Taum has online courses as well as this class I took today with other body workers from the local area. Taum gave us prep homework and lots of hands on practice doing visceral work. He also does private sessions at Synergy. Taum has worked on everyone from the 49'rs to the Green Berets in North Carolina to Mennonites. The Synergy building is large with lots of free parking. The bathrooms were nice and had both the industrial soap dispensers as well as separate push bottles of more natural soap choices.

His business is all word of mouth. I am so lucky to have met him back in 2013 ( at his old location) . I start going to Gabe ( formally Tahoe Laser PT) a few years ago and he healed some injuries with his laser and manual physical therapy. Gabe is kind, intuitive, and a master healer that I highly recommend to anyone seeking more than just traditional manual physical therapy. I use his Red light therapy pod, known as the Novothor on a regular basis. The Novothor is a very expensive machine that looks like a sun tanning bed but emits healing red light and infrared evenly to your entire body. Anyone wanting to heal their mitochondria ( especially those who have Cancer or who have had Cancer) should be using the Novothor. Here in Truckee we cover up our bodies in the winter so we miss out on the healing effects of the suns rays, the Novothor can make up for this. I use the Novothor in the evenings after work as Gabe has set up a keyless system to check yourself in and out even when his office is closed. I was referred to the Physical Therapy from the main Tahoe Forest office. I called and set up an appointment. They called me back to review my insurance coverage and told me I had not met my deductible so I would have to pay out of pocket. They told me that the first appointment would be approximately $280. I then went to the appointment and was charged $265. A month later I got a bill in the mail for $526, $246 more than I was quoted on the phone. Since receiving that bill I have spoken with at least three different people from the billing/admin office. Each person promised me a call back. I never received any calls back. Then I got another bill in the mail. On the due date I called back and was told, after three months, that they would knock $26 off the bill. Bottom line - NEVER trust these people when they provide you a quote. They will lie to you and they will not honor what they tell you. They also have horrible customer service and on top of all that my shoulder is exactly the same as it was the day I went in. $500 for some stretches.....

I live in San Francisco, but spent the summer in Truckee and I had been experiencing a severe amount of pain in my neck and shoulder. I had had a trip to urgent care and was prescribed some prednisone which one it wore off the pain came back. The amount of pain that I was in was worse than anything that I had experienced in my life and the only way to manage it was heavy pain medication. I had a pinched nerve and a bulging disc at C5 and C4. Also I became unable to lift my shoulder more than 90°. My first visit Jared did a very thorough evaluation with different kinds of muscle testing and recommended some traction exercises to help me create some space in my vertebrae. These exercises only take me three minutes a day and I do believe are helping create more space between my vertebrae and free up the pressure on my nerves. We got the pain under control pretty much immediately through the acupuncture. Today I've been pain free for about 3.5 weeks. Can't tell you how amazing it is to be out of pain after being in so much pain for nearly 6 months. My life had become seriously altered due to chronic pain. I was unable to sleep on my side, my sleep was seriously disturbed and reading books or snuggling with my children became nearly impossible. Even after returning to San Francisco I actually made the 3.5 hour drive (one way) a couple of times to Truckee just to see Jared. I really believed in what he was doing. Every healthcare professional that I have seen, another acupuncturist, physical therapist recommended by my doctor, a chiropractor, and bodyworker told me that it was probably going to take a very, very long time before I would regain movement in my shoulder. On my last visit up to Truckee I saw Jared another two times in a row, this would've been my fourth and fifth visit. The morning after my fifth visit I was able to move my arm all the way up 180°. I was completely and utterly shocked. After various treatments, with multiple healthcare providers, sometimes I would think that I was seeing a degree or two of improvement but I never expected to see something like this. I can tell it's not yet perfect but I'm going to make another day trip, if you can believe it, just to see Jared to see if we can get it there all the way.
