I normally love true food kitchen. But I feel like this time around it was a miss, could be what I ordered. I wanted to try their "chicken fingers" and fries. The chicken tenders were very flat and felt meatless. Pretty dry, I know everything here is fresh and healthier however the chicken lacked flavor and did taste like frozen (which obviously I know they aren't) anyways, fries were regular nothing extravagant. We ordered a pizza too (not pictured) and that was good, always love their pizzas. I'd visit again just get a different dish. read more

I've been getting *takeout* FREQUENTLY since I first discovered True Food Kitchen, I love how transparent the menu is; it fits in with my diet goals and it's easy to eat with restrictions. I appreciate how seamless the takeout experience is. I order online, pick it up or get it delivered and it's right every time. That being said, I have *dined in* a handful of times and the service here is not great. Each time, we've had several items come out incorrect, items missed, neglected by our server and begging for refills... a server even tried to gaslight us into thinking we ordered differently (an item I'm literally unable to eat) and we had to replay the events back to her. It's not a good look for such a nice establishment. Fortunately we've always been comped for server mistakes. I'll continue to order takeout, I'll even dine in again (the food is that good) but I will come with lower expectations; I won't bring clients here anymore, maybe just casual lunch with hubby. read more

We also got the hash bowl. Nothing special. It's an assembly of a couple of pieces of beef strip, lots of sweet potato, roasted peppers and onions, avocado and two sunny side up egg. My girlfriend and I popped in for lunch. Our server greeted us with a friendly welcome and took our order since we both knew what we wanted. I ordered their Korean Noodle Bowl with shrimp. It was a light and delicious meal. They did burn something in the dish but not sure what it was since everything was in one bowl but it wasn't too bad. 3/5 Stars - Server was helpful with explaining some sauces on the menu. The restaurant was clean and ready for guests. We weren't STARVING so my wife had fingers and fries and I opted for a Margarita Pizza. The pizza was just ok. A little floppier than I would've liked. My biggest reason for the lower stars though is because of another table. Two random guys yelling and cursing about politics and just being super obnoxious without any cares about who is around. This may not have been in the control of the store owners, but someone could've asked them to lower their voices or something. It was just too much. read more

After a less then stellar lunch experience, we were invited back to give it another go. This time we came in for dinner. Chose to sit inside but they have outdoor seating with a prime City Place location and views of the tree as well as the fountain. We started with the special sourdough bread. It was unbelievably good and should absolutely be on the everyday menu. We also had a cauliflower appetizer, the poke bowl and a grilled shrimp special as entrees. All were flavorful and hearty. Our server was also friendly and made for a good experience. Bathroom could be cleaner but outside of that this True Food Kitchen location redeemed itself and is worth another visit. read more

I was up in the West Palm area with my son , who is vegetarian, so we decided to have dinner here. I was not going to review because we scarfed down our food and I have no pics to show for it. The food was very good. I had the air fried chicken sandwich with a side of cheesy mashed potatoes and a glass of pinot grigio. The sandwich was delicious, I only ate half along with most of the potatoes and took the other half home. The wine was a generous pour which I also didn't finish. My son had a veggie burger which he devoured, along with a side of the cheesy mashed potatoes. The restaurant was very nice....hipster. the bathroom was clean and also really nice. A friend invited me to lunch and suggested this restaurant and it was an excellent choice! We started with the edamame dumplings and it was delicious! I have thought of it almost every day since having it. It was the perfect bite with the savory broth and the unique flavors meddling together. Can't wait to order it again. I ordered the burger and it was pretty good. You can see the quality of the ingredients through the freshness of the burger. I chose the kale salad and it was good; if you love kale then you would love this. The dessert was excellent! Too many times carrot cake is overly sweet, especially the frosting. This was light and fluffy with each bite. Our server was attentive to our needs and made sure to check in frequently, even offering her suggestions when prompted. We also was asked about our experience by the manager. I really like the brightness of the space, and its right in the heart of downtown WPB so there is ample parking, people watching and just a clean, modern vibe. The food is amazing. The service was top notch. However... I was early meeting my party so I had a drink a bar while I was waiting. I ordered a vodka martini - for $18. What I got was a glorified shot of Vodka. The martini glass was small to begin with and was only half full when it was handed to me. I asked if that was considered a full martini and the bartender (who also appeared to be questioning the size) said she guaranteed me it was 3oz. Once our party arrived and 2 other martini's were ordered from our table (against my warning) they received full glass (actually brimming) martinis! We usually love True Food Kitchen. This particular meal was not good. My daughter had the Pesto Lasagna and she enjoyed her dish. I ordered the "Air Fryer" Chicken Sandwich with fries. It was pretty bad. My sandwich and the fries were room temperature. The breading was pretty slimy and the flavor of the pickles and the sandwich itself just didn't go together. Honestly it was just sort of flavorless with a bit of spice. I wanted to love the fries, but they were cold. The dip that comes with the meal was also just off. None of the flavors seemed to complement each other. The waitress was fantastic and very sweet. She did a great job. The manager even came by a couple of times and I should have said something then! I feel that this location is one of their best. They have a really nice outdoor area where you can see the events going on at City Place or you can simply sit inside. Parking can be a challenge here on the weekend, not so much during the weekdays. Service was friendly, and the food quality was above average. All plates here are on the healthier side of things, ask all questions if you are unsure of a dish. I found pricing to be a bit high, my veg burger was a $20 starting proposition. Portion sizes varied from reasonable to somewhat lacking. Dessert options didn't do it for me or anyone else at the table, especially vegan ice cream. if you are looking for a good American restaurant with a varied menu this is probably going to do just fine. read more

Worst restaurant experience we have had in years. Food took over 45 minutes to come out and when the front of house manager, Jamie, came out with the food he was quite rude and unprofessionally blamed everything on the back of house and said he's "not in charge of what the kitchen does" multiple times. Our food came out cold and overcooked at the same time. It also came out over the course of 15 minutes, not all at the same time, AND it came out after multiple other tables (who were sat way after us) already received their food. Jamie blamed this on our party being bigger (we were 5 adults and 3 kids... one of the other tables had 6 adults) and then Jamie also threatened to take our children's food away when we stated any other restaurant would have comped part of the meal or at least tried to fix the issues. He did ultimately take some money off the bill, but not nearly enough to make up for the horrible overall experience. The restaurant was empty, which should have been a sign as the area was very busy, but we have enjoyed other locations of this restaurant in other cities. AVOID this restaurant, at least for as long as Jamie is there. I will say our server, Kai, was a sweetheart and very apologetic for the experience. Absolutely Incredible Lasagna al Pesto! I had lunch today at True Food Kitchen in West Palm Beach (700 Rosemary Ave) and ordered the Lasagna al Pesto made by Chef Wanda -- and wow, it was absolutely phenomenal! Easily one of the best dishes I've ever had there. The flavors were so fresh, creamy, and perfectly balanced. It was so good that I ordered a second one to take home for dinner -- and even convinced a random customer nearby to try it. He ordered one too and loved it just as much! They haven't been cleaning everything is dusty and dirty, the plates are scratched and disgusting, the fries had no salt and we're eating cancer fries knowing they are hard crusty not something enjoyable when you break your teeth eating them. The tables stay dirty for over 30 minutes no one is cleaning. I'm pissed I wasted my money today and I'm done. I'm never coming back to spend my money here again.
