I'm definitely coming back to Omni for breaks, wheel alignment, and for any work involving suspension. This shop is even better than I expected, even after everything I've heard about it and the excellent reviews. I just took in my 2006 Honda Pilot to have the suspension inspected. I now have a peace of mind, and a better idea of when I need to come back for break work. Other shops would have charged me for all kinds of unnecessary service. Honda Bellevue has been bugging me for years to replace the break pads, but Omni confirmed that I have plenty of time left, with my worst brake pads at 25-30% of life left in them. I respect the honesty and integrity of the owner and the top notch mechanics at this highly-respected shop. How sad that I have to give less than a 5-star review... My car was brought here as part of a minor collision repair being handled by McLeod. As soon as I picked it up, I could tell that it just felt wrong. It not only behaved oddly, but I had to hold the wheel off-center in order for the car to drive straight. McLeod offered to take it back for me, but I didn't have the time to go to Kirkland on a weekday and wanted to go to a shop I trust (with a 2-week wait). Not only was my alignment out of spec (total toe front and back were both around 8mm), but my steering angle position sensor was off -10.5 degrees. read more

I have used Omni twice in the last two months. The first time was to replace 4 new tires on my 14 BMW X5. Tires were ordered on TireRack and shipped directly to them. Called for an appointment in two days, and I stayed in the lobby while they were working on the tires, it took 45 minutes from I stepped in the door to when I got back in my car and drove off. The 2nd time was to have them replace the aftermarket wheels I bought for my 19 Tesla Model X. Being a Tesla owner, it is a concern that many auto shops don't know how to jack up the car. I called ahead and verified that they worked on Teslas before and know about using a "puck" when jacking up. I went in with the new wheels, brought my own pucks, and a couple of pages from the owner's manual. Craig was doing exactly the right way on jacking up a Tesla. I hung around the car while Craig was working on getting wheels off, dismount tires, put them back on the new wheels, etc... It took less than two hours to get all four wheels swapped and rest assured they got it done right. read more

I've also had my wife take her Scion TC as well in for same, and each experience has been great. Outstanding, Accurate, Knowledgeable, Wise and Honest. I first met Patrick and his father Pete in the late nineteen seventies. I remember first seeing Patrick delicately manually put a ultrahigh performance/low profile tire on a sexy soft alloy wheel using a specially shaped wooden ax handle. This is an act of caring and love! I've written about cars and studied automobiles for 40 years I am a tire, wheel, alignment, brake nut. Now Patrick alone runs the shop with 2 coworkers that have been with him over 20 years. Sounds like family. They have one more fellow, the rookie who is soon to hit the 10 year mark. I arrived for my appointment at 1 PM and was taken in right away like most everybody else is which is great planning. Their prices are fantastic! Outstandingly low if you're driving a Porsche, Maserati, Corvette, Ferrari, BMW, Bentley or even a Mercedes. Have you lowered your car? Does your car have a low clearance because of an air dam or spoiler upfront Omni has you covered. The shop is so perfectly designed with an old-fashioned pit the mechanic can work in, so the tire, wheel and axle's are all at eyeball height. No dancing girls no flashy expenses just a great American family operated independent specialty business whom are experts. Ordering from Amazon or Tire Rack, have Omni do the job. I am very satisfied with my experience with Omni Brake & Alignment. My hat is off to them for embracing the business model of allowing me to order my tires from tirerack.com and do the install. I like to use local businesses and would have even paid a little extra if they could get a reasonable price on the specific tires I wanted for my M5. I did a lot of research and had a couple of makes/models of tires in mind. Pat took some time to investigate prices through his supplier and in the end just recommended I order them from TireRack (they were offering an $80 rebate on Hankook tires). I place the order and had them delivered to Omni. Omni charges a little extra for installing TireRack.com tires which is common and totally reasonable. I also had alignment done at the time and was happy with the job they did. Lastly, I talked with Pat about new breaks and he also suggested that I research and purchase the parts myself and they would do the install. His price on OEM BMW brakes is pretty high and I can find much better prices online. This model just makes good sense to me (at least for performance cars or owners who are somewhat involved and picky). They don't have to manage the ordering and stocking a lot of unique parts and I can spend the time to research and buy exactly what I want. read more

This place is as great as others have said, to the point where I'm not sure my 5 star review will make any appreciable difference to their current 5 star rating! My story: I called Ford of Kirkland who told me that they couldn't work on my truck as it's too old and they can't get the OEM parts. They recommended Omni so I arranged for an appointment for an inspection. At the inspection, and without me requesting, Patrick took me out underneath the truck and showed me what he had found. I could see the ball joints were done. The tie rods were flexing and mashing around - it didn't look good. Patrick gave me a quote similar to what I got from the original general mechanic I took it to, but the differences were: -He told me he uses Moog parts which are supposed to be good. My research online indicated the parts are generally well respected and they certainly cost more than the really cheap parts my original garage was quoting against. -He suggested we just machine the rotors. -Greasing the bearings. -A reasonable parts markup (about 25-30% from retail, as far as I could tell). -He said I didn't have to change the tires right now if I didn't want to and that the alignment would be good even if I get new tires later. He offered to just rotate them front to back. He did the work for me and the truck drives so much better! It's still a truck but it's so much less loose than it was before, and it doesn't have this really weird behavior when I turn right. And it drives straight when I brake, which is a nice feature! The truck still rattles around but it *feels* softer when I hit bumps so I think it's just the interior that's noisy now. It just drives better, and I'm really happy about that! I'm also glad that I can have confidence in the steering now that things look much more solid under there. Thanks Omni! read more

I have owned, maintained and collected Mercedes Benz cars for 45+ years, but at age 78 it's time to let someone else do the hard work. So we dropped the car off the night before at Omni to have brakes and an alignment. Patrick called the next morning to verify my wishes and then called in an hour with a quote. A few minutes on the phone with Patrick made it clear that they know these cars and don't play games. The quote for the work was very fair considering they used nothing but MB or very high quality after market parts. The complete job including pads, rotors,sensors, fluid flush, both outer tie rods and a spot on alignment was ready by 4PM! I didn't asked for the fast service, they just do it. The final price was about half of what I'd pay at any local dealer and under most specialized shops by 20%. I am very impressed with Patrick and his crew. You will be too. read more

Omni is conveniently located in Totem Lake next to auto dealership in a building with other mechanic businesses. The most outstanding part of my experience was how much better my pickup handled (turning corners used to feel like it was in 4x4 low) after the Omni crew aligned my pickup and installed the new tires. I've used Omni Brake and Alignment twice now, once about 2 years ago for an alignment on my Hyundai, and more recently for the front brakes on my RAV 4. Both times they did excellent, careful work and they charge really fair prices. They don't have a big fancy shop; it's a modest garage with a small waiting area. But they clearly care about what they do, and know what they're doing. When they did the alignment on my car, they test drove it 3 different times and kept adjusting it until they got it just right. More recently when they did my brakes, they replaced the pads on my front brakes, machined the rotors and had it done in just a few hours. Cost $235 plus tax. Not only was everything fine, but they didn't even charge me for looking at them! I've been using Omni for all my tire and brake needs for many years. Pat is a good guy and has never once tried to up sell or over charge me or anyone I've sent his way. And the work has been flawless and on-time. He has mechanics that have worked for him for over a decade. It's the way shops used to be run before they got greedy and the franchises and chains mostly took over. It's not the cheapest place you'll find but you won't get ripped off and the prices are still fair especially as what you're quoted is what you pay unlike a lot of shops these days. My wife's Corolla had a horrific sound from the back brakes. These gents machined the rotors and sanded down the drum brakes for $40 and a noise that has plagued us for a year is now gone.
