that I save more in time, and have piece of mind getting it done right the first time. On my recent visit, I ran into some ABS brake light issues and he took a look at it cleaned my ABS sensors, and cleared the code all on his own time. I would not hesitate to recommend or take any of my vehicles to Byron. read more

I don't know why there are people complaining about high prices. When it comes to something as valuable as your car why would you want to cheap out for inferior service. I needed a coil-over kit and some wheels requiring tire stretching installed. I also needed a brake lines changed as well as an alignment to top it all off. I got quite a few quotes for the work and Tru-Line was right on par with some of the other shops. I chose this place based on convenience and the great reviews. Recently I've had some really bad experiences with repair shops and body shops, so I walked into this feeling very nervous about the type of work I was going to get. But from beginning to end, Pete worked with me to figure out what I was looking for and the whole experience was Awesome! The job took two days and Pete kept in touch with me throughout it to let me know how things were going. He worked with my commuting situation (only have one car, the one being worked on) and helped me understand each part of the process. Best of all I got my car back on time as promised and was charged exactly what I was quoted with no surprises! My cars driving great and I'm very happy with the service!!! read more

I was having problems with a vibration in the front end of my Shelby Mustang and suspected it was due to a poor balance on the tires and/or a wheel problem. I called Tru-line about getting a proper balance and they said they have the latest equipment to force balance the wheels and to bring them on over. This required a trip over Snoqualmie Pass since I live on the other side of the mountains. I have to say, after using the re-balanced wheels that it was well worth the trip. Vibrations are gone! They explained the whole process, what had been wrong and even gave me the print outs from the machine. We ended up having to move one tire to a new wheel in order to get the balance optimal since the wheel was out of spec. Byron and Pete provide outstanding service at a fair price. If you want things done right, they are the guys you want to use. I can't recommend Tru-Line enough and will be using them again in the future. Thanks again for the great service! read more

Made a few calls about getting the suspension on my Porsche Cayman adjusted for height using Bilstein PSS9s and getting an alignment. Heard a lot of, "Oh, we'll take it to TRU-LINE" even from other companies. So... I figured I'd just go to the source. I was very glad I did. They really know their stuff. Right away they seemed to know all about how to adjust the suspension and gave me some advice on setting the firmness of the shocks. On top of that, the cost of the height setting was covered by corner balancing. So... how did it turn out? I was very impressed! Service was first rate, they called me right away in the morning to get information on the corner balance and the report on my balancing and alignment was much appreciated. The car is at the height I had wanted and the shocks are set perfectly - based on their advice. I would highly recommend their work and their prices were lower than quotes I got from other shops. read more

I am relatively new to the Seattle/Bellevue area and was in need of tire rotation and alignment. I went to 2 other shops in the area before and was not happy with their lack of customer service and professionalism. I then looked on Yelp and found Tru-line based on their excellent reviews and I am so glad I decided to go there! Pete assisted me with my service needs and he could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable and honest. He took the time to explain to me what services I needed and did not need. I thought my car was going to need tire rotation and after assessing my car and doing a computer generated alignment analysis, Pete's suggestion was that my car only needed tire alignment. Unlike many other car repair shops that tend to oversell products and services, Pete never tried to push any unnecessary services on me. After purchasing some after-market wheels for my Audi RS6, I immediately began chasing a subtle and variable vibration problem with the car. After trying to have the wheels and tires balanced on several occasions elsewhere, and then swapping for new tires, the last straw for me was when one shop said nothing abnormal was occurring, and another shop said I needed almost $8000 in front end and suspension repairs. That was when I had the good fortune to come across Tru-Line. The strobe-balancing system has the car running smoothly now, the alignment has it tracking true and handling perfectly. And as a bonus they performed a brake service with Audi OEM parts at a significant cost savings over the Audi dealer. Byron listened to my concerns, correctly diagnosed the problem, and had my vehicle back to me on time and on budget. My only complaint is that I didn't see him sooner in the process. read more

I recently had new tires installed on my Porsche Cayenne S and noticed that it was pulling to the right. The shop that did the aligment, or claimed to have done that, did not make any difference in the ride and it was still pulling to the right. I searched for a shop I can trust and where actual work will be done when paid for. I found Tru-Line and after reading reviews decided to make an appointment. The appointment was two weeks out, but I decided to wait. Tru-Line did an excellent job on my Porsche and the results for before and after are amazing, not only on paper, but in driving. Definitely my first choice for all future alignment needs and anything related to wheels/steering/tires. At the end, there was that gift on my center console with a thank you letter for stopping by. Extremely satisfied with the work I had done at Tru-Line. I have a 1980 Mazda RX-7 project car that I'm starting to fix up. This means it comes with many problems. When I asked for the rear wheel bearings to be replaced, Byron didn't hesitate to work on it. During disassembly, he found a blown brake cylinder. He contacted me immediately, with pictures, to confirm how I wanted to proceed. Byron worked through the brake master cylinder not responding in the rear, bringing in a high pressure bleeder to save me having to replace the master cylinder. I didn't notice until I was on my way home, but he had tightened up the steering on the house. In the end my car came out far better than before and I've found the shop I'll be coming back to. There's not many shops that will work on older cars, but Tru-Line is one I would happily recommend. read more

I was recommended to Tru-Line by a friend. I needed new wheels put on my existing tires, and also reluctantly requested an alignment. I was initially skeptical about getting an alignment done on the car, which is a brand new Ford Mustang and only had ~2000 miles on the factory furnished tires. Not only did Tru-Line do a great job on mounting and balancing the new wheels (they even put wheel paint matching balancing weights on), but I was so amazed at how great the alignment was. The car now tracks sooo much better at freeway speeds. I would have never thought a car so new from the factory could use so much improvement in the way it is aligned. Wow, so refreshing to have an expert work on your car. We had bad shudder/wobble in the front end + pulsing brakes on our Mercedes 240. Dealership's answer was basically, "let's replace stuff until it goes away." Byron did a proper diagnosis, suggested alternatives and actually listened to me about what I wanted. The work was done in a timely way and the coordination with other vendors was smooth. (Had a wheel that needed to be sent to a specialty shop for repair.) After some research on yelp, I brought my Sienna to Tru-Line Belleuve for some alignment issues due to bumping into curbs a couple of times recently. Byron was super professional, very honest and patient with me when I was initially a bit confused with the quote. He took time to explain me every detail on the quote before I decided to have my car fixed. In the end, the price I paid was even lower than the original quote. My car is running very smooth now. I asked some fellow PCA members for a recommendation on a place to have tires mounted and an alignment done. Everyone that contributed said go to Tru-Line and I'm glad that I did. I was concerned about driving my 911 on a bad tire so Byron loaned me one. Pete worked on the car, stayed late so that I could have it for the weekend and even came in early so that I could get a ride with my wife before work. I've been a customer of Trueline for over 25 years in Seattle and now recently in Bellevue. Simply put if you want it done right the first time go visit Byron. I do most of my own work and have had Byron align both my daughters 525i and my 328i. Take the time to bring your car back and have them look at it after 5k miles. I like that the cars are set up for our driving styles, performance, and to get the most wear out of our tires. You get what you pay for and after the investment in a good set of tires take the time to set the car upright. Both the cars are now a pleasure to drive!
