I'm back again for a business lunch. I starting to love this casual restaurant. They have some interesting murals. They have patio seating. They dont have table service. But the customer service is very nice. The young lady took our order ip front. They bring the food out to you. She checked on us as well as other checked on us too. The food is great. We got the trio if guacamole, salsa, queso, and chips. They are surprisingly very good especially considering it's not a Mexican restaurant. I also had the steak sandwich with mango slaw. The steak sandwich was delicious. I'm not a slaw person but I decided to try it because it was different. It was okay even though I'm not a slaw person. Went to St. Louis on a quick road trip with my cousin. It took about 4 and 1/2 hours to drive in from Illinois. When we arrived, I was hungry and I was talked to find a spot. I was in the mood for breakfast and decided to pick this spot. You order at the register and they would take the food to your table. I decided on getting the Mushroom Omelette and it was a good choice. Portobello mushroom, carmelized onions, red pepper and feta. I got it with breakfast potatoes. I thought it would come with toast but it didn't so I added toast for $2.75. The food com came out pretty quickly. The omelette was really good but I expected 2 pieces of toast and only got 1. For $2.75, that is pretty pricey (I could have gotten a whole loaf - lol). I enjoyed the atmosphere and the vibe. Food was good. 1st time at UKraft Brunch Cafe, after a nice fall hike at Castlewood State Park. This unit is in a strip mall, but the interior was very inviting. The concept is order at the front, get your number and then pick your table. The cashier was very helpful with us newbies! She suggested we take the paper menus and find a seat where we could peruse the vast menu. We decided on B & L with the UKraft Scrambler and The Italian (warm). This was my first time visiting UKRAFT, I was excited given their expansive menu. I ordered the Baja California wrap and mango slaw. The service was good and quick, the seating area was your typical cafe environment. The food itself is the reason for my rating, the mango slaw was wonderful, I would order it again, though the wrap left much to be desired. The ingredients seemed low quality and it didn't have much flavor to it, I took home half my wrap and added some things to it to give it more flavor, I would not order this wrap again. Such a great menu with many items I'd like to try! Had the roast beef sandwich today. They happily accommodated my request for no onions or horseradish. It was delicious! The counter service was friendly, though I wish she would've asked me if I wanted to upgrade to the Ukraft Bloody Mary! I've been wanting to try UKRAFT for awhile now, but haven't been at the right place at the right time. I finally had the opportunity and decided to place a take out order. I got the mushroom omelette with potatoes. It was super easy to order online and once I arrived, it was easy to park. I walked in and the staff was super friendly and pointed out the pick up wall. OMG. I stopped in for lunch today on a whim and am glad I did! First off, the restaurant has a gorgeous aesthetic, and it is incredibly clean. There is plenty of seating inside with several more tables outside. I prefer eating healthy, whole food ingredient dishes, and there are a ton of great options that fit the bill. Ultimately I chose the Santorini salad with Greek yogurt dressing. It was an enormous portion and absolutely delicious. I love a big salad, and this was the best I've had in a very long time. Been to UKRAFT several times and always pleased with the quality, portions and consistency of the food. I go with the spicy Thai, sub jackfruit for the shrimp and use VO instead of the house dressings (all or nearly all contain honey). Casual atmosphere and they use Toast so you can build rewards. The food was great. I came for the special. A steak chilaquillas bowl. It was very good. The chilaquillas were a little crispy and the red sauce was good. I asked for an egg with the white cooked. They did it perfectly. The yolk was runny still. Exactly how I like it. The steak was season well one of the owners told me it was flank steak cut very thin. The onions were sweet, radishes were good. The ambience was nice, clean, I sat at the bar so I saw the food come out. It all looked great. Fresh pretty good servings. I forgot to take photos I spoke to the one of owners at length. They owned a food truck to start and now have 2 restaurants. They do well! Go try them. They have a lot of options so I asked which one is the most popular and she said the chocolate, peanut butter and banana and I went with that. The smoothie taste was wonderful. It's like mixing a banana with a Reese peanut butter cup. It's also Very filling. The breakfast sandwich was amazing. They use sharp cheddar cheese which I really enjoyed. You have the choice of how you want the eggs cooked and I went with over hard. Very polite and friendly staff. You can sit at the counter or a table. Second time coming in. I want to like this place that's why I came in again however I am always underwhelmed. Today I was just in the mood for an over medium egg, sweet potatoes and avocado slices. I ordered from their sides menu. My egg was cooked well however it was salty, my sweet potatoes were a bit strange I think they had cinnamon on them and something else like oil. Not very tasty.... My son just wanted 3 scrambled eggs and toast so he also ordered from their sides menu. Each side of eggs is just one egg for $2 so we ordered 3 and the side of the toast is 1 piece of toast. I think this is an awesome place for weekend brunch or breakfast/lunch on the go. Very disappointed in my last visit. I love pumpkin pancakes so wanted to try theirs. Do not make the same mistake. It was outrageously expensive & it was really bad. It was a large pancake, but was $10 & didn't come with anything. It was very bland & didn't taste like pumpkin at all. It was heavily covered in cinnamon on top so that was really all you could taste. The texture was kinda dry & not fluffy either. When I told them it wasn't good & asked if I could send it back, the guys looked at me & were reluctant to do anything about it. They finally offered to give me some other food in exchange so I complied but I really should've been offered a refund. As soon as you walk in, you see a wall of different options! Healthy, somewhat unhealthy, keto-friendly, low carb friendly, vegan-friendly, etc. Wow! I got the you pick 2 deal and got the Cajun Shrimp sandwich and Thai shrimp salad. Flavorful and perfectly seasoned. I also got their iced vanilla latte with soy milk! Hit the spot! We get frozen chicken in bags from the grocery store and that is what their food was made of, clearly. The place was sort of like a bread co but felt more like a chain restaurant. It was busy and noisy. Very disappointed that we could see (not sure if it was the owner or managers, they were at the food pass) arguing with each other and clearly frustrated with the way things were going.
