A lovely spot in a strip mall that I'm told has really good Vermicelli. I didn't get the bowl, but husband and I did order some Bahn Mi and they were both great. The veggies tasted fresh and the tofu in mine was so well seasoned. He got his with pork and said that it was cooked perfectly. The fresh jalapeno in them offered the perfect amount of kick too. We were super satisfied after, great Lunch spot for sure. It seems bigger than it is, there is little seating, but I haven't see this place packed yet. They have a self-serve water station next to the cash register. The restrooms are clean as well. The servers were fast and nice. There's a donut shop nearby so we stopped in there after our meals so we could each get a little sweet treat. Go to this strip if you're in the area, you'll have a good time. read more

Met a friend here last week to have lunch before we walked over to nearby salon to get our nails done. It's conveniently located in the same shopping center! We both ordered beef brisket and steak pho and it was so much we took some home. I asked just to add two vegetable items but they added carrots too, which was fine but not what I had ordered. We both enjoyed the food but it did took a while to get it even though there weren't many people there. I hadn't been here in 'way too long. This evening they are putting up their festive Christmas tree (none of this October nonsense for these nice people!) ASA I walked in, the owners offered me a refreshing cup of cold water. Hospitality like this is rare, especially these days. Perfect tofu spring rolls. PERFECT. I tried the Tofu Bowl with rice. SO GOOD. My companion (who never complains but never says anything nice either) remarked THREE TIMES how good her pho was. There's food here for everyone, from committed carnivores to very selective vegans. I summoned all the willpower at my command and did NOT order the chocolate milkshake. I am so sorry to have to do this, but I am BAFFLED by all the happy reviews. Listen to me: this food was really, really bad. The pork dumplings were OLD. If you know the taste of old pork, you understand; there's a gaminess and greasiness that doesn't exist any other time. Bao buns came in bizarrely thick buns, and the pork, chicken, and tofu were all wildly overcooked. The banh mi chicken was so overcooked it was crunchy, and the bread was so dry it fell apart upon being picked up, as if it were days old. The egg rolls were greasy and dry and unflavored. Even the Thai tea was lacking in flavor. I don't know how they managed that, but they did. I am SO disappointed. We were deeply hoping for a good Vietnamese place near us, and this has left us just disgusted all around. read more

Review is for take-out via GrubHub. Nut allergy friendly for the dishes I ordered. We ordered the bun bo hue with extra noodle and the pho dac biet (special) with extra noodle. I did not see any bun bo hue extra noodles when we got home unfortunately. The extra pho noodles were clearly in another container, as the main containers have the noodles under the vegetables. Highly suggest heating the broth to near boiling to cook the meat enough if you are driving 10 or more minutes away. Otherwise you risk eating raw beef. Normal for any take out pho. The portions were excellent and the flavors were solid. Nice little containers of Sriracha and hoisin provided. I would like to have some lime included. The pho was solid. The bun bo hue was a little thinner and more oily than others I've had, but also was very tasty. I would recommend for scratching the authentic pho itch! read more

Never noticed this place in the strip mall but saw it on Doordash recently and decided to give it a try since it's on the way home. And it's surprisingly good and well priced! Portion sizes are pretty generous overall. We got a vermicelli with grilled beef and a rice bowl with grilled pork and added an egg roll. The egg roll was fresh and crisp but nothing super special overall. The wrapper did get nice and bubbly crisp though. Fish sauce is not super overpowering on the vermicelli and the vegetables were fresh enough. Meat is plentiful on both dishes and marinated well enough to be flavorful, but I yearn for a bit more char, as that's the hallmark of what I want. Will come back to try the pho and banh mi some time. read more

Shocking myself that I'm giving V Cafe a 4 star rating even though nothing was what I was expecting! I'm going to echo Silas and say "Shockingly good!" in this unassuming parking lot. I got the beef vermicelli bowl with a fried eggroll and Thai tea. I also snatched one of my companions grilled pork bao as well. Almost everything that came out, I wanted to NOT like but ended up liking anyway. The vermicelli was a bit wet (possibly with some oil?) when I got it, for which I like it to be dry and then I wet it with the Nước chấm / fish sauce, but the flavors were good. The beef was not grilled with char marks nor flavored with lemongrass, but the flavors were good. There was not an abundance of textures in the bowl (I did steal the sprouts from my dining companion's pho) but the flavors were good. The eggroll was the puffy fried skin ones which I don't prefer. (But the flavors were... Actually, I'm going to leave that there). The Thai Tea was good. Little you can do there to mess that up. Grilled Pork Buns were sweet and fluffy. Long story short... I really did enjoy the meal and even though things were not the way I expected them, they were delicious. Check out V Cafe and keep an open mind! read more

I've only been twice, first time was balls to the wall amazing, 2nd time the best. But the food is 5 stars, so I'll leave it. We've had the pork bao buns, pork pho, and chicken vermicelli (and a chocolate milkshake that arrived late after we were done eating and wasn't the best, but sh, we wont talk about it). Their pork has a chargrilled flavor I've rarely, if ever, experienced with pho. The bao was the same, and the chicken was so MOIST /not sorry. I never order chicken at restaurants b/c it's always dry. not this stuff. ooo wee. Now, the 2nd time we went we ordered to go, and it took an hour to get our food. There were only 2 people total working the register and cooking. The place was pretty crowded, so I hope they get to expand and hire more people soon. So many people were waiting and annoyed, some left after a while. The chicken wasn't AS good this time around, and I did hear a lot of suspicious microwave noises. That may explain the chicken dryness if they were re-heating it while waiting for the rest of the order. You would think with that kind of negative review it wouldn't be 5 stars, but dang that first visit was so good I have to give them the benefit of the doubt. We will be back. read more

However the takeout I just had for the smallest bah mi and chicken pho was not worth the cost which was $40. $10 for the bah mi and $15 each for the pho. Not sure what all the hubub is about for this place-- 4.4 stars and 93 healthscore, had us optimistic. $40 dollars later we're just kinda..meh.. The bread for the Banh Mi was over-risen, and crumbly - the pickled carrots were off the mark. The "eggrolls" were cheap tiny spring roll style cabbage rolls probably from some freezer section.-- yech. The Veggie Spring Rolls were pretty good (probably the highlight) but the Vermacelli bowl was underwhelming. The dining area is like a new york chinese carryout or not much larger, and didn't appear that clean, after which the health score didn't make us feel much better. Windows were dirty. Restroom far from the 'classy' someone here indicated...Its a pass l..too many options out there to choose this again.. Can't trust this Yelps overall rating here. read more

Beef and pork rice plates are tasty, as are their shrimp spring rolls and pho. When you order online, you have the ability to add more meat, an egg roll, a fried egg (yes!), and avocado for an extra $ amount (which is noted). You also have an option to request anything else, and they note they'll do their best to accommodate. Cost: A3. Shrimp Spring Rolls (2pcs), Rice With Grilled Beef (extra meat, add egg, add avo), Rice With Grilled Pork (extra meat, add egg), and a V's Combo - Phở đặc biệt, ran us about $48 after tax. Service: We've only ever gotten food to go. Ordering is east via their website. Biggest nit: You have the option of delivery (within a certain distance there is no charge), or pickup. When you select pickup, the option it defaults to is ASAP, 30 minutes. More often than not, it's never ready in 30 minutes. On Friday and Saturday, it can take over an hour, as was our experience. One friend got the shrimp pho and another the steak. Meat wasn't flavorful, it was greasy and weird. Tasted pre-packaged, not the rich flavor you'd expect. Not worth $13 at all. I got the pork bahn mi. Bread was not toasted, veggies lacked flavor. The meat had good flavor but was really fatty and again not hot- seemed like it might have been microwaved since it didn't have the chargrill taste/crispness I expect. Very cute, quaint, and unassuming cafe with the BEST shrimp spring rolls you could ask for. Everything is so fresh! I think this location specializes in takeout, but don't let the near empty establishment fool you -- the food is truly good! We were excited to hear about this nice new Vietnamese option close by, especially after our favorite restaurant closed during the pandemic. At first we called to check whether we would qualify for free delivery since V Cafe advertises that if it's within 3 miles of their restaurant. According to GPS, we're 3.2 miles away. I was disappointed to hear that we didn't qualify because other folks in our neighborhood would. As it is, we decided to try their takeout option. We ordered the chicken bao (BB3), combo beef pho (P1), and rice and beef bowl (R1). Chicken baos were decent but kinda small - for the price, I probably wouldn't order again but instead spend a few extra dollars for a full entree. My brother seemed to enjoy his pho and it was a good, large portion size. The rice and beef bowl was good and decently sized, and we liked this one because it seems like only rice bowl that also has basil in it. The beef was well seasoned and very tender. We were disappointed that the only sauce that comes with this is fish sauce, though. I like fish sauce but my mom doesn't, so she ate her half of the bowl plain and dry. So of course, she didn't really enjoy it at all. Not sure if we can request a different sauce in the future. The menu also did not mention what sauce is used so we'll be sure to call and check next time, but we were a little disappointed overall by that. TL; DR - we'd probably order takeout again but we'll have to modify it next time. Food is definitely good and largely portioned, especially the entrees. read more

Ordered V Cafe through their website and picked up at their store. I believe total time was about 20 min from the time we ordered. We got the food within 5 min of arriving. They package the broth on the side and wrap their uncooked meat in plastic wrap to prevent the blood/other raw juices from mixing with the other ingredients. I always prefer spring rolls over egg rolls but something about the cold weather made me crave the hot egg rolls. We got both pork and veggie, each order of two being $2. Great price, and great flavor!! The pho itself was just what I needed on a cold rainy day. The broth was flavorful and soothing. Little to nothing was needed to be added to enhance the flavor. They give you packages of Siracha and Hoison sauce your pho as well as chopsticks. We didn't get any spoons so make sure to ask for some. Would go back!! read more

This place hits home. If you are looking for authentic vietnamese food, this is it. I've tried just about everything here, from their pho, banh mi, bun, and rice! My top fav is the V's Combo Sandwich which is also known as Banh Mi Dac Biet if you're vietnamese. Now it's in the chilly season, my go to their bun bo hue noodle soup.
