I was desperate to find some relief for my extremely painful lower back/sacroiliac on a Sunday night of a holiday weekend after triggering a recurring injury on Sat morning. I purchased several non refundable ski tickets and could barely sit, stand, walk or bend over without a shot of sharp, intense nerve pain but knew if I could see a chiropractor I could at least get my kids to the slopes and watch them. As it was, I could not tolerate sitting or standing for long. After calling every chiropractor in the bay area, I discovered no one is open on a Sun. It felt like a miracle when I found Dr. Dave on Yelp in Truckee, where we are staying. Not only was he open on Sunday, but he was extremely responsive, works until 8 pm and he works on holidays. We texted, and scheduled a very last min appointment for 7:30 on a Sun night. He even had guests over! I felt so bad intruding, but he was kind and welcoming. My pain decreased right away. I saw him Mon morning as well, before heading to slopes, and let's just say, I got to ski a half day with zero pain! Dr. Dave helps keep me in alignment and well!I have been to many chiropractors over the years because of a condition with my neck from a car accident when I was younger. My discs are hyper mobile and so sometimes I get out of alignment and I can get pinched nerves, pain, limited mobility etc. However, ever since I've been going to Dr. Dave for about three years now I haven't had any bad episodes and I am at my optimal wellness. This was not a good experience. First bad sign was the fact that as soon as I reached out to Dave with my problem, he responded with his price. I did not ask for pricing. I asked for availability and described my issue. Second bad sign when I got there was no mask. He asked if he should wear a mask to which I responded with "yes, please." Not only was he not wearing a mask, but he was surprised that I asked him to wear one. A medical professional without a mask! Lastly, the service he provided was not particularly helpful. Found a few pressure points that may or may not have been related to my issue, and that was it. Did not really provide much feedback on the issue I was having, how to fix it, how long it will likely last, how to prevent it, etc. Pointed me to his website to watch a few videos and asked me to schedule a follow up. Dr. Dave is very accommodating and has a great positive aura. I was in pain after an unsuccessful "head stand" (messing around with an 8 year old). He was like a savior. He saw me the same day, did a great adjustment with professional attitude, great smile and some cool technical instrument that relaxed the muscles right away. Dr. Dave was super responsive. I was up in Tahoe for a medical conference. I don't know if it was the combination of the relaxation of being in Tahoe, but his adjustments lasted a lot longer than my adjustments in San Francisco! He used a machine called 'Rapid Release' that worked on the soft tissue before the adjustment. His rates were very reasonable (especially compared to San Francisco rates). I'm an avid snowboarder that frequents Northstar, Truckee, and the Lake Tahoe area. I was in search of a chiropractor to just align me after a 3 hour drive and a couple falls on the slopes. To my relief Dr. Dave was available, and not only did he give me a great adjustment, he also used a new technique called Rapid Release that broke up adhesions in my neck, lowerback, and shoulders. Dr. Dave totally saved me! I was on day 3 of a 2 week ski trip when I slipped a rib head out of place (not an infrequent occurrence) and he was able to see me within hours.
