The noodles are thick (why? lol there's absolutely no reason for this), the eggroll is somehow sloppy and overcooked and oily, and the tofu is like that pre-fried tofu you can get at Hmart that has the texture (and taste) of a wet sponge. The spring rolls are hilarious, too. Like 90% just shredded iceberg lettuce?? I've never seen anything like it. (The only thing worse I've seen was mapo tofu that had canned peas and carrots in it...It looked like something out of a chef boyardee can.) Jasmine tea ordered at 0% sugar is still somehow sweet?? I'd get it if the tea had a fruit syrup added to it, but plain jasmine tea shouldn't have sugar already added. Maybe the boba added a lot of sugar? I've had tea with boba from other places that wasn't this sweet, though. I genuinely am not a picky eater. This food is not good, though. I was lucky enough to be able to get their bubble waffles (i saw in reviews that sometimes their out) they were soft and delicious, I don't get any toppings except powdered sugar yet it was STILL DELICIOUS and I wanted to buy more. This is my second time here and both times I have been here during lunch. It wasn't busy during lunch time so we were able to take our time and browse their menu then order at the counter. I ordered the grilled pork with rice and it comes with an imperial roll. For an additional charge you can add an egg to your dish. The food came out pretty fast. What more can I ask for during lunch break? The imperial roll was nice, thick, and well fried. They were not skimpy with the meat. The grilled pork was pretty tasty too. It also comes with a side of fish sauce and chili paste (Sambal Oelek). My friend ordered Banh Mi and a waffle. Boy they were not stingy with meat this time unlike our first visit. Phew! Lol. This is not a fine China and silverware place. It is a place for quick bite where you order at the counter, they will bring your food to the table with disposable tableware. This place is nice and sparkly clean! Perfect for a chill date with friends or place to study. I tried the royal milk tea which was really good, just the right amount of sweetness. Some of my friends got 50% sweetness and they said that it was not sweet at all and they should have just gotten the regular sweetness so I don't think this place overdoes the sweetness (which I enjoy). The boba balls at this place are different from other places I've had, they feel much more crisp and clean unlike some places where the boba ball soak in the syrup and taste sweet. This is a personal preference of course, but I kinda like it when boba balls are soaked in that sweet syrup. Anyways I also tried the honey green tea for a fruity refreshment and it was also good!
