Overall, I received a fast response but poor value, and that is why I gave it a two-star rating. Details are described below: I found LBR Auto Repair on Yelp, because my 72-year old father's 2010 Subaru Impreza engine light and vehicle dynamic light came on. While the shop was able to take the car in quickly at 8am the next day, I was charged $212 total with taxes/fees just for scanning the error codes, flip the gasket in the gas tank cap (didn't even install a new one), and clear the error codes. The error codes showed the problem was a leaky gas tank cap, and I had to spend another $36 to get a new one at a dealership to replace myself. I understand there is a standard fee auto shop charges to just scan the codes, but I had been to other shops in other areas that would just waive this fee or give a discount because it's just a bad gas tank cap after so they can win your business for the long run. I guess they don't really care about that, so I am definitely NOT coming back to this place. read more

On 2/26/24, I took my 2015 Porsche Macan to LBR Auto Repair for an oil change based on their seemingly positive reviews. Unfortunately, I came to find out this place completely rips people off and will try to take advantage of you, especially if you're a woman. They offered a free inspection for first-timers, which I accepted. They claimed I needed over $8,000 in repairs for a non-existent "oil leak." Over the phone Harry described the issue as moderate, then escalated it to severe in the written quote. Immediately I got the sense that they were trying to scam me from this "complimentary inspection." I had my husband take my car to another shop for a full inspection which revealed there was no oil leak and no need for any repairs. This deceitful attempt to exploit me as a female customer was appalling. LBR Auto Repair, and their employee Harry George, is slimy and unprofessional. My advice? Avoid them. Brought my car into LBR auto after an awful experience at the dealership where they claimed that I needed my water pump replaced to resolve a noise that was coming from under the hood. Harry George helped me by getting me checked in the day after and having the team diagnose my car which actually needed the AC compressor replaced instead as well as new spark plugs which haven't been replaced since I bought the vehicle and I wrongly assumed the dealership would alert me to during my major service appointments. LBR was able to service my car and make all the requested repairs in under 24 hours and the service provided by Harry was exceptional. Needed a routine checkup in Bellevue area for my Mazda3. This place only a 10 min walk from my house :) when they called me back they had nicely cleaned my car as well :) Great prices and the best show of their amazing service is they missed a broken light on my passenger side back parking light. When I brought the car back They fixed it complimentary since they missed it in the first appointment! There is also a free shuttle to wherever you want to go in Bellevue and the driver is so nice! Had a five star experience at LBR. My Ford was not accelerating correctly and acting very strange. It did not feel safe to drive. I emailed LBR explaining my issue. They got in touch with me the following day and even found a time that day to bring in my car. I was able to leave it there and the next day they determined what it needed. They provided an estimate and offered to keep it and complete the job the following business day. I was looking for someone to do a CAT replacement for my Honda CRV, and the dealership quoted me $1700 cause they were using factory parts, and they were just that expensive. I decided to look around to see where I could pay less than an arm and a leg for someone to do a good job. I was kindly greeted by Harry upon walking in. I felt like that Harry was the one of the most genuine person that I have meet in the car industry. While we were waiting, we started talking about if I should fix my car up and sell it or just sell it as is. He told me to just sell it as is, because it might cost more in the end to fix it up. Eleven years of great service -- I just have to thank LBR again. In a world where many folks doing car repair are dishonest and take advantage of the fact that we don't really understand how our cars work, the guys at LBR explain things in plain English and don't repair what is not broken. Also, they DO repair the things that are causing the problem, and will return the old parts to you as proof if you'd like. Another shop -- I'll go review them next -- tried to tell us the Volvo wasn't firing on all cylinders and had damaged the catalytic converter, a very expensive repair that would be hard to validate. They screwed around with the car for 12 days and fixed nothing. LBR did the diagnostics in one morning, and I know I can believe them when they say the car just needs a new ignition coil and an oil change, and that it will be ready to go in two days. read more
