We rode Klondyke and Syracuse trails before heading out for food. The trails flowed very nice and there wasn't a lot of climbing. The trails here are also adaptive so they can be ridden by everyone, they are wider for easier passing or wider bikes. I can't wait to come back and check out the other trails on this unit. Love this area of Minnesota and it's only getting better! Crosby and Ironton are making northern Minnesota the place to be.

It was vegan, and I can't quite pinpoint what the spices were, but it was so tasty. Very savory. They also have a great supply of bikes and biking supplies to meet all of your needs when hitting the trails. If you're coming up to bike Cayuna, you have to stop at red Raven.

It was definitely fun, but we also got a great workout! We pedaled over 5 miles on the trail, which was fairly level, but certainly did have some inclines and declines. I was in Brainerd one day and found Easy Riders was close by. I talked to Chuck who is a FANTASTIC salesman, not pushy at all. He was very knowledgeable and listened to all my pre-requisites that I was looking for in an E-Bike. He was able to zero in on the Trek Allant 7+ that fit all of my needs. Especially, the tires that work with gravel roads. One of the modifications I made was to swap out the bike seat for the best one ever - the Cloud.Lastly, of course I needed a bike rack for EBikes and he showed me two possibilities. Being a woman, the first choice (although cheaper), just was bit too complicated for me. I purchased the fold-up Thune bike rack. Chuck was very thorough showing my husband and I how to mount and dismount the rack from the 2" receiver. We secured the Ebike and drove back up north and the Ebike didn't move an inch. My husband was very impressed that the rack with the bike easily fold down to access the back of the truck and lower the tailgate. The rack folded right up and with the wheels was easy to store in the garage.I have been able to take 2 rides on our back country roads; one a 4 mile and one an 8 mile and I wasn't all achy and sore because I had turbo assistance when climbing the hills. You can watch people walking across the Mississippi River from the boat launch area. Here they have a double wide launch ramp. You can launch your own watercraft or rent here. This place is not just a rental place. When you walk in here, they have a LOT of things that you may need in the park to fish, fix your bike and lots of other things for the camping/active life. The staff here seem seasoned and they can get you in and out in a short period of time. They were informative and polite. You can rent all kinds of things here from bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, pontoon boats, 2 person peddle boats and more. They have all of the equipment that you will need in the park. I would check here before running to town. The rental time starts when you sign the paperwork so if there are any delays, make sure they reset your start time. This lake is beautiful, we saw so much wildlife from swans, loons, bald eagles, fish jumping and the beauty that a wooded tranquil lake in Minnesota can provide. You DO NOT need a fishing license in Minnesota if you are fishing on a lake that is completely inside a state park. - FYI. I uploaded a bunch of photos and then realized I had run over my roaming limit so I may have more photos to share. I hope that you enjoy my review, the pictures or come up and enjoy the park!! You can rent a kayak and paddle over to the mouth of the Mississippi in minutes. This lake is also larger than you think it is. If you have a motored boat, you can find many hiding spots for good fishing. The fish were biting and very quick and easy for kids to fish here. The lake is plentiful. If you have small children, you may have to not fish and just take small fish off their line and bait the hook over and over again. They sell off their bikes on labor day each year if you need another bike. They also have Wi-Fi to get your digital fix. Enjoy yourself and wear your life jacket. Be safe out there. They also have FREE Air for your camper tires or bike tires!!

Affordable and well-run, even on a low-occupancy Monday. They even provided free firewood at the tent site. Be sure to check out their cabins. They look really cute and comfy. Only downside, tenting, is that due to Hwy 6 construction, lots of detour traffic goes right by Red Rider. Kinda noisy, but didn't disturb my sleep after 7 hours pounding the Cuyuna Bike Trails!
