The current rating of barely 3.5 stars certainly didn't look promising and yet after browsing the photos posted by the previous diners, I got a conviction that this place might be more than the mediocre rating. I thus proceeded my way to the store to try it out. And I didn't regret a bit. It was a slow high noon lunchtime for this quaint shop. When I stepped in there was only one person inside (and he soon left) so all of a sudden I had the whole place to myself! The lady upfront warmly received me with a nice smile. She let me take my time after I had said "I think I will need a minute." At this time, I was already impressed. Not only the kind welcoming greeting by the lady, the showcase to display all the baked goods to the adorable interior to the store merchandise to the selection of the gelato to the little refrigerator to hold prepackaged goods, this store was definitely way more than 3.5 stars. As I was browsing, the two salads in the mini (clear) refrigerator caught my attention so I inquired about them. Both the Chickpea and Roma Pasta Salads were only $6. I was like "Yup, I am getting them!" I definitely needed one (sweet) bakery item so I went with the Bread Pudding with Almond Cream Cheese. This place is not much of a tea place however. I thought I was going to get an iced tea or something but whereas they do have tea lattes they don't make simple teas (hot or cold) is what I heard from the lady. No worries on that. I hence went with a hot Americano. This ended up being the right choice as I would need something a bit stronger than a simple tea so I would be able to stay awake on the road to get back to Denver after the strenuous runs at Keystone resort. She did ask me if I wanted my bread pudding be warmed up to which I said yes. She then put everything in a brown bags and carefully placed a little container of half and half on top of everything which she warmed me about if tipped off it might spill a bit so she said to be careful. I certainly wasn't expecting this kind of above-and-beyond-ness; service here thus is top-notch. She saw me off with the same warm smile as I walked away from it. As soon as I back to my car, I started my little lunchtime. And I tell you, EVERYTHING i got today was more than satisfactory. Both salads were exceptionally made (I especially liked the Chickpea one.) The Bread Pudding had a nice texture with the perfect sweetness. And it was a good portion as well. My Americano was nice and steamy. And the side half and half she gave me was more than enough. This experience was way more than I had expected in so many different ways. So in conclusion, True Blue is very much under-appreciated. Hence, by writing this review, I am spreading the love I have for this store to the entire state of Colorado. People, go here if you are in Silverthorne/Dillon/Keystone area; this is a gem! read more

This place is under construction right now and is closed. I found out only by going to the store and seeing their sign. They should update all websites with this. Also I ordered for pick up on DoorDash. They should not be accepting orders on DoorDash right now. Since it appears they are open and processing orders I could not get a refund from DoorDash. True Blue Coffee & Gelato is yummy! I'm particular about my coffee - and the coffee here is delicious. Their beans are from Breckenridge Coffee Roasters, a local spot. I tried an iced S'mores latte and my partner ordered a Hazelnut Crème Carmel latte. Both were flavorful and balanced. They have a large flavored latte menu, and also sugar free vanilla, hazelnut, and carmel syrup. Alternative milk is offered for $1 more. Our barista, Kat, was super friendly and offered food recommendations. The inside is nice with lots of windows, making the cafe bright. There's also a dog-friendly outdoor patio with ample seating. Free WiFi is offered, making this an ideal place to work on a laptop. Some tables are marked as "screen free" with an idea to use the table to socialize or read a book. In addition to coffee, they have gelato, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and a long list of lunch sandwiches. They are open until 7pm weekdays and 8pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This is a great place to come for breakfast, grab a pastry, meet up with friends, or hang on a patio. After enjoying lunch in Frisco, I was craving some dessert. It looked like the Dillon area was really beautiful (spoiler alert: it is!) and I had gotten a recommendation that there were great gelato options in the area, so I headed down the road to check it out. When I arrived, it was pretty empty. Two girls in front of me got five different samples. By the time they were done, there was a long line behind me. Instead of getting any samples, I asked if she recommended the chocolate or mint chocolate chip gelato to go with cookies and cream. She suggested the mint, so I ordered two scoops in a cup. I headed to the register to pay. He was in the middle of making a drink and answering customer questions about the alcoholic options, so the second line waited a couple minutes until he could return to the register. (The gelato was starting to melt a little bit by the time I paid.) The prices were very reasonable for two scoops. He noted that I could also get a pint to go, but I don't think it would have survived my drive back. I took a seat inside to enjoy my dessert. The gelato was pretty good. I liked the flavors and the texture was thick. There was a richness to both scoops. Overall, I'm glad I stopped by here for a treat. read more

If you're looking for a place to study or work, this coffee shop is not the place for you. They advertise having a "workspace" which includes bar style seating lined with charging plugs, but don't let it fool you. They don't offer any WiFi and passive aggressive messages are posted on all the tables stating that they discourage screen use. If the owners were looking for a way to alienate locals, they succeeded. If you want to feel welcomed, I recommend House of Vibes or Red Buffalo, who both also have way better coffee than this place. Stopped in while visiting family in the area and each of us got gelato and really enjoyed the rich flavors and our time on the patio. I had the Bourbon Vanilla Apple Crisp and the the apple bits were outstanding. My daughter had been there before and loved the coffee (amazingly this store previously had been a Starbucks). Gave this place 2 stars because of the cashiers lack of knowledge on menu items. I asked what kind of matcha the place used , she said "normal". Definitely don't recommend for matcha drinks, given the color of the powder was pale green. Poor quality matcha equals pale green color. read more

Bad experience at the cafe today. The 2 people working couldn't care less about serving the customers. We were staying in Keystone and they were expecting rain for about an hour. We decided to duck into this little coffee and gelato store to get coffee and chill. We were there when it wasn't super busy so we had a good experience. We got a London fog and a dirty chai to drink and both enjoyed it. There were two young workers and the girl was really attentive to customers (it was her last day) and the guy seemed in training. They were both kind to everyone that came in. As we were leaving it got packed so I'm sure those people may have had a different experience. I've been coming here for years and have usually loved it but I will not be going back after the way I was treated today. Young girl, long light brown hair, foreign accent from Argentina maybe made me feel very unwelcome and that I was inconveniencing her with ordering a latte and then a water after an hour of working there, after I had tipped 20% on an $8 latte. She kicked me out of the coffee shop at 3:53 PM today when it clearly states they are open 8PM every day. Two guests came in directly as she rudely told me to leave and she immediately barked at them that they are closed. Those guests looks so sad. She's ruining people's moods, one day at a time. They were out of the breakfast burritos at the time, so we went for a hot bagel and it did not disappoint! Looked like a really cute place. I used to come here daily when I lived in Summit Cty. and it was a Starbucks. I figured it would be good to support a local business and skip the Starbucks in City Market. We went inside and there was no one behind the counter. We waited at least 10 minutes and no one appeared. I thought it was weird how empty the place was since it was 11:30 and close to the lunch hour. Finally, we realized there's a bell so I rang it. A server appeared from the back and did not look pleased to see us. Maybe she was having a bad day? I ordered a cappuccino with nonfat milk but she began arguing that nonfat milk was not a good choice for a cappuccino since it doesn't foam well. Huh??? . Sorry to break it to you but I was a barista for years and nonfat foams just as well as full fat. I wasn't going to argue but said I'd prefer nonfat milk please. When I received the drink we quietly left. My first sip wasn't until we'd hit heavy traffic on I-70. It was probably the worst cappuccino I've ever had. It was scalding hot, bitter and only halfway full with guess what?? Foam. Lots and lots of foam. read more

The service was abysmal. They had one person working which is just not sustainable. Forgot multiple parts of our order multiple times. Not her fault, that's a management failure. Also the portions are tiny and the burritos are advertised as "hand made" but they pull them out of a warming case. And again it was tiny and 12 dollars. Overpriced, underwhelming and understaffed. Don't recommend. Edit- Response to owner: No, it was a single order. It was annotated as multiple because some of our food and two drinks were missing. It took nearly an hour to get everything. It was not the employee's fault, she was very nice and did the best she could--she did refund us after everything. You're lucky to have her. I paid in cash initially and did include a tip. This place was absolutely amazing. The gelato was so delicious there were seven of us and between all of us I think we tried every flavor. Every single one of us was pleased with our gelato. I also ordered oat lattes and they were delicious. What I really like about this place is that they're very eco-conscious. Also the young lady behind the counter was so friendly and nice. We felt very welcomed and ended up staying a little while and ordering extra ice cream and coffee. The family got four drink. The lavender lemonade and the cold brew with cold foam were delicious. My son and I love chai so we both got one. The flavors were got were spicy and we were told this ahead of time. The spice wasn't really the problem. Aside from spice, the drinks were mostly void of that delicious chai flavor. I don't know whether the barista used too little chai, didn't shake the carton before pouring in the cups or if the brand they use just doesn't have a lot of flavor. It nice a nice place with good atmosphere. I just want my drink to taste better. I chose this place over Starbucks to help a local business and maybe get a better tasting drink. The paninis were good but unfortunately the service is a bit of a joke. Waited far too long for paninis. Then attempted to get gelato but after 20 minutes we still weren't attended too. Meanwhile the assistant manager (who was bragging about this title to a customer) spent those 20 minutes socializing, while the other two employees lazily made coffee orders. Sadly the staff is a bunch of 20 something year olds who don't care about the actual business or customer service. Will not return.
