Do not use this firm! They committed to do all my windows but left with the job half done, but with a check for the full amount, promising to come back to finish. (They needed to remove storm windows to complete the job and said they would come back with the necessary equipment.) Three successive appointments were broken, each with a different excuse. The owner called me personally and committed to the third date, when they never showed. In retrospect I believe they were simply putting me off until they could cash the check. Do not use these people. Made and missed appointments. After they finally did show up and left we noticed one window had been missed and two screens were upside down. We were told repeatedly they be back to fix these issues and they never showed. We were also assured by the owner if they didn't show up our money would be refunded. That hasn't happened either. Tru Cleaning is a truly unprofessional company! They do not do what they agree to do! I purchased a voucher from LS to have them come and clean my windows. Spoke to the woman twice to make sure that they would be coming on a specific date between 10-12. I called in April and the first appointment they could give me was 7/31, I said fine. Bought a Groupon- it was a very good deal. Too good, apparently, because they did not show up even after confirming the day before. When I finally got someone on the phone that day he told me I was on the schedule for the afternoon. I told him I had gotten a confirmation call for morning and he said he would check with the office and hung up. Called back to say I was on for 1-3 and they would be there close to 3. When I told him to wait for me as I had to bring my son to the dentist at two and would be back by 3, he told me to return my Groupon and hung up on me. Not happy. Purchased Groupon for Tru Window Cleaning OVER A YEAR AGO and still have DIRTY WINDOWS!!! APRIL 2015 - purchased through Groupon. APRIL - OCTOBER numerous unanswered phone calls and emails with an occasional email saying they would be in touch. OCTOBER - asked Groupon for a refund. Refused due to time passed, said they would try to contact merchant. Said I needed to deal directly with merchant for a refund. NOVEMEBER - Tru Window called! They said I needed to email pics of my windows. Pics sent, heard nothing. A few weeks later, claimed pics weren't received, resent, heard nothing. DECEMBER - their phone msg said they are "closed for the winter". I left a msg saying to call me in the spring. MARCH 2016 - They called to sent up appt for end of month! MARCH (late in month) - They need to reschedule, they won't be in my area that day. Rescheduled to April 18. APRIL 18 - They called to say the appt is cancelled because they don't work on Patriot's Day!!! She says they can reschedule to June. I explain that won't work as I am selling my house. I ask for HALF my money back to end this game. She says she'll call me back. She calls me back and says the owner won't refund any money BUT they will be there the following day. APRIL 19 - 8:09 a.m. - She calls and says the appt is cancelled due to the rain. I explain that it rained during the night but it was clear and dry now and the forecast called for no more rain. No, sorry, cancelled. I again ask for HALF my money, again, no, sorry. I say I am putting in a bad review and she asks me please not to do that as it doesn't solve the problem. YES, that is correct! The problem could have AND should have been solved by either giving me HALF MY MONEY back as I generously suggested OR CLEANING MY WINDOWS!!! VERY POOR company. Pretty much a BAIT and SWITCH. I made an appointment and discussed my windows with the appointment person. Their Living Social ad said extra for bay windows, French doors, multi-panes and skylights. I have none of these. I do have grids and I said I would remove them and the screens. There was just plain glass. The workers arrived, one came to the door and the other started counting windows. The next thing they said is there would be "extra charges" for my windows. I said I could not understand this and would they please call their office. They said yes but instead they left. I called the office but got voice mail. I called the workers cell phone and he said someone was going to call me... NO CALL yet. The scheduler called but she could not do anything except say I could reschedule. This did me no good because I have grids and screens all over. LS gave me a credit but until I find something I want from them I am out my money. read more

I would NEVER recommend this window cleaning company. I took the chance 2x (should've known the first time) in ordering a Living Social deal and both times they no-showed. The ironic thing is that the woman (owner?) is nice and I spoke with her multiple times this past attempt, explaining my reservations and confirming over and over again that they would in fact show up on scheduled date to clean our windows. The crew was rude and unprofessional, did not finish the job (they promised to return) and what they did complete was very poorly done (windows were still sticky, streaked and spotted, and dirty in the corners - drawing a finger across the window would result in a dirty finger). When I called (four times) to reschedule they ignored me until I said I would ask for a refund. Then I got a call back TELLING me when they would come back, to do only 1/4 of the windows remaining to be done. They had excuse after excuse (even saying that we did not remove the screens, which we did, and that my telling them not to clean the sills and tracks - at an additional cost - was the reason for the spots and sticky residue), and were very argumentative and rude. Do NOT recommend. Bought the LS voucher and scheduled a time for them to come out (week days only, so took time off from work). They did not show up. I called them and left voicemail half an hour after they didn't show, again the next day, and again 2 days later. It took them 4 days to get back to me. I rescheduled, and when they showed up (they were at least polite, I'll grant them that), they looked at the windows and told me that because of the screens, storms, and divided panes, it would be an additional $280. These were all things I had asked the owner about during our initial conversation, and she told me there was no additional charge. I sent them packing. read more

I purchased a livingsocial voucher in February to have 35 windows cleaned. The only exclusion on my fine print was for storm windows. Additional fees apply for bay windows, multi-grid, multi-pane and skylight windows. I have 2 bay windows, 2 skylights, and the rest are normal windows. I took the day off, as this was the only day they could do it, even though I called in April. They showed up and pulled the "bait and switch" routine. They had a different voucher through living social, and that fine print included practically every window. Of course they were willing to charge me more, even though my fine print says my windows are included. Give me a break! They show up with different fine print than the one I purchased??? I asked to speak with the owner while he was on the phone with her and he told me to call the number on the living social coupon. I called it when they were 45 minutes late and only got an answering machine. I will be complaining to the BBB. I also should be reimbursed for taking a day off. read more

When the crew arrived they started counting windows and telling me it was extra for casement windows - they came up with 9 - extra for bay windows - they counted 4 and then they added another $15 and just mumbled about what that was for. By the time the additional charges were all added up the other 3 people had already spread out and started, so I said ok. I have tried for 2 days to call and get an explanation for the additional charges - no return calls. My windows - about 1/3 just weren't touched - look awful. DO NOT HIRE THEM!! This company is a scam. I bought a Groupon for $69.00 to have 25 windows cleaned, inside and out. The windows aren't clean and I had to pay extra to have the screens put back, which I refused to do. They cleaned the outside of the window from the inside. No ladders were used during the cleaning. Dwayne was argumentative and confrontational. Poor Customer Service. Poor Quality of Work. Never hire this company! I bought the 25 window package from Tru Window Cleaning that was offered on Groupon. They came to my house to to wash 19 Qualifying windows, inside and out. I had 6 non- qualifying windows that they agreed to wash only the inside. I had to leave, they said they would be done in about a half hour. When I came back, all the windows were streaked. Yes, my windows are old but dirty streaks, come on. I called Tru Window back, talked to Liza, she asked me to take photos and send to her so I did, she agreed to send the guys back out to rewash my windows. The 3 men arrived and told me my windows were old and that they couldn't see the streaking. I even pointed out rubbing my finger through the window grime/streaks showing them that they weren't clean. After arguing with me, they called their supervisor, said she would credit me my Groupon and left. I locked my doors because I was truly afraid of them. they were so hostile. I never experienced such rude, unprofessional customer service in my life. I called Liza at Tru Window Cleaning to talk with her about crediting my Groupon, the scary customer service and even sent her photos of 2 windows side by side, one they cleaned while there at my house, showing me they won't come clean and one that I cleaned after they left. truly a difference.
