They had left the home dirty for a WEEK, because they waited to clean it until a few hours before the next guest and there was no booking that week. Needless to say, this was a DISASTER waiting to happen - if a guest had booked a same-day check in on any day that week, they would have showed up to a dirty home. Incredibly, when I contacted Tampa Bay Spotless and (very politely) told them that the home needed to be cleaned on check out days to avoid this disastrous situation, they INSTANTLY responded "other Airbnb owners trained us to do it this way. We don't want to work with you" No even a single bit of discussion just an instant "You don't like your home being left dirty for a week at a time as a ticking time-bomb? He contacted us right away, stayed in contact with us while we waited for the closing (which changed and he worked us into his schedule), let us know when he was coming and showed up on time. He cleaned all of the grout by hand with with a brush, sealed it with a brush, and mopped all of the tile after and left NO residue anywhere. He showed us how and what to use to clean the floors so that the seal will last longer. It is now December and let me tell you that the seal has been tested by dogs (vomit and urine) and Grandkids (spilling juices, milk, etc. and dropping sauces, etc.) and everything has cleaned up with no trace in the grout anywhere. They lived up to their great reviews, from the initial contact phone call all the way to the conclusion of the installation of my new unit. Derek, the estimate technician who arrived at my home on April 23rd, was knowledgeable and addressed my questions and offered options. He was at my home for over two hours! He offered me several options, without pressuring me, simply explaining the benefits of each option. His willingness to explore my request to remove current water outflow pipe that had been on the garage floor for decades, presenting a safety risk, and route it another way outside was taken seriously and creatively. He took me through the plan and I was so pleased. The technicians who arrived the next day to do the install, Gary, James and Kauntes, were excellent workers. Gary was in charge and went over the plan with me in detail. He was able to troubleshoot a few issues and get the job done! All three of them were courteous and, without being asked, applied shoe coverings every time they entered the house. They cleaned up after themselves. Gary kept me apprised of their progress. They began working at approximately 9:15 am and did not leave my house until 6:15 pm. Turns out the light came back on about 6 months later (for a service that should be annual). This time, we called VentSmart. Dryer vents are ALL they do. One price for a vent on the side of the house, another if the dryer vents to the roof. Wayne was super friendly and pleasant. He dispatched Chris in short order. Chris was even friendlier and worked hard to get the job done right. That first "Vent Cleaning" service never checked the roof, just "cleaned" from our air-conditioned laundry room. Chris got up there and removed a HUGE chunk of lint (attached pic), then high-speed brushed from top AND bottom. There was no BS, no trying to sell other services, no surprises with the cost. Just thoroughly cleaned the house vent, the vent in the dryer, and all around the dryer seals. Then cleaned up everything behind him. Professional, super nice, and a very reasonable price. Upon answering the phone Bruno was so nice. Other companies I called seemed to want the business part of it and once they couldn't help me that was it. I had a 5x7 shaggy rug and a lot of competitors had stipulations and could not help me. I was starting to get irritated and thought I was going to have to buy a new rug (I spilled crab juice on it) but Bruno was so kind to help me. He even came to me to clean the rug which I knew no one would do. He went above and beyond AND he was affordable! I am satisfied with the end result of my rug and it looks brand new!
