    Taro Milk Tea
    Jessica E.

Went back and got vermicelli noodles with pork. Veggies were fresh. They gave fish oil, chopped peanuts, and some chili on the side. So delicious. Worth trying.

Ordered my usual from here yesterday, the honeydew smoothie- 75% sweet. I wish they were closer to home as the boba here is far superior to the other boba that I've had around town. It comes warm but quickly cools off- it's has the perfect flavor and texture - very bouncy and smooth all the way through. The smoothie was perfect, could have probably gotten 50% sweet but I still enjoyed the smoothie and the boba. I ordered ahead and it was ready when I got there , staff was quick and kid for the short interaction we had. Establishment was clean as always.

I am a regular at this place. We love their rice plates, vermicelli bowls, banh mi, and all their boba choices. I usually order via DoorDash or Uber Eats. But if I ordered in-store more often, I probably would have gotten so many free boba drinks with their stamp rewards card and they'd probably know me by name. Ordering is super convenient and reasonably priced. The staff are always great and friendly.

Grilled Pork Rice w/ added Fried Egg

This place is amazing! I've been here numerous times, and always leave happier than I came. Truboba Cafe serves authentic Vietnamese food (Rice, Vermicelli, Banh Mi, Wings, and Snacks) and makes delicious drinks. My usual orders are the Grilled Pork Rice (with an added fried egg), Grilled Pork Banh Mi, and Vietnamese Style Wings (Fish sauce seasoning). The service here is always friendly and attentive. Relaxing atmosphere to eat / socialize / have a date at. Give them a try!

    Bahn Mi "Grilled Pork"

Very disappointed!!! First, the prices went up. Second, I ordered a Banh Mi and spring rolls (supposedly "grilled pork"). The meat was tasteless and not even hot; they stuffed it with veggies and gave me literally only two small slices of pork. The spring roll was pretty nasty--filled with lettuce and very, very few noodles. Total waste of $14.99. I will not be coming back, even though this used to be my favorite spot!

FYI... Truboba no longer accepts cash.... Card only... very disappointed

Love truboba! Food is amazing! Sad that cash is no longer accepted, card only. Ooohh, but cash tips are accepted

    Oolong Milk Tea

This quaint spot is located in between a bar and a CBD spot. So, for those in the mood for a little bit of food, CBD and a stiff drank, this may be your location. I came in today for a light snack and some tea. Here we go... Oolong Milk Tea Oolong tea is my favorite tea! I got hooked on this tea when living in Singapore. Oolong tea has many health benefits as it is high in amino acids, which can improve brain activity, increase sleep quality, and reduce stress and anxiety. My tea was earthy and had a sweet flowery scent. Unlike most folks, I did not elect to go with the Booba option. Shrimp Toast This is a great snack. This baked shrimp toast snack is made with shrimp, celery, onion, garlic, mayonnaise, and shredded cheese on top of thin slices of a French baguette for the ultimate creamy and savory seafood flavor experience. This simple yet elevated snack is sure to please even the most selective tastes. Spring Rolls In Vietnamese, fresh spring rolls made with rice paper are called gỏi cuốn, translating to "salad rolls'' (gỏi is means "salad" and cuốn means "to coil" or "to roll"). Generally, Vietnamese spring rolls are filled with shrimp, pork, vegetables, herbs and rice vermicelli. The ones made at this establishment are no different. These were simple and fresh. Overall, the customer service here was great and efficient and the food came out quickly. This spot is worth a try if you are looking for quick eats.

    Popcorn Fried Chicken

This place is a hit or miss at time. I went here with a friend to catch up with them. My friend got an avocado milk smoothie with boba. Sadly I think since the boba was hot, it ruined her smoothie. Green Milk tea was overall decent. I would recommend that from here. I got it crystal boba as well in my drink and they were a bit smaller than the normal crystal boba from other places. The popcorn chicken was okay. More skin or crumbs than meat. The sauce that it comes with is a sweet chili sauce. Service was good, they were patience and let us read through the menu. They give you a buzzer and they bring the food out to your table when they see your buzzer. The boba/restaurant is a small with a few small and large tables.

I stopped here thinking I was gonna receive the same drink that I normally ordered. I stand corrected. My go to is Taro Milk Tea with Boba Pearls and Lychee popping boba (or jelly). Majority of boba places will do Taro Milk Tea with green tea rather than milk, which results in a drink that's less sweet. I feel like once you try the milk version, you don't go back to green tea (at least in my experience) So I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted the drink and it was made with milk! I definitely give it a 10 out of 10! The place is super cute as well, with a green wall that could be perfect for some selfies with friends! It was also very quiet when I got there on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered at the counter and then they gave me a buzzer and my order was ready a little after that. And they asked me if I wanted to start a punch card as well.

I've been a fan of Feng Cha for a while (discovered them in Houston) so I'm familiar with a few of their offerings. They have a diverse menu, with several caffeine-free options (including the option to sub sparkling water for tea in some of their fruity drinks). They also have a variety of foams (foam fan here) like taro and matcha. Their drinks *usually* hit the spot. On my most recent visit, I tried the Bursting Dragon Fruit (with sparkling water instead of tea). Even though I ordered it with 25% sugar, it was still really sweet. Didn't feel like the subtle sweetness that I expected. Can't even imagine what 100% is like. So, don't forget to scale back on the sugar.

I got the oolong classic milk tea with boba, half sweet, and less ice, and it was delicious. I also really appreciate the price at $5.85 for a decent size with tapioca. Boba is getting so ridiculously expensive these days. I have regrettably spent more elsewhere for a smaller drink and without any toppings. I like sweet drinks, and the 50% sweet was perfect for me. I don't like when boba is too sweet, especially sickly sweet, but I find it even worse if it's very bitter. I was grateful that they let me sample the tea, even though it was only the no sweetness added version, just so I could gauge how much I wanted to add. The baristas were super friendly. You could definitely sit here and study/work.

Teapioca is a chain so when I spotted one in this shopping center late last night I went in to check it out. The customer service was unbelievably awful. I walked up to the cash register where the only menu was and looked through briefly to make sure nothing changed since my last visit. After only being there a few seconds the cashier rudely said "are you going to order ma'am?". Since when is that ever in a script to say to customers? I was so taken aback I wanted to leave but I quickly ordered and still tipped well, after which her attitude suddenly became friendlier. I went back to look at the menu again and she asked "would you like to order anything else?" I said "no, I want to finish looking at the menu since I was rushed". The drink wasn't even good. Lychee jelly tasted sour and bad. It is highly unlikely I will give this establishment any more of my business and I recommend that others go elsewhere.

This drink is quite refreshing and not as heavy as the traditional boba drinks. I also purchased two traditional black milk teas as this is what Thing Two likes. Black milk tea is the most classic boba tea flavor, making it one of the best flavors to me anyway aside from Thai milk tea. It's a delightful combination of black tea and sweetened milk blended to create a smooth and velvety drink. Most black milk teas are made with Assam black tea, known for its robust, full-bodied taste, to stand up to the milk without becoming diluted. The simplicity of this drink makes it easy to customize, and it pairs well with virtually any topping or add-in. Thing Two enjoyed her boba drinks as well half of one of my drinks (ughs).
