Stayed at the RV Park in a Class A coach: June 28 to 30th 2025. Not a very pleasant site! In addition to the dirt, water puddle at the door step and unsanitary toilet paper from a previous sewage spill that was not properly cleaned up; the sprinklers unexpectedly came on the morning of the 30th and since they were not properly directed shot under and onto the side of the coach. I was able to redirect the sprinklers fortunately. Also, the site was very unlevel. So not a very nice experience. I will not be returning! read more

Great Rv park! Wish they would tell the unruly kids to kick rocks and not play in the trash cans. They came thru our spot and were loud. Other than that this place was so awesome! This RV Resort is an easy off the I80 ten minutes from Reno. Large spacious sites, with nice views of the hillside West. Good food available in the cafe. Nice, helpful folks at the front desk. It's the only park in or near Reno I'd stay. read more

Said they had a few that would meet my needs (across from pool, grass area, and large enough for truck, trailer and small car-gave them our length). Upon arriving we were given site 52. Far end of row from pool, no grass (a little bit of gravel ourtside, and hardly enough space for our truck and trailer - about 6" off road in front and back with awning about to road). No place to really sit outside or for the dogs (other than basically sitting at side of road Must be something better in area for $65 night in the afea. read more

While I've never kept a vehicle here, I do use their propane tank refill services. They are very polite and skilled. One might think that they do small tank refills ALL THE TIME. Great price on propane, too. read more

We were sorry we were just staying one night! The staff were delightful- very helpful with our same-day reservation. The site was great - this is a well-laid out park with trees and plenty of space. Easy walk to casino, restaurant, coffee bar and a store. We weren't bothered by road or train noise, but it might have been different down closer to the road. The only downside was previous visitors did not pick up after their dogs. A little pricey but overall a great spot. read more

We have been here several months and we love the place. The staff is nice and friendly. The people in the park are also nice and neighborly. It's so pretty right by the Sierra's. There is a nice grass spot for almost all sites, and trees all around. The bathrooms are always clean and neat. The washers and dryers aren't the best but they work and all of them work. The wifi isn't the greatest either but it's at RV Park. We love it here. It's right by a coffee shop and Cafe. read more

The "lawn" as they would refer to is a disgrace. They over charged and called it a "Hot August Night" as though the other nights were "cold". What is so disappointing about this experience, is that we stayed there before. As I explained to them on they overcharging my credit card, had I known that this was not a reputable place I would have asked for a receipt and go somewhere else for that one night. Another problem we experienced there was the darkness. We were afraid to take a walk at night. Some lights, or form of lights are needed. As I told their staff, we will not be coming back there. We stayed there for almost two weeks, not knowing they had overcharged the card until we got back home. Never again. Actually, the overcharged site was was muddy and covered with bees. read more

I live in Verdi and often attempt to come here to buy propane. They claim to sell propane between the hours of 11 AM and 4 PM. I would say 75% of the time they turn me away for one excuse or another. If you're in the area and you need propane, I would recommend you try a different location. read more

We moved in for the winter last week. This place is amazing!!! Clean, quiet, neighbors are super nice and extremely helpful. The office staff has been so helpful as well. The views are wonderful from anywhere in the park. Sites are big, and have grass and rock with a Punic bench at everyone of them. We have two huskies and they love the trails and walking areas. Great place for dogs (and everyone picks up after their dogs, pet peeve of mine if you don't) but over all, we so far are absolutely LOVING this place! read more

I really enjoy this RV Resort. Sites are paved and come with full hook-ups. There is breathing room in between sites. Extra parking areas are available if needed. Staff was extremely friendly and the campground is clean and well kept. They also have security that patrols the area. Being very critical, our site was not entirely level. The paved RV pad was unlevel in places were previous RV's had been parked (indents from tires in the blacktop). Simply a combination of heat, RV weight and blacktop. I was able to find a level spot by parking ahead or behind where others seem to park. I've stayed here previously and will certainly return. Perks are being next to a casino, great food, and a coffee bar, all within walking distance of all the campsites. The store also has diesel and gasoline so you can easily fuel right there. read more

Came here after Father's Day weekend for 2 nights, long pull through sights, many are nice some very nice, they do have some full time residents but they are well managed. Trees and green areas, wish they were taken better care of, looks like maintenance has been deferred, Wi-Fi really SUCKS as does the Cable TV. I'm being generous at 4 Stars but If they would address these issues it would be 4-5 Stars. All that being said we will comeback sometime. read more

Immaculately clean, great wifi. We had a pull-through spot near the office, and it was very quiet. Could not hear the highway at all. We were there in a pandemic, so we didn't make much use of the services available, but I can say that the bathrooms were clean with good showers -- each bathroom was an individual closed room with toilet, sink & shower. Nice location if you're just passing through. I wouldn't go here if you want to actually feel like you're camping. Wifi is TERRIBLE. So don't count in watching tv or using it for anything else. First, it's very easy on and off of the freeway. The park is pretty and well tended. The casino food was very good and they have a hot tub/pool on site which was well used by us! When we checked in we were given tickets for 2 free drinks (which we used!) and buy one meal get the second free. Good deals! There is a washer/dryer facility which is also large and clean. The only downside was that it's a little noisy because of the freeway and there is a train of course. I think it's a requirement at RV parks that there be a train which has to whistle in the middle of the night! Overall this is a very nice park, close to Reno and we would definitely stay there again. read more

We had spot 36, a back in that backed into the trees. Spaces are long. Some end sites are very nice so look at map. We happened to be there on Hot August Nights week just by chance so everything was booked up. Water, electric and sewer fine. WiFi not great. Nice there was a restaurant and small casino within walking distance. It's a short drive, probably 12 miles into Reno proper. Was fine and in the trees for a short stay over. There is gas station with diesel and a small convenience store there too. read more

Stop everything and book this RV park. Wide streets, green, green grass, beautiful scenery and huge spots! We called same day, the lady was super courteous on the phone, got a pull through spot and were told arrangements for checking in after 5 pm. Then security dropped off a welcome packet with pool code and wifi information after dark for us. It was wonderful! I had wished we stayed two nights! Casino, store, sub shop and restaurant nearby. We only grabbed subs before heading out the next day. Pool is smallish but does the trick and jacuzzi was closed. They say no older than 10 years old for rigs. They never asked me on the phone though so don't be shy if you have an older motor home. read more

We love this place... but Sheri the camp manager has problems ...she makes this great place a daily nightmare...she has no management skills.. We had a reservation for over a year. One month out we called to confirm it... OMG...she canceled it cuz she didn't call us to confirm..she was really sorry... We were so happy to find this resort. The snow covered mountain backdrop is so beautiful. Each spot is level and black topped. We were given a coupon for one entree off at the restaurant. We have been coming here for 11 yrs. Sherry has been nothing but professional and extremely friendly. I always call when I know she'll be there. The park is clean and safe. It's quiet and peaceful; the scenery is beautiful. We've had raccoons, deer and small creatures come through our campsites and love seeing them. The traffic does not bother us and we love the trains. As for people living there, there are a few, but most are there for the summer/winter working. They are friendly hard-working people. Anymore, Reno has become so expensive and with very few affordable options, people are turning to their RVs. And thank goodness they have them and a nice safe clean place to go. read more

We called to make reservations with Sherry asking how much would it be to stay from August 21st thru October 4th as we were booked to be at the Sparks Marina on the 4th. We were already booked up a Truckee but wanted to see if this would work out better financially. Sherry called us back and quoted $ 1034.98. And that if she could get it even less she would try. At that point my husband wrote it down in his calendar as he always does and we at that point cancelled Truckee. The staff is very unpredictable and actually lie to save their jobs. The woman "manager " accused my husband of being a bully which is so far from the truth. Sherry messed up our reservations causing us to overpay by over$ 500. They say " no one lives here" but they do they basically cover there own asses with each other for fear of loosing there jobs. The place is beautiful. But there is definitely something very odd going on. We mentioned that we were being treated unfairly and deserved to be heard and the woman manager said I have heard it all from Sherry And we were not able to explain. When we mentioned that the court will decide. At that point she threatened my husband by saying she is calling the police. And to get out! She also confronted my husband today with the words "you again!"how is this any kind of customer service !!!!All we wanted is to get to the truth. The staff seems so fearful of making mistakes in fear once again of loosing their jobs,that they don't do the right thing. Jeannie who is the smartest one out of the bunch admitted that mistakes were made and asked us to not get her involved for fear of getting fired How is that ok ?The person that owns Truckee gaming needs a wake up call. Tom another manager then got involved and once again treated us with no respect.Customers should never be treated in this manner. And yes! We are taking them to court. Our only mistake was reserving over the phone with only a verbal confirmation. Get everything in writing ! They also quote, "Your contract says". Yet we were never s or signed a contract.just to let you know about our character. You ask anyone that knows us. We are nice people that don't make waves or causes problems.We ended up paying over $1500 because of their mistake and their inability to admit being wrong. I always find it amusing when you read these reviews, and how upset people get with specific individuals. I wonder if it's more a personal problem than an actual issue with the business. I say this because I was apprehensive about going to Gold Ranch due to the negative reviews of the front desk. That said, my experience was stellar. We are fulltime RV'ers, and I'm a bit particular with where we park our rig. I need it to be quiet, and somewhat private. Sherry assisted me and went out of her way to search multiple date sequences to find us the best spot that fit all of our needs. She was kind, humorous and most importantly, patient. There a is a small casino and a few small restaurants next door so you need not travel anywhere if you don't want toThe facilities are very clean and I always prefer the individual bathrooms that they feature. This is a beautiful RV park with huge spots for all size rigs. Average spot is 70ft long. Grass at every site and beautiful scenery. The office staff is amazing and very accommodating. The on site facilities are VERY clean and modern. Small pool with nice hot tub. There is a nice casino on site, great cafe, gas station and propane all with in walking distance from your site. Just a short 10 minute drive to downtown Reno. Only one downside and that is there is no fenced dog area but lots of trails nearby read more

I stopped here for a night when I was tired, and could drive no further. I was coming home from Burning Man, and the pine trees and alpine air in which this campground resides were balm to my arid soul. Even though I arrived at 11:56 PM (only minutes before the park is closed to late arrivals) a polite and very gracious late-night security guard met me at the front entrance, helped me figure out what kind of site would best suit me and my 15' 1969 Siesta Trailer, and got my paperwork started - I could pay at the office the next morning. If you're driving an RV, you'll need to have one that is 10 years old or newer- but there's no such restrictions for trailers, or at least none published in Gold Ranch's information booklet. The next morning, the office opened promptly, and I was able to pay my approximately $35 (I requested a pull-through site) and I was on my way. Very nice folks here. There is a smallish pool, and a jacuzzi, but I didn't avail myself to either of those amenities. Each site had a small lawn area as well as a picnic table. Most sites had some pine trees to separate the spaces. read more

Very nice RV park just outside of Reno. Staff was friendly and helpful and the pull through spot accommodated our 43' 5th wheel and one ton truck. We didn't even have to unhook. My phone was found on the grounds and Sherri took the time to figure out who it belonged to. She was kind enough to mail it to me and it arrived in a timely fashion.
