Although I would like to settle down marriage doesn't look like its in the near horizon. How did I end up here? Well I was having lunch with some friendsand one was getting married. I was kind of a little overworked and needed a distraction. This is one side of Flushing I have never seen before, so I decided to tag along. This place will take care of everything for you for your wedding, the dresses (do you really need 9 outfits for a wedding these days?), tux, photos, limo, etc. Banquet hall you do on your own, but other than that its one stop shopping. I used to spend a lot of time with fashion people in another life and I can't say that most of the dresses are great. I heard they change their inventory often and the ones I saw was kind of too 'mainland' for my taste. I do like to look at different dresses but I'm interested in the design patterns and possibilities. They do have good service at this place and they speak English. I have the say the people were very friendly. The place was busy and the customers seem happy which is a good sign. Its not my taste but the package deal is great and will save you lots of time doing indiviudal bookings. I could of came on a bad inventory day. Now I can go back to work. Thank you True Love for your amazing job on my wedding! :) I booked True Love for my engagement photos, wedding photos and videography. The whole team was amazing, especially Chao (photographer), Joanne (manager at TL) and Tina (makeup artist). I asked for Chao based on my prior experience as a bridesmaid for my friend's wedding where he was the main photographer. My husband and I were really impressed with how our engagement and wedding photos came out. We loved how Chao focuses on the subjects and captures the moment. He's also hardworking and makes an effort to get the best shots, even when I'm complaining about how tired I am (which I really appreciated after seeing the photos!). Additionally, he was professional, prepared, hilarious and personable which put our family and friends at ease when taking photos. Our wedding party and family commented on how great of a job Chao did. Joanne was incredibly responsive, helpful, and friendly which made the experience very seamless. Tina did a wonderful job with my makeup and hair for my engagement photos. Needless to say, I highly recommend True Love. read more

True Love Wedding was amazing! They really worked with my budget and were absolutely professional and on top of it the day of the wedding. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to reassure them time and time again that there would be plenty of time to take my family photos after the ceremony while the guests were at the Cocktail hour. I didn't want to do any first looks with my husband and they almost pressured me to in order to make sure there was enough time for photos. I was recommeded to this place and I have to say, I will NEVER recommend it to anyone else. Joanne who was the boss signed the contract with us 2 years ago. She asks us to put down $500 deposit to reserve a photographer she recommended as the best photographer she has. However, 1 year later, she told us that the photographer has bad attitude so she fired him, which is understandable. who wants to deal with a photographer who can't work with bride and groom on their big day. Then, she asks us to go in and choose another one. We went and pick 1 of 2 she recommends. After few weeks, she told as as we stop by, not even call to let us know, the one we picked is not available. At this time, I am wonder, why do I put down $500 deposit to reserve a photographer you can't even get me. 4 weeks prior to wedding, we went in and talk to her to nail down all the details. She recommends us to go in and do make up at 1pm on the wedding day. I ask her "how long does this whole process take for 1 bride and 3 bride's maid?" Joanne told me " 2 hr max sometimes 1 and 1/2 hr" So, we reserve the time from 1pm to 3pm as make up time and also the 330pm for photographer and 4pm for limo pick up. This way, we will have time to go home and get dress since the catering hall is only 10 mins away from home. Then, I spoke to my catering hall manager and realized I actually dont have to arrive at the wedding hall till 5pm, So, I called Joanne and informed her to move the photographer and limo-pick up time half hour later. 1 week prior to wedding, I went for a make up trial with Coco, who is really helpful and professional. She check my make up schedule on the wedding day and told me "you need to come in early else you wont be able to leave at 3pm" So, we end up going in at 1230pm. However, it still takes more than 3 hr to finish everyone's make up and hair. When we were getting our make up, photographer and Limo has already arrive my home to wait for us at 330pm. My husband received many calls from limo company who threaten to charge us extra if we keep delaying. At this point, I had realized that Joanne has never move the pick up time half hour later as we spoke on the phone earlier. Time is so pressure because all the wrong estimation. If Joanne has never told us that make up only take no more than 2 hr and do her job to correct the limo pick up time. We would have more time to take pictures and leave some precious moment. Besides her unprofessional attitude and wrong information provided, I have to say Coco, the makeup designer is very helpful. The photographer and videographer Tommy is also professional. This is just a very unpleasant experience with them and one more thing to say, we didnt' get our groom and groom's man tux till the wedding day. The groom's tux has never even been tried on to fixed till few hour before wedding. Now, you can see why we are not happy about their service. I will never ever recommend them to anyone. read more

True Love Wedding Studio is a great choice for photography and dress rentals. I mainly worked with Cindy and she was so helpful in answering any questions and very responsive. Tina was our makeup artist and really took the care and time to make sure we all looked beautiful. Tony was our photographer and he captured so many great moments! The engagement and wedding photos came out beautiful. Their selection of wedding dresses was really great - I couldn't choose one so I wore three dresses (one for ceremony, one for reception and a Chinese dress). The location is great too since I always find parking there and the studio just got a renovation. I am so happy that I picked this studio and have recommended to many friends! read more

The dress department service is appalling. First of all, the dept. only selects three dresses (at most) for you and claim it is all they have in your size They state that a size is "unpopular" so they don't have many dresses in that size. Fellow brides who had also used that service were size 0s, 2s, 8s and 10s. How are any of those sizes not popular ? I have been there to select dresses for outside, studio and wedding day pictures. TL has the same story each time I had to go there for a dress, which is new dresses are arriving so I should wait. However, they "forget" to mention there is a $150 surcharge to even try on the dress let alone rent it. They write down notes for your bridesmaids' dresses that turns out completely useless. For example, a friend had selected her bridal party dresses, informed the dress department, and then almost one month away from her wedding, finds out they forgot to book the dresses for her wedding. I have had a bridesmaid who had to go there three times because they constantly kept getting her measurements wrong.How hard is it to measure how long the dress is on a person? The worst I've heard is when a friend, who needed a wedding gown for her pictures, had the dress department completely ignoring her even though there were no customers. TL's pictures were great but the dress experience makes the whole wedding process extremely stressful. read more

My fiancé and I LOVE this wedding studio. Joanne, Tina, and Chao have been so helpful though out this entire planning process. We did our engagement photos with Chao in September and even though it's only supposed to be a 2 hour session, he spent SIX hours with us. He took the best pictures for us and we're so happy with how they came out. Tina has done my hair/make up trial, engagement photos, and will do them for me/bridesmaids/moms on my wedding day. I love their style and she makes me look like a princess every time. Joanne has been very helpful with all my questions and she helped us get a great price (because I was a referral). We recommend true love to anyone that wants to save time and money. They are phenomenal. We cant wait till our wedding in April! read more

went back recently to pick out my dress for the pictures while I was there i wanted to get fitted and do as much as possible because i don't live in Queens. i made an appt but the customer before me i dunno if she had an appt but she was totally over my scheduled time...then she picked the qipao that i wanted... THEN even more ridiculous was that there was a new girl who helped me tried on my dress n then it was too big she said i think you have to pick a new dress...THE DRESS WAS THE REASON I picked you guys... This place overbooks bridal parties for makeup and hair. It is terrible because they rush you out and do not do such a great job. They do not clean the brushes after they use them because they are so overbooked and rushed. I saw this happen when the next bridal party came in. The makeup artist did not clean any brushes. I didn't say anything at the time since they were running late so I just wanted to get out. But after the wedding I broke out terribly. Also the hair/makeup people are just unprofessional and rude. They talk about other customers while they are there. I would not recommend this place. read more

What you pay is what you get! For my daughter's one year old birthday, we wanted to make it more memorable and take her to get her photos professional taken. What a bad mistake! True Love completely ruined it! They knew that we will be bringing in a ONE year old baby for the photo shoot and they were NOT prepared AT ALL! The so-called "studio" where my baby had to take her photos was completely FREEZING! The studio was inside Flushing Mall and were just made up for 4 walls that didnt even reach the ceiling. They used 2 electric radiator that did absolutely NOTHING for my freezing baby. Imagine using 2 electric heaters to warm up the entire Flushing Mall (if you ever been to Flushing Mall). We as adults who had on jackets already had our nose running and dripping and nevertheless, my baby was completely uncomfortable at the photoshoot and she even came down with a really bad cold afterwards. The photographer probably had little to non experience dealing with babies and we were just so uncomfortable during the entire photoshoot. The pictures did not come out the way we wanted. The props, background and posing were horrible. Pictures came out so horrible that I never even went back to pick up my 8x10 photos. Truly disappointed as we went on the exact day of baby's 1 year old birthday. True Love ruined this memory and it can never be created again. read more

me and my fiance decided to choose TL after comparing some other wedding photo teking studio. the price they offered was pretty fair, the thing I like was they will give u back all the photos that u took nomatter u will choose it for the album or not. their bridal dresses and gowns are pretty(but i cant fit into it..kinda sad) we took our outdoor pic last monday, although the photographer is new(he said he has have at least 10 yrs of exp of photo shooting)he's profession and his assistant is pretty funny, they can make u really enjoy the whole process of photo shooting the only thing i deduct one star(since yelp doesn't have halk star) is sales in TL are kinda sloppy, seems like they don't really care whether u want to deal with them. but overall, it's a fun exp to take photo in TL btw, for those ppl who wants to take photo there, make sure comfirm all dates with make up and photographers and choose ur dridal dresses before u take photos(remember to ask them to mark down ur name and ur preferred dresses) read more

Although i am a frequent user of yelp, this my first yelp review. I feel compelled to write for true love because they were really top notch. I was referred to true love by my sister and a number of my other friends who were happy customers. I was married two months ago and went to pick up my pictures and video yesterday and was so pleased with the finished product. In fact, the whole process with true love was so easy. The girls who work there are really helpful and sweet (and honest about what looks good and what doesn't). Tina, who did my hair and makeup for both my wedding and engagement shots, was wonderful to work with. On the day of my wedding, the limo driver for whatever reason told us that he was leaving after dropping us off for touch ups before the reception, and wasn't coming back. I told Joanne, who went to work immediately, and there was another limo waiting for us when we were done with touch ups to bring us to our reception. We loved the way our pictures and video came out and we are so glad we picked true love! read more

We had photos taken of our daughter for her 100 day and were very pleased with the service and product. The owner, Chau, seems to really care about making his customers happy and was patient and accommodating. He even allowed us to come back for an additional session to get more photos taken as our baby was tired and upset during our original appointment. Joanne took the time to sit down with me and explain everything and answered all my questions. We coordinated with Cindy (via email) who was very nice and Jason was our photographer. Jason was very funny and gave me lots of tips to look and feel my best on the day. We just booked our wedding package with TL after various visits and comparisons with other studios in Flushing. We looked at Yelp for reviews and asked around trying to find the one. Finally we decided to go with TL, reason that we picked was overall this place is top quality in the area in our opinion, based on service, quality of work, years of experience, and impressions with staff and store. Their price is not the cheapest compare to Flushing wedding studios, but still reasonable. Cindy was the girl that served us, which very glad that we met on our first visit, and she also followed up with us several times. She was always very friendly and always with a smile. I felt very comfortable working with her, and that's also one of the reasons we picked this place. They're not pushy at all, and have very good customer service. The only drawback is that since their location had just moved, it's a bit further from my wedding banquet, but other than that, we're satisfied with everything so far. We'll be back sometime in April 2014 to take our pre-wedding pictures, and our wedding is in June. I'll have an update then. After visiting a few place we decided to go with True Love mainly based on the photographer's style and recommendations from past experiences of friends/family. We worked closely with Tony and Cindy for our July 4th wedding with a package deal, which includes engagement shot, hair & makeup, rental tux and dress, wedding photography & videography, wedding album, and very happy with the result. People in True Love are professional, experienced, and easy to work with. Cindy patiently helped the clueless me to find a style that fit me, made critical wardrobe decisions, and literally hold mind hand throughout the whole process. Tony is the coolest photographer, he is so chill and open for room of creativity. We simply love how he is able to capture all the right moments. In addition, we are pleasantly surprise with the wedding video, especially the way they edit it is simple and sweet. The only reason we didn't give them a five is because they have limited selections on men's rental tux and sizes; husband has been complaining of how odd he looks like in the oversizing cloth. He wish he could have the right information and expectation before the shoot. So if you have your own set of favorite cloth, feel free to bring them for the photo shoot. The bottom line is True Love is good at what they are doing, and we are highly recommend it. read more

this is a bit of a delayed review, but i have to say that true love was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Joanne, Cindy, and Yvonne all helped me a great deal throughout the whole process, from trying on dresses to figuring out the wedding day schedule. Tina was my hair and makeup artist and i have to say she is amazing. she spends a lot of time with the bride and makes sure that the bride stands out. last but not least, Tony was my photographer. I loved that the photos all seemed natural and not completely photoshopped like some of the other flushing wedding studios (which i will not name). the photos all looked great, that i had a really hard time deciding which ones to enlarge for the signature scroll and the wedding day enlargement. i do have to say that they are on the pricier side compared to some other locations, but we felt it was worth it to pay the extra money for better service and quality. i even recommended true love to a lot of my friends who are getting married as well! read more

Joanne was a great help. She made sure everything ran smoothly. She was attentive and answered any questions we had related to our wedding day. Can't say enough of the exceptional job that the True Love team did for our wedding. They were extremely attentive, responsive and produced amazing photos/videos for our wedding in Oct 2015. From the beginning consultation to engagement shoot to pre wedding prep to day of wedding and post wedding, Cindy and her team were extremely diligent. We spent the extra for Chao and he is worth every penny and might be the hardest working on site photographer ever. Produced some amazing shots and was extremely fun to work with in person. They were probably the best "vendor" of our entire wedding and definitely recommending them to our friends and family. They are a little bit more than your typical asian wedding studio but totally worth the price for the quality of service and end product you will receive. My sister in law recommended True Love so I checked out their website and was absolutely in love with the photos! I emailed Joanne and met her the following weekend. I was engaged in August and our wedding was in November of 2015. Timing was tight and we scheduled our engagement photoshoot the following month in Dumbo. Joanne showed us all of the previous locations that other couples had photo shoots which really helped us pick our location. The service was amazing and Joanne is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Tony was our photographer and he was perfect. He knew exactly what to do and how to position us. Tina was my makeup artist and hair stylist. She made me feel amazing and confident. TL also supplied my beautiful gown for the engagement photoshoot. They have an extensive list of dresses and tuxedos to choose from, including Chinese dresses for tea ceremonies. Towards the wedding date, Cindy always had prompt replies, answering my many questions. True Love did everything perfectly! We were lucky to have them for our celebration! read more

I got my wedding photo package at True Love when I got married back in 2003. I was very happy with the service. I had returned to the place to have family photo done in 2009 and 2010 and was quite pleased with the service as well. However, when I returned again for the 2011 family photos, things went south. The photographer Jason appeared not wanting to be there. He took the minimum # of shots. I specifically asked for more shots of my child and a total of 5 were taken out of 20. I requested for a rush on the proofs and was promised they will be ready the next week. Nothing was ready. Majority of the ladies that work there now appear indifferent to customer needs. Emails and phone calls don't get returned. The place appears to be under new management or ownership because I don't see any familiar faces. Maybe this is part of the reason for the decline in customer service. read more

I have worked with True Love for almost a year and I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions I had made during my entire wedding planning process. The people at True Love are truly attentive, professional, and knowledgeable. This is a rare find, especially amongst all the wedding businesses in the NYC metro area. After visiting almost all of the wedding studios in Flushing and Chinatown, I was sold by Cindy's 'non-salesy' and consultative approach. Unlike other sales associates, she actually listened to my questions and concerns, explained the packages thoroughly and was very flexible in customizing a package that was appropriate for me. Over the past few months, I learned that Cindy was talented and helpful in so many ways! From sales to consulting on which dress I should pick, to actually tailoring my 3 dresses, to providing advice on my hairstyles and actually helping my bridesmaids do hair and make-up the day of.. she did it all! and most important, all with a pretty smile. I don't think that I could have pulled off an amazing wedding without Cindy! my wedding was June 13 2009 i booked package for 2 parent albums an enlarged photo with frame a video and a large main photo album. its going to be 4 years i have only received 2 parent albums and large photo with frame. I'm still missing my main album and video. I have had to fight with this company more specifically Lawrence wen the guy who i booked everything threw and then he took my money and i have seen s@#% for it. this place is terrible never ever go there. i didn't want to give this place any stars but it wont allow me to post unless i choose at least one star. read more

I didn't booked any of their package so I do not know the quality. The rating is for their service and that's why I didn't choose them, eve thou they will given a 15-20% discount. The minute me and my husband walked in, we were greeted by the receptionist, and was told to sit down and wait. At that time there were no other customer, we are the only one. The staffs / sales were walking by few times, staring at us but non of them come serve us. After 10 min, we decided to leave, the time we walk out, the receptionist finally ask one of the staff to show us the photo and package. I just don't want to be rude, so we sat down. During the whole time, we couldn't get the date settle cus their photographers are all booked. Not once but many time, we were told that it depends on what package we choose so that they can give me the date. Anyway, not happy with their attitude and hot selling. You will see their smile once you ask about the expensive package and their face turn back when you look at the cheaper one. read more

Five years ago We hired True Love wedding studio for our wedding photos, essentially the most incredible time in our lives and a time we want to remember forever. Now we hire them every year for family photo shoot with our kids. We wanted artistic, elegant, and meaningful. We got all of that and more with True Love. Charles Chao was an amazing photographer and their incredible hair/makeup artist were professional, kind, and down to earth. We couldn't be happier! i used them for my pre-wedding picture last may, video and limo on july for my wedding. they have a nice and funny photographer(jason). i love the make up and the person(miki), she is really nice to us. we got the proof album and cd around 3 weeks later with a lot of nice picture and around 2 months, we got a really nice album. we are happy with the album but we'r still waiting for the video. and we will recommend them to anybody. read more
