So off the bat everyone seems pretty nice... The owner is eager to please as long as it is at his convenience. I started going here after I saw some of the reviews and I needed a new nail parlor. My 1st time going he wanted to make sure I was a return customer, HOWEVER I was there early for my appt and I was made to wait for 15 minutes. When I went to pay they had signs that said "tip accepted in cash only" I thought that was pretty tacky and showed they weren't very honest b/c if there is no record I doubt they would claim that as part of their income. So made me wonder what else they weren't being so truthful about. My next visit I was 10 minutes late and he made an entire scene. I informed him that he made me wait 10 minutes last time so we're even now. He rushed through my nails I had rough ends and when I asked him to fix it he sighed and said "that will come off itself" again I asked him to fix it and he did so reluctantly. I went and got a new set and they continued to try and use tools that were used on someone else! Like nail files!!! Under Washington law it states: WAC 308-20-110 Sanitation/disinfecting. (a) All tools and implements must be sanitized and disinfected or disposed of after service on each client. Tools and implements not approved for disinfection and reuse under manufacturers' specifications must be given to the client or discarded after service on each client. These tools and implements include, but are not limited to: Nail files, cosmetic make-up sponges, buffer blocks, sanding bands, toe separators or sleeves, orangewood sticks, and disposable nail bits. Presence of used articles in the work area will be considered prima facie evidence of reuse. READ UP OWNER!!! I will not be returning to do the rude nature and the unsanitary practice. read more

The only reason I give this place 2 stars is because Mindy was so sweet. My experience started out really nicely, I got a pedicure and was pretty happy with it until she put this red tint clear on the part of my French pedicure which wasn't the tip. I did not like that but I said the hell with it I'll go with the flow. Then I relaxed and watched tv while I let my toes dry. Then in took a turn for the worst when the man ran me up for 27 dollars for a normal basic pedicure. I didn't get any special treatments ( nor was I offered the treatments) and proceeded to ask me where I normally go and I told him a place in mill creek and he laughed and said wow that place has gone down hill. I do not like places that bad mouth other salon and I thought it was very unprofessional. Definitely will not be going back because for 27 I can get a way better pedi for that price. read more

I love getting my nails done here. Such great work. I brought my mom whom is in wheel chair and they made accommodations for her and spent extra time massaging her swollen feet. They were so kind and courteous and remembered her for a 2nd visit. We got mom a French manicure next visit and she was so tickled. High marks for outstanding customer service!! read more

Best nail spot in snohomish. Even though I go months in between services, they know my name and remember details about my last visit. Every time is a very thorough job and the equipment appears very sanitary. Prices are great and a bonus is the little kid pedicure chair. That's what originally got me going to this location. I have been going here regulaly for years and loved the friendly atmosphere and the mani/pedis. Unfortunately in the last few months the service and friendliness has been lacking. It has gotten so busy that everything is rushed and therefore the quality suffers. I had started making appts because of how busy they were. Saturday's were the worst, one Saturday I was in at 4, the male owner told me that nobody had had a break all day. Everything was very rushed and not relaxing. So I tried Friday for my next appt. I scheduled a polish change and pedi, no improvement... I didn't get the pedi, no explanation, just didn't give it to me. I paid $38 for a polish change and it chipped on Sunday, I left with not only the wrong shaped nails they were raggedy. I scheduled an appt for that next Thursday (soonest I could get there) by then 4 of my nails had chipped. The tech was very sorry and spoke to the female owner while she was in the backroom and did my polish change for $15, it turned out ok. The kicker that has me changing salons is the owner came out from the back room and said hello to the woman next to me but not me. It was rude and I won't go back, nor will my daughter when she's visiting, granddaughters and my husband who goes regularly. They have gotten too big and have forgotten about the people who were there when they weren't so busy. read more

I took my two daughters here to get nails done before a wedding! They were able to fit us in at the last minute and did a wonderful job! They were kind, patient and friendly and took their time and did a good job! I got an eyebrow touch up afterwards, and it was done well. They atmosphere was pleasant and it was clean. We will come back again if we are in the area! I highly recommend them! BTW They take credit cards, but tips need to be in cash though the bill did have a place for tips. They were reasonably priced, but not cheap. They had a good selection of quality colors. We all liked this place! read more

So I went back in this morning to have my gel nail polish fixed/redone. I told them the polish started cracking horribly within hours of them being done on Sunday. Automatically the man said I chipped them myself because they don't do that. I was extremely offended and taken back by his response. I showed him that they were in fact cracking and had not been "chipped off" He asked me if I wanted the same color and I said yes but in case the cracking had something to do with that particular bottle of polish I did not want that same exact one. I sat down and went through the colors and settled with one that was similar. At this point anything looked better than all the horrible cracks. I would have considered going back but the way I was treated and accused of chipping them myself was totally uncalled for!!! This was our first time here since we read all the reviews so we thought we would try it, what you ask for and what they understand are two different things. Both my daughter and I went here and what started out as good ended in broken lines on nail design, bubbles in our nail color, nail polish not covering completely over both our nails. If I could rate this business zero stars I would. I went into this salon, with a friend, to get a full set a few months ago and when I explained what I wanted (clear tips with a french polish, squared with rounded corners), the guy told me I was being "difficult", I thought he was just teasing me, and so I laughed it off, and let him do my nails, when he was finished I was satisfied with the work, even though I had to remind him what I wanted several times, so I paid him his fee, plus a tip. My friend and I returned again for a fill, thinking I'd try something a little different and he suggested adding sparkles to my tips, so I agreed, and again he called me "difficult". He finished the job, and I paid him and tipped him again (I always tip my nail technicians, it's just a habit). The sparkles made it look like I always had dirt on my nails, so I removed them and redid my french polish on my own, as to not be so "difficult" to the technician. When it was time to go in for a fill again, two of my nails had broken, so I called him and asked how much it would cost to get each nail fixed and he said it would be $3 each, but if i came down there that day he would do it for free, so my friend and I went down to the salon and to get our fills, and when we got there, he said he was "too busy and couldn't help us." We were really in need of our fills and my friend had a very busy schedule, plus it was the only free time we had from our kids, so we said "ok" and we decided to go somewhere else just this once. The next time my friend and I needed our fills, she went back to True Touch without me because I was really sick, and when she came back she told me how the guy who usually does my nails was not only talking to her about how "difficult" I was, but was talking to all the other customers about how "difficult" I was, and when the other clients started engaging and asking if I was one of "those" people, my friend said she tried to explain that I just like my nails a certain way, but the guy wanted to make it "known" how difficult I was. I do not think that telling your nail technician what you want your nails to look like it being difficult. You are paying someone to do a job, and anybody should expect it to be a job that they would approve of. I have been getting my nails done for almost 15 years, and I've never had a technician call me difficult. Let alone bad mouth me. If you're looking for a nail salon that is respectful of their clients wishes and doesn't try to take liberties with their work, I would NOT recommend True Touch Nails and Spa. read more
