True dog hotdog - 9/10 - Really enjoyed this. It was very flavorful but i would personally get less caramelized and fried onions next time.

These were soooo good! 10/10!!! I had the True Dog and BB Fries!!! They were delicious! The guy serving us was so nice and prompt with our food. The ambiance is literally at the campus outside of Rice University. So there were people (possibly students) hanging out having fun. I liked the whole vibe.

Currently munching on one and I had to stop and give this place a 5 star rating. Best hotdogs I've has in a while! Reminds me of mom's cooking!

Cute little truck! This truck came to my complex. Boy was the dog a lot to handle!!! Meal was definitely filling. I had to tell myself to slow down to "watch my figure" with this one!

Food truck came to my complex for food truck Tuesday and was not disappointed at all! Wonderful experience all around. Conversed with the guy that runs the business (unfortunately didn't get his name...oops) and he was very nice. Got the True Dog and the Danny Dog. Both were very good, but Danny Dog was definitely the best. Forsure recommend if you like kimchi. Really wanted to get the fries too, but I got the two for $10 deal with the hot dogs and knew I couldn't stomach all three items. Definitely next time!

True Dog was formerly Yoyo's which I have been wanting to try. I had the True Dog which is with a toasted potato bun topped with cream cheese, curry ketchup, caramel iced onions, fried onions sriracha, honey mayo and pepper. I was charged $6. I read review a day earlier which was $5 afterwards so I am disappointed about the price difference. The hot dog was actually really good so I would recommend the hot dog. It is my first time so I didn't know they had different options and fries which the person there didn't tell me. He only told me about the True Dog. I could have ordered more if I knew. I gave 3 stars because of the price difference and the lack of informing me of the full menu. I do recommend the True Dog for the True Dog. The hotdog is good.

Truly DELICIOUS!! Formerly ran as Yoyo's Hot Dog, the quality and taste are up to par if not better! I got the True Dog (AKA "all the way" hot dog) with the veggie dog instead of beef. It was loaded with cream cheese, curry ketchup, caramelized onions, fried onions, sriracha, honey mayo, and pepper. The service was wonderful and it's conveniently located right across ice barn at the four corners in sugarland so there's plenty of parking available in the open lot. They offer a kimchi dog and a cheese head which is topped with crushed hot Cheetos!! Great place for a quick snack, I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in the area!! They will substitute any beef dog with a veggie dog, just ask when you place your order!

Let me start by saying I saw a few reviews stating that this place was formerly yoyo's so I ordered excited to try it. However I highly doubt it because I ordered a True dog via Uber Eats and the Hot dog was soft and didn't taste grilled, onions where too big, bun was soft and most of the sauce was gone or stuck to the cover by the time it got to me. I have order from yoyo's when they were on Uber eats and the taste and quality I got was the same when I went to the cart was the same when I ordered online. I do not recommend this place.

    Takorcia N.

Simply amazing. These dogs through a party on my palette. Not your ordinary dog. The crunch, the spice, the slight Tang with savory... I can't wait to have more dogs from here. The only recommendation I have is to not charge 5 bucks for a plain dog because little kids only like plain dogs and 5 bucks is pricey for a plain dog with ketchup.

We tried the turkey, brisket, and jalapeño sausage, and every one of them was delicious. The brisket was especially impressive--moist, incredibly tender, and so soft you didn't even need a knife to cut it. The sides were very good, but the meats were definitely the highlight of the meal. One thing we really appreciated was the toppings bar, which included pickles, onions, pickled onions, jalapeños, and two different barbecue sauces so you could customize each bite. They even had a mini soft-serve ice cream machine for a little dessert after your meal, which was a nice touch. They also offer family meal options, making it a great choice for larger groups. The restaurant was clean, had plenty of seating, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The lychee ceviche I was looking forward to was underwhelming. More beautiful than tasty, which the dessert suffered the same fate. The soccer ball was photogenic but it should be both with the level of sophistication in taste they acquire in their craft. It was reminiscent of a Cadbury egg. Just the peaches and the chocolate were unimpressive and not complimentary of each other. The tuna papad was amazing. Some subtle hints of aromatic Indian flavors and and sweetness. The contrast of crisp and soft and presented well. That's how I expected each dish. The rizala was creamy but not exciting with bold flavors like I was hoping. The lamb was inconsistent. One of them was tough and texture/taste off. The rest were tender but not flavorful enough in seasoning. Tried a new naan. Nimbu it was ok but too thin for naan and the lemon essence didn't really spread well across. Mango pina colada was nice. Quite disappointing for $220 though. Possible I just ordered terribly. The chef tasting menu didn't look appetizing or sound very Indian so I ordered à la cart.

We ain't in Queens anymore…read more For years, I've eaten on Shah's all around the borough, initially out in Ozone Park and Briarwood before finding a real audience in Sunnyside. Now that they've sufficiently blown up around NYC, I was a bit shocked (and excited) to see them finally come to H-Town. What's the verdict? It's good enough to pass muster for NY standards (#1), is open super late, and will likely be my go-to Halal food for the foreseeable future. Since I've only had it in cart form, I'm still a buggin over the fact it's become a franchise. It's similar to my shock of eating Halal Guys at a store for the first time. The digs feel as foreign (prices, large, clean and bright interior) as it does familiar (taste, logo, etc.). Even though I had a laugh seeing the wall photo-mural of a Shah's cart in Times Square, I did appreciate the nod to Ozone Park with the 121st & Liberty street signs. The chicken + lamb combo platter ($12) is and always will be the winner. The lamb had the same kind of seasoning that most Halal spots out here try to replicate but can never get right. The rice was fluffy, and the white sauce was easily the highlight. I can understand why they've decided to bottle it up and sell it as liquid gold. It makes every meal better. Kofta ($12) and chapli ($13) are rarely my favorites, but I knew I had both in platter form. The addition of adding chickpeas and these other salads is not something I'm used to from the carts (#2) but I loved the fact it was drowned in the white sauce with a dash of hot sauce. The latter is supposedly extremely hot, but I didn't find it that spicy. While I have to say the cheeseburger was a bit of a disappointment (overly bready, thin patty), the pakora chips and french fries were fabulous. They were perfectly seasoned, had a nice crisp, and frankly would be an excellent, gut-busting addition to any platter. I don't love the extra charge, but I hope they remain consistent with it. This store location in Westchase along Westheimer is an up and coming part of town. There are numerous Middle Eastern businesses in the adjacent area, along with an abundance of parking spots and a good amount of late night activity. Service was friendly but I do hope they keep their standards up. As time goes on, I'm 100% convinced this will be a destination for the many late night meal seekers and fans of NY nostaligia. __________ (#1) Which automatically supersedes a lot of the ones here in Houston. Just keeping it real. (#2) Is the chickpeas a Houston thing? Genuinely curious.

This is a nicely sized spot next to the Jusgo plaza in Houston Chinatown, so plenty of parking and also food options. It's tucked in a corner but should not be written off. Its a pretty casual sitdown restaurant and we were welcomed and sat pretty quickly on a Saturday around 8:30PM. We were provided menus and started ordering everything that sounded good (within reason for 2, sorta). We ended up getting the Uyghur polo with lamb shank, Uyghur goshnaan, korma chop, garlic cucumbers, mint tea, and a yogurt for dessert. This was more than enough food for 2 but I wanted to try a bunch and this is me holding back. The Uyghur goshnaan was very crispy and the filling was flavorful and juicy, good lamb flavor and nice spices. The Uyghur polo with lamb shank was great and the pilaf had a nice sweetness with raisins that cut through some of the fatty richness of the lamb. The korma chop was also super flavorful with a nice savory sauce and noodled with an excellent texture, very QQ. I don't usually order cucumbers at Asian restaurants cause I can make a cucumber salad pretty easily at home but the one here was very good. Excellent refreshing crunch and garlic flavor to go with all the other dishes. The mint tea was also nice to wash down the mountains of food I was inhaling. I also enjoyed the yogurt, it's a thicker yogurt like a Greek yogurt and topped with honey and raisins. Again, a nice sweet/tart treat that didn't feel too heavy after everything else. I definitely need to come back as I didn't even get my big plate chicken but it'll be hard to choose between all the options. I def recommend this spot, esp if you like lamb as all the dishes we had were excellent and priced fairly for the portion and current economic situation.

I noticed they now advertise 50 flavors, and the specials have changed as well. Unfortunately, just my luck, my usual flavor, Spicy Lemon Pepper BBQ, is no longer on the menu. I decided to try Spicy Lemon Pepper Honey instead, and it was actually really good. I'd definitely order that flavor again. My friend ordered the same flavor, but her order only came out as regular Spicy Lemon Pepper, so she was understandably disappointed with that mix-up. I also ordered two separate 6-count wing orders ($10.99 each) and was only given one ranch sauce. Mind you, these weren't part of a wing special. If I had ordered a 12-count with two flavors, I would've understood, but ordering two separate 6-counts made me assume we'd each get our own sauce. Maybe I should've been more specific, but honestly, I didn't think that would be necessary. The other odd part of the experience was requesting the wings to be fried hard. The cook came out from the back three separate times to confirm that's what I wanted and kept emphasizing that it would take 20 minutes. I was a little confused because, yes, that's exactly how I ordered them, and I was perfectly fine waiting since I'm paying for the food. I even asked how long they normally cook them because all the repeated confirmations started making me concerned. The reason I requested them fried hard in the first place was because during a previous visit, the wings were soft and borderline undercooked. Overall, the wings were good this time around, but the multiple service hiccups made the experience a little frustrating. I'd probably come back, but maybe on a Wednesday for the .99 special because there are other places in Houston with better wing deals at this price point. The food has potential, especially with all the flavor options, but consistency and attention to detail could definitely be improved.
