Soursoup tea with boba and matcha milk tea. Yum

This was our first drink arriving to Austin and our last drink before having to head home to California. We helped friends move to the area and they had a concern about not having a good boba place. Our minds were put at ease when we enjoyed some great drinks here. Definitely loved my matcha milk tea. Popcorn chicken was tasty as well

There's a cute little boba shop near Torchy Taco in the big H-E-B plaza. It's got a bright and cheerful vibe with some long tables in the middle and one on the side, and then some smaller tables and a long bench with circle tables. They have a little photo section where you can snap some pics for your social media. The staff suggested some sugar changes based on how sweet you like your drinks, and they were spot on. I went with the sugarcane juice, and it was just how I like it - just like what I usually get in Houston. Overall, it wasn't bad, and I'd definitely come back again!

Best boba on this side of the tracks. Their fish balls has roe-like inside. I don't love or hate it. It's just different. Love that they have more snacks to offer than other boba spots. For drinks we got their Coco Mango and Strawberry Green Tea with aloe vera boba. Got their bubble waffle and ube dip. The dip is not as thick and yummy as others. The waffle batter is also almost tasteless.

This is a great milk tea addition to the Leander area. The drinks and food are good. Service is quick and friendly. They have self-order kiosks. The store has many tables and is well organized. It's a great spot for studying and hanging out.

I was very excited about Milk+Tea opening up here! They didn't disappoint. We've already been here three time since they opened. We've tried many different drinks and toppings and everything has been so good so far. They also offer a bigger size drink, a bucket, for an extra $4. So worth it if you're a big Boba lover like me. They also offer snacks items. We ordered the bubble waffles with ube dipping sauce and Cajun Fries. They were both so good. The fries were cooked and seasoned well. It was spicy since that's what we requested. The waffles were crunchy and yummy with the dipping sauce. I couldn't get great photos when I took them but the inside is very nice and pretty. It's very social media friendly for those who love to take selfie with a pretty background. They even have board games you can borrow while you're there!

I can't even tell you the amount of times I have been here since the soft opening, it's been that many. My new go to for a good strong coffee with a little bit of sweetness. Obsessed with the coconut iced coffee and the bubble waffles are so delicious. This place is so so cute and everyone is extremely friendly!!

I came to their Grand opening (The line was insane, waited about 1.5 hours) but it was so worth it. To say it was totally awesome is an understatement. They really went all out and I couldn't have been more impressed. They had a raffle, sales on select drinks, and the coolest part; a dragon dance! Also, they had board games and a cute area for photo ops. Even with the large crowd and all the noise, the staff seemed to have everything under control. Everyone was calm, cool and collected. They got my order right and the drinks were made to perfection.

Cute inside! Had the crème brûlée boba latte! 30% sweet - it was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more along with their snacks!

The server was adamant about us tasting the flavors before we made our selection! We got the strawberry chunk, mango sorbet, salty little secret, vanilla & pistachio. The pistachio tasted so fresh and creamy, and the salty little secret was something I'd get a pint of and eat the whole thing at home! I loved every bite, I will say it was a little expensive but this definitely a well worth it splurge.

Since we were new, we let the other people go first. The line moved very slow in total. It took about 15 minutes before it was our turn to sample their flavors. For me personally, I was a bit bummed to see all these delicious flavors that were available, but I wasn't able to sample many of them because I have a dairy allergy. So that being said, they only had one flavor that I could try at the time I did appreciate that they had a laminated sheet of paper that listed all of the allergens and all of their flavors, so anyone that had an allergy could quickly see which flavors they could try and which ones they should avoid. During my visit, I ordered their mint basil sorbet which was very good. At five dollars per scoop, it's definitely on the pricier side. However, the ambience inside this ice cream shop was nice and I could see myself hanging out here socially if they had more dairy free options. But overall, I had an okay experience here. The workers were very friendly and knowledgeable. They are located in a small plaza with ample parking. It was also easy to get in and out of the parking lot, which I think is a big plus.

I definitely felt a little claustrophobic when I entered. Note that the photos I took are on 0.5x, so in real life, the space looks a lot smaller. I got myself the Malaysian coffee drink which comes with coffee jelly and boba and absolutely enjoyed my drink. I would suggest going lower than usual on your sugar level. I asked for 30% sweet and it was still too sweet for me. They also have a Vietnamese coffee drink option. I don't think I've ever seen a Malaysian coffee drink ever offered in any other boba place, so this place stood out for me. When I came in on a weekday, it was dead quiet. It will be great if the store played some music to make it a more welcoming place. I can imagine this becoming very popular with the tween and teenage crowds over the weekends. I don't suggest bringing your kids under 5 in here, they are going to want to touch everything, and because of the limited space, I imagine this can be really stressful for parents. Personally, I think this place has way too much stuff for people to want to hang out there. It'll be a lot better if they reduce some of the things they have there so it's easier to look for customers. Way too much going on. Not a fan. It feels like a lot of clutter for no good reason. Service was average.

I got the oolong classic milk tea with boba, half sweet, and less ice, and it was delicious. I also really appreciate the price at $5.85 for a decent size with tapioca. Boba is getting so ridiculously expensive these days. I have regrettably spent more elsewhere for a smaller drink and without any toppings. I like sweet drinks, and the 50% sweet was perfect for me. I don't like when boba is too sweet, especially sickly sweet, but I find it even worse if it's very bitter. I was grateful that they let me sample the tea, even though it was only the no sweetness added version, just so I could gauge how much I wanted to add. The baristas were super friendly. If you want something more refreshing and less heavy I highly recommend the fruity options, imo 25% sweet is stilly plenty sweet without making you run for a cup of water. I appreciate that it doesn't taste like fake corny syrup flavorings and there's actual chunks of fruit. Cool, bright and airy store which is a blast of fresh AC on hot Texas days. I recommend this boba over the one in the outlet mall.

I'm giving it two stars because I do like the drinks here, but otherwise, the place kind of sucks…read more I've had to wait 15-30 minutes for my drink (very simple milk tea) because they have awful time management, and only seem to work on one drink at a time instead of batching. So, if a drink needs to be steeped, they will wait until every drink in front of it has been finished to even start the 5-10 minute steeping process, instead of starting to steep the leaves while they work on blended drinks. Three employees wander around aimlessly while dozens of people wait for a single, simple drink. Most other boba places are able to get drinks out within a minute or two. What is your excuse? There is truly no reason for a single milk tea to take 30 minutes. Fix your training. EDIT: In response to the owner, I do understand that popularity will slow things down, but that wasn't what I was observing. It was a steady trickle of guests coming in every few minutes, and it seems like the crowd was created from congestion of orders stacking up at a higher rate in than they were going out. Orders were only being handed out every several minutes, and while I have also worked in food service/retail and understand having to take breaks and slow down sometimes, the employees seemed like they were just meandering about without a care in the world. I'm truly not sure why, at the very least, steeping wouldn't be started early. I go to a lot of boba places, and I've had many good friends who work (or worked) at boba places, even if I have not directly worked at one myself. The employee behavior was not like anything I've ever seen before.

We made the drive up north to try it before they close since they carry some Vietnamese snacks that are hard to find in Austin. Their menu is extensive covering drinks, desserts, and snacks so it took us a while to decide on our order. All their drinks are lactose free which was great to hear. The staff was nice but it did take a while for everything to come out. Peppermint Pandan Latte / Sam Dua Bac Ha ($6.95) + Crystal Boba ($0.95): We got this at 75% sweet and it was delicious. You can distinctly taste both the peppermint and pandan and it was really refreshing. Matcha Lover ($8.75): We got this at 75% sweet as well. It is a matcha latte with matcha foam, matcha pudding, and matcha mochi. We were not huge fans of this one. The foam was really thick and creamy which made it hard to mix, and the drink had a strange taste that we think came from the flour on the matcha mochi. I think it would have been better if we had eaten the mochi off the top first before mixing everything together. Popcorn Chicken ($8.75): This was okay. They used a different type of batter than what I am used to and it was pretty bland. I didn't like the chili dipping sauce either. Taiwanese popcorn chicken is still way better to me. Mixed Soft Rice Paper With Full Topping / BT Phoi Suong Full Topping ($14): This was our first time having banh trang tron with dried meat and seafood toppings. It also came with a sliced hard boiled egg instead of quail eggs. Very interesting and different. I really wished it came with tamarind sauce because that was the one flavor I felt was missing and would have tied everything together. The portion size also felt a bit small for the price.
