Last time I was here was a couple years back, so I was excited to visit again! We came maybe an hour before closing, and there was still a good number of people there. The prices have gone up pretty high. I wanted to try a specialty sweet crepe, but I didn't want to pay more than $16 for one, so I opted for a house sweet crepe that cost $12.50. It was a pretty basic crepe with ice cream, dulce de leche drizzled over the top, and cinnamon dusted throughout. It was good, just a little messy because the ice cream was melting with each cut. We also got a double scoop with pistachio and chips ahoy gelato for $8.25. We were originally going to get one scoop, but it was going to be cheaper if we got two scoops. The gelato was super smooth and creamy, and the flavors were great! Employees were friendly and polite. Small tables for seating inside. Parking is free for the first 3 hours! read more

I came in for a Hot Mocha. It was wonderful and delicious. Made perfectly. Service was quick and pleasant. I sat outside and then came inside due to rain. The crepes and gelato also looked good. Other patrons around me were enjoying those items. I definitely recommend the coffee. read more

My wife and I were making our way back to Denver from Glenwood Springs and found Kiwi completely by accident and I was so glad we did. Looking at their selection of ice creams I was immediately intrigued by the rose petal sorbet. I love the smell of roses and rose flavored Turkish delight has always been a special treat for me, but the flavor of this sorbet was out of this world! It was so fresh and bright, I got a bowl with 2 scoops of it. My wife sampled their Dulce de leche, hazelnut chocolate, and avocado ice cream flavors before going with a passion fruit sorbet. It was all delicious. The one regret I have is not sampling the prickly pear sorbet as well, but that'll definitely be something I try next time. I think we can all agree that it is standard industry practice in the ice cream business to include a sugar or wafer cone in the price of a scoop. Kiwi charges $6 for a scoop and $1.10 for a sugar cone. The price of a sugar cone is hidden amidst a list of other items. Kiwi should prominently display two scoop prices $6 single scoop cup, $7.10 single scoop cone. The ice cream was good and seemed more natural and less sugary than other ice cream stores. When I walked in, I first saw their huge selection of fruit bars and I was amazed! They had bars made strictly with fruit, chocolate, and a bunch of other stuff all for $4.50-5.50. What can I tell ya, I like ice cream. I stopped into Kiwi after dropping my wife off for a nail appointment around the corner. After trying a few things that didn't do anything for my taste buds, I ordered a scoop of peanut butter cookies and cream in a waffle cone without even trying it. All the ice cream in that particular cooler seemed pretty melted on top. The girl scooped out some from my selected choice, but it was like she was scooping up a milk shake - and not a thick one. She barely got the stuff into the cone, then thrust it over the counter, where it unceremoniously flowed onto my hand. When I handed it back to her, she tried scooping the melted ice cream back into the cone, but it was like trying to play pool with a wet noodle. Not happening, she threw the mess into the garbage. I said I'd rather have a flavor from the other cooler, where the ice cream looked a little firmer. Ignoring me, she scooped some more soup into a new cone and handed it to me. Now this part's on me. I should have just handed it back to her and left, but I really wanted that ice cream. I paid and left, quickly slurping up the confection that turned out not to be so great after all. For the rest of the day I kept picturing myself shoving that melted concoction into that little so-and-so's face, but I guess I'm glad I didn't. This was within walking distance to the resort we were staying at for our honeymoon. We stopped in several times. The Cafe a la creme is fantastic.
