Unfortunately this place I has gone way down in overall standards. Ribs not as juicy or tender. Depending on the day, you might get a good sized rack of juicy ribs or you might get a small, dried up chewy rack of ribs. Beef brisket is a total failure these days. Tough, poor quality meat, barely any smoke, and feels like tough roast beef instead of slow smoked brisket. Mac n cheese is yet another failure. Barely any better than KD. Forget the cornbread too. Forget the ambiance as there is none. Forget the service, there is also none at all. What was once, if only occasionally, brilliant is now consistently awful. read more

I had Truckin BBQ at a food truck festival a while back and it was really good! I got the brisket sandwich with a side of fries. The sandwich had tons of meat, a brioche bun and a really great sauce, the fries were crispy and had a really good seasoning and parsley garnish! I just saw the new restaurant sign up as I drove by and decided to stop in. I was the only one in the restaurant outside of the two staff members. The interior looks a little more spacious now that the soft drink coolers have been removed and now that the interior is a brighter shade of white. I was greeted as soon as I entered asking if I we're eating in or taking out. As I was eating in the server asked if I would find a table and they would bring me a menu. I perused the menu for about two minutes when they asked if I were ready to order. I requested a half pound of the pulled pork, a half rack of ribs, and the fried pickles. I had the whole meal delivered to the table in roughly five minutes. I am not sure if the pickles are dredged in house but the batter tastes just like what you get at the VIP Cinemas in Abbotsford. They were tasty but not compelling enough for me to order them again. Both meat dishes were lukewarm and fairly dry. They were reminiscent of a great meal from the night before, then reheated. The flavour of the pulled pork and the rub used on both was nice, and the side of barbecue sauce complemented them both well. On the rib plate I received a rib tip; it was also quite dry and rubbery. Unfortunately two of my ribs had bone spurs in them. Rather than following the meat and cutting between the bones, two of the bones were cut on a diagonal. That made my last couple of bites fairly unpleasant. I will have to come by again during a dinner shift to see if that makes any difference. Lastly I need to address the staff and Covid-19 protocols. I was greeted by staff with masks on and when anyone came to the table they both had masks on, but as soon as they got back behind the counter to the food prep stations the masks came off and went on the counter. Additionally, one staff member was eating at the prep station. These actions in normal times would not be a big deal, but in the current climate this just can't happen. Based on these oversights I will refrain from visiting for the time being. Ultimately, tasty food and fast service with room for improvement. read more

We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a beef brisket truckin mac & cheese. Overall, their menu offer some solid BBQ food items to choose from. Both the pulled pork and beef brisket meat were tender, juicy and dressed in BBQ sauce. The fries had seasoning salt. I would have preferred plain salted fries. One of the worst BBQ place I've ever been to. I order the pulled pork mac and cheese. It was just boiled noodles, they forgot the cheese or any sauce, was half cold and hot on one side. . The pulled pork was just average. Low quality food that they put little to no effort in. Also there is so many flies in there. Kind of gross when you're eating with flies swarming around your food. Best to save your money and not go here. I will not be returning. read more

Ordered take out. The staff is friendly and super helpful. We ordered a platter with Ribs, pulled pork, brisket and sausage. The sides included slaw, beans and Caesar salad. It was well packaged for the ride home. It was sooooo good. Good helpings of everything. We had leftovers that we're saving for our lunches tomorrow. Probably the best BBQ in the area. They have a large outdoor seating area - may come back to enjoy more good food while the weather is nice. read more

Horrible. Not BBQ. I lived in the south for years. Their "brisket" isn't smoked, it's roast beef...and even then? They didn't properly trim their fat or render it. Their pulled pork? Isn't smoked pulled pork either. The best thing about this place was the pecan pie and it's store bought. Do NOT waste your time or money to eat here. Was way over priced. Decided I wanted BBQ on a hot day. Was greeted as soon as I walked in and saw they had a nice patio area outside. I asked for Truckin Meal of 2 meats and side of poutine. We were pleasantly delighted with the portion size and taste of the ribs and brisket. I'm not sure if they make the gravy in house but with all that BBQ meat, I think it could be a bit more flavourful. Not to downplay others experience but I was surprised at the person saying it isn't brisket and not smoked. You cannot get a great end char without smoking the meat and ours definitely was as you can taste it and same with the ribs, you can really taste the smoke flavours. I would recommend trying this place for yourself as the BBQ was good, sauce complimentary and the poutine was decent too. Forgot to take pics as it was delish! read more

This place absolutely crushed it. Starting from a food truck and adding 2 branches during Covid is a monumental task and these guys nailed it. Exceptional food and even better service. 10/10 will return. read more
