Luckily, she was transported to the very best trauma hospital in the area. Diagnosed with a brain bleed and a sprained ankle from her fall, they kept her for observation. Long story short, she was sent home, but had a few strange episodes and was in a lot of pain, and returned for about another week of care. We met several of her nurses and were impressed with their bedside manners. They really took good care of my MIL. The hospital is easy to navigate and has a terrific parking structure within walking distance. And a Starbucks open until midnight during the week. Overall, a great experience for a terrifying situation.

When I saw the doctor, I explained my symptoms, but from the start, I felt like my concerns were being dismissed. He made a comment that high blood pressure is "better than low," which didn't feel reassuring given why I was there. He told me the plan was to do blood work, an EKG, and give me another dose of my blood pressure medication. I had my blood drawn and waited, expecting to be called back for the EKG. Instead, the doctor later came to tell me that my "EKG and blood work" were normal. I had to point out that I never actually received an EKG. He responded that he must have been thinking of another patient, which was concerning in itself. He then said he didn't think an EKG was necessary anymore, even though it had been part of the original plan. He recommended that I start taking my blood pressure medication twice a day and discharged me. This left me feeling confused and uneasy. After doing some research the next day, I learned that I am already on the maximum recommended dose of that medication, and increasing it is not typically advised. Overall, I left feeling that my concerns weren't taken seriously and that the care I received lacked attention to detail.

The nurses who were there on a holiday made me feel like the most important person in the world through my very long labor. They followed every request that I had. There was no hassle or ego they were incredible. The meals provided at no charge for my husband and I came quickly and we were even reminded to order food at certain times so we didn't miss our opportunity. Once my son was born the nurses were amazing at coming in to make sure we were both well taken care of but also respectful that we got rest in between. They also made him a little crochet Santa hat and a stocking to place him in for photos which was adorable. The day he was born they also had a photographer come and offer to take pictures available if we decided to purchase them. It such a nice extra perk because we didn't need to organize or go out of our way to get a newborn shoot and now we have pictures from the day he was born to keep forever. The billing was kinda funky but after explaining over the phone our insurance should cover more of the bill they immediately apologized and recognized a billing error which they corrected and called back again to follow up and ensure me it was taken care of properly. I cannot say enough incredible things about my experience with our entire experience at this hospital. From checking in with the ER, to labor and delivery and even billing every person I interacted with was incredible and truly went out of their way to make us feel cared for.

His methodical approach begins by actually taking the Time to understand YOU and what you're dealing with ... not just your symptoms or ailments. You're not just another patient to them, and he's not your average doctor. After taking the time to understand what you're experiencing, they do a thorough job explaining in layman's terms exactly what our intricate system is telling us. Solaris has been a vital part of staying healthy and functioning at my best, and I appreciate clear and consistent communication who I can always depend on to give me a proper plan of action. I feel so grateful to have found this clinic because there's nothing worse than a lingering issue, that has been coated but never fully treated. There's no "bandaids" or temporary solutions here, longevity and having you back to feeling your best is their focus and there's no doctor I trust more than Dr. Ken and his staff.

I came here for help with perimenopause symptoms I had been experiencing. During my initial blood work review, I mentioned to Dr. Kenneth McWilliams that I had discussed my results with a trusted RN friend who specializes in hormone therapy and perimenopause care. Because she is licensed in another state, she was unable to treat me, but she helped me better understand my lab work. I was not questioning Dr. Kenneth McWilliams expertise; I simply wanted to compare and confirm recommendations. However, the he seemed offended and emphasized that he had been doing this for more than 20 years. I was also taking notes during the appointment because I am not a healthcare professional and wanted to remember and understand everything we discussed. At one point, I was jokingly asked if I was a "spy from another office," which made me feel uncomfortable and dismissed for being engaged in my own health. We ultimately agreed on a treatment plan, which included starting liothyronine despite my thyroid levels already being within the normal range, to optimize it. About a month later, I began experiencing unwanted side effects and reached out to the office seeking guidance. I left messages and did not receive a response for the remainder of the day. I called again the next morning, left another voicemail, and still received no response. When I followed up a few hours later, I was told they had been busy. I understand that medical offices can have hectic days, but when a patient is experiencing side effects from a prescribed medication, timely communication matters. Even a quick acknowledgment or reassurance would have gone a long way. For a practice that focuses on optimizing health and wellness, I expected a higher level of responsiveness and patient care. I did not feel supported nor cared for when I needed help, and because of that I will be seeking care elsewhere.

One Medical is an interesting place to review because... it's not a restaurant, and it's not an…read moreentertainment place. But it's a place you go to see a doctor. And in the spirit of Yelp... I review everything. Including... walk-in doctor's offices. So, I'm a One Medical user, and I've used it for about six months. This is my home location, and I'm definitely a fan. One of the main things I like about it is how you can get labs done by just walking in anytime. You don't need an appointment. You just walk in and wait. If there's a line, they can give you a time to come back. Or, if there's no line, you can just sit in the waiting room. It's very nice to have a lab on site, and you don't have to deal with the whole Sonora Quest adventure that a lot of us Arizonans deal with. I've seen two nurse practitioners there. Both of them were helpful. And not only did they show good bedside manner--if I'm able to use that term, despite not actually being in a hospital bed--but they also were quick to respond to my messages on the app. The service here is painless. No pun intended. It's easy to make an appointment. Their app is very well-designed. And this location is clean and friendly. I would recommend One Medical if you're looking for a simple primary care experience.

He is probably one of the kindest, most understanding and sincere doctors I have seen in a long time. His bedside manners are fantastic, I never feel rushed and I always feel like he cares about making me feel heard. His MA is wonderful, they are always super friendly and helpful. As for Village Medical as a facility - this place needs a lot of help. Trying to communicate with a provider is difficult. You cannot call the office directly, you send a message it takes days to get a reply. You use the chat or call the help line and it takes days for you to get some type of a reply from anyone. The answer is always "we will get back to you in a week." Sometimes a week is a very long time when you have a pressing issue. There is certainly a disconnect between the patient and provider. It is all corporate and help desk. When I get feedback from my pharmacy that I need a pre-authorization, or there is a question, it takes about a week to get any type of resolution because you cannot communicate with the office directly. If it was not for the fact that I like my doctor so much I would leave this place. Finding a good doctor is very tough. I just wish this place would get it together.
