I could barely open my mouth to eat a piece of toast and I was skipping meals, it was miserable. My dentist sent me to Dr. Phillips and after a check up, she said she could help me with no surgery, some physical therapy and exercises I could do at home. I bought all of the supplements she suggested and did what I was told. Here I am 6 months later and I'm good as new. Jaw pain is gone, headaches and ear issues are all gone. I eat now without even thinking about my jaw. No, it turns out my insurance wouldn't cover it, but it doesn't matter, it was worth every penny (insurance did cover physical therapy though). I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The huge improvement in my quality of life was worth it. Dr. Phillips and her entire staff are caring, thoughtful and truly want to help people. Thank you.

After just a few minutes of talking with their staff, I knew this was the right place for me. The initial phone call was very pleasant. They spent quite a bit of time asking about my symptoms, pain, and history. Probably 15 minutes of "getting to know me", which felt very nice. They explained that even though most insurance providers don't pay for this kind of care they would still be willing to submit the claims on my behalf. They also gave me a price range that I would likely be within which really helps avoid "sticker shock". When I arrived for my appointment, there was barely any waiting before I was asked to come in and begin the consultation and testing. Extremely friendly and patient staff! After the CT scans, they spent about 20 minutes sitting with me and asking detailed questions to help "fine tune" the information for Dr. Phillips. Dr. Phillips spent almost a full hour with me which is practically unheard of in today's (Houston) medical practices. This was quite welcome. She took the time to show me how my scans differed from a baseline (normal) scan, explained the muscle groups involved and was even able to determine how my TMJ progressed in the way it did. She explained what was happening with my jaw during the night provided a treatment plan along with a full explanation on how the plan progresses. She made me feel very confident my issues could be resolved. After that, their staff sat with me and went over exercises that would help my jaw muscles. Provided detailed explanations on the procedures, and where to go if I forgot any of the steps. Overall, I felt very well treated. Each member of the staff I interacted with was extremely professional, had a lot of knowledge, and seemed genuinely concerned for me. Normally I leave doctor offices with questions that never got answered (or ones I forgot to ask) but that wasn't the case with this place. I left with no questions whatsoever. It was a very pleasant experience and I wold definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

I had to leave a message, but no one called me back. After the weekend, I called again and was the 10th caller, but I waited (over 30 minutes) and got down to being the 2nd caller when a message came on that "due to high volume...leave a message". It even says that if you're calling from a cell phone, you will receive a text and you can communicate that way. Never got the text or a call. The next day, I called again and was the 9th caller (waited over 30 min, again). Got down to being the 3rd caller when I got the same message as before. Left my message and still received no text or a call. I have pulmonary fibrosis and was in the hospital and told I needed to see a pulmonologist. I was sent home with oxygen (thank goodness), but now I can't get a doctor. This office needs a complete makeover so they can properly take care of patients. I am trying to get a referral to someone else, but that's another story! From the looks of some other reviews, I'm not getting a warm, fuzzy feeling about this group anyway. I'm sure most of the doctors in this group are good, but the staff (appointment desk in particular) is worthless! If I could give below 5 stars, I would!!!

I did the pre-check in online and figured there would be little to no paperwork to do when I arrived however that wasn't the case. No big deal. My appointment was for 0900. I completed the paperwork and sat down and waited to be called back. Waited for literally one hour because I heard his assistant telling other patients how busy the doctor is and things are running behind schedule. Finally at 1000 I've had enough and I go back up to the desk to tell his assistant that I've been waiting for an hour and she realized that they "forgot" about me. I tell her I'm leaving at this point and I want them to refund my copay which I paid in advance during the check-in process and she tells me that she will give me a number to call. I tell her I'm not calling any number as they've wasted my time prepping for the appointment, driving there and sitting in the waiting room for over an hour. He may be a great doctor but I wouldn't know because his staff sucks.

Overpriced, unqualified, and unprofessional, bad experience from a shoddy, little company…read more 1. Overpriced because they're 2/3 MORE than my doctor's second referral for comparable equipment, with much worse service. 2. Unqualified because: a) the alleged respiratory therapist who called me unexpectedly was unfamiliar with the controls of the CPAP device that her own company provided; b) she was unfamiliar with the industry-standard functionality behind those controls (reducing flow during exhalations); c) This person wasn't even listening in the first half of the call, ignoring my words such as "quite a bit of bloody mucus" and "hurt too much to leave on more than 20 minutes" - just no response at all, only silence. I know multi-tasking when I hear it. d) In the second half of the call, she merely read word-for-word the cleaning instructions I'd already been provided; e) She never mentioned my sleep test, therapy goals and metrics, how the data would be used. She left me with no next steps other than "your doctor's office will be in touch". (My new provider assigned follow-up person and made sure I understood the timetables for a true therapy program, not just a machine delivery.) 3. Unprofessional because: a) they first scheduled me on a day when the company doesn't work (Friday), no choice for the patient. b) The alleged therapist dismissed it with "that wouldn't have happened because I don't work on Fridays". Better response would have been "I'm sorry that happened and I took you by surprise, I'll look into that." c) The phone staff let me die on five minutes hold waiting for a supervisor, then refused to answer when I re-dialed. Their phones ring for a solid two minutes before the answering machine comes on, meaning they intentionally discourage callers.

I called back and was told I would not need to pay anything. I knew this was wrong. Several calls later and days later I'm told it's over 1k and when I inquired if that would be the final bill, I was told yes and that I would not be paying for the service upfront but would be billed afterwards. Imagine my surprise when I arrived to the facility and am told I have to pay upfront. I paid and received a receipt but no bill or paperwork detailing the procedure. Staff told me to call day shift to get the itemized bill. I did just that. I was then told to call hospital billing. Hospital billing told me the account number on my receipt from the sleep center did not exist in their system. I was transferred to professional billing who told me they had no account for me. Then transferred back to hospital billing who then gave me a phone number. I called that number and it's no longer in service. I called the sleep lab back and am given the run around again. Beyond the complete lack of organization of the billing system and representatives, the actual sleep study itself did not go well. My techs were kind but disorganized. I had to explain twice (to each tech separately) that I was not there for CPAP testing but rather a diagnostic test. I had to call twice to get hooked up to my machine. The bed was uncomfortable, lots of light coming from the doorway, and very little sound proofing. The set up with the wires was not great either and took longer than expected. It has been an awful experience thus far.

I had a very positive experience due to Jake Sexton, RPSGT, who made me feel comfortable during my study. He explained the process and all the details for my overnight stay. I appreciated his easy professional way of helping me understand what to expect during the night. He was immediately available when I call for him to assist me. I would recommend the facility to anyone. The facility was clean, and I had the basic items I needed for the stay. I was told ahead of time what I should bring with me. The only thing I didn't like was walking into the building (7:pm) from the parking lot in the dark and out (6am) at night. The parking lot lights were on, few cars and somewhat deserted. I would recommend this be considered when scheduling an appointment at this facility. I would have had someone drop me off and pick me up.
