I am a professional artist preparing work for an upcoming exhibition on a tight deadline. Mitre & Bevel had repeatedly cut rabbet openings too small for my stretched canvases--three separate times--blamed the artwork instead of their poor workmanship, and refused to properly stand behind their work. I was left with only a few days to find a solution before my exhibition delivery deadline. I brought my painting and some older frame pieces to Art Works Gallery & Picture Framing Center and explained the situation and the urgency. The difference was immediate. The owner treated me professionally, respectfully, and knowledgeably. She understood the issue instantly, measured the canvas properly, allowed correct clearance in the rabbet (as any competent framer should), and even cut down and reworked the existing frame pieces I brought in to create a proper fit.
