Had a massage recently by Amy! She is new to the Spa, so they were offering a discount off her services so I took full advantage of this. I booked a 60 minute and wish I did a 90 minute instead! The spa itself was clean, very calm and relaxing. It is located in downtown Snohomish with easy parking. Outside of the spa is a covered patio, where I took a moment to breathe in the fresh air after my massage was over. They also had a mini fridge with beverages like coconut water or sparkling water. Solid 5 stars! I have to say the pictures online were causing me to hesitate, I was almost picturing some old woman's house Couldn't quite tell what the vibe was. I was relieved in person that it had that nice calm spa feel. I did a facial with Shannon. She was so attentive and really took the time to get to know me, my skin, and what I was looking for in the service. We easily went over my hour limit! She also incorporated massage into the facial which was a nice surprise. My pores looked amazing and my skin was so super hydrated! Loved the service. I plan to come back for a derma plane, and also their sauna sounds nice! Okay all their massages sound nice and I'm really happy with the quality so this will be my go-to for sure. If you are looking for a beautiful and calm spa where you feel pampered then this is for you. Nestled along side downtown Snohomish is this hidden gem. Relaxation is their goal and I feel they meet it. I was pleasantly surprised to see complimentary snacks and beverages. Massage rooms are good size but please take note they are not entirely private and noise between curtains carry. It is encouraged to whisper only. As someone who requested a deep tissue massage I did not recieve that. I did however feel very relaxed and well taken care of as far as everything else. There was no communication on speed or pressure but as a first timer I was there to test the waters. read more

Got micro derm abrasion and it was a lovely experience. Will be going back. The location is a bit hidden, but nothing you cant figure out.

It's been a while since I have been there , but I was not a huge fan of the open concept ,felt like at any moment someone could just come through the sheet. I need a more private space. Also makes me feel more secure. Did not like the feet scrub being separated from massage. No one wants to get up and have to move across the way for the massage. Trust the Yelp reviews. This place is incredible. I just got home from a "Vitality Spa Treatment" with Charie. It is hands-down the best spa experience I have ever had. I'm a mother of 3 and am used to taking care of others all day long so I often feel awkward receiving treatments. Charie made me feel welcomed and comfortable immediately. She quietly explained the components of the package and after changing into their soft robe, I was off on the blissful journey. Starting with a foot treatment is genius. It took me from my usually frenetic go-go-go-all-day self to ahhhhhh in a matter of minutes. I was initially concerned that the curtains separating the treatment rooms would mean I could hear other practitioners and patrons talking. Fortunately for me, only one other person came in and they politely kept their voice low and talking to a minimum. Prior to the massage, Charie asked me my pressure preference and I basically said "bring it", meaning deep pressure to the max. Bring it she did! My rock hard shoulders gave way to her unrelenting pressure. It was intense, and exactly what I asked for. If I had a nickel for every time I asked for deep tissue and received a light Swedish at other spas.... So I was immensely pleased that my request was honored. Every movement, every application in the package made sense and delivered an experience I am going to rave about until the next joyous opportunity to step foot in their haven. Ending with the scalp massage was just.....everything. As I was checking out, and thinking "this was worth every penny", I asked Charie for recommendations for future services based on what she learned about my muscles during the treatment. She advised me to try the ashiatsu massage next because she felt my muscles would respond well to that technique. She herself is not certified in that treatment so I would need to book with a different therapist which meant I left knowing that her recommendation was truly client-focused. read more

I got the 90 min full body massage melt and it was AMAZING!!! My back had kept cramping up and getting pinched nerves over the past few months. I tried acupuncture and cupping therapy a few weeks prior because I couldn't get an appointment here at Mariposa. They were booked up for a few weeks when i looked but TRUST ME, it is sooooo worth the wait! It was so relaxing and the storefront is so cute! My therapist was so nice and really knew how to get to work on the knots and tight parts of my upper back and shoulders! I will definitely be returning! read more

Easily one of the best massages I have ever had and I consider myself a connoisseur of deep tissue treatments to resolve chronic pain I've suffered for decades. Their standard 60-min massage is not only the most reasonably priced on the East/North side, it includes a perfectly choreographed sequence of hot towel, hot stone, and assisted stretching that I was not expecting since you normally have to pay extra. They know it works so they use it. Natasha was the available therapist today and she was fantastic. Very intuitive and able to exert some serious pressure on the knots I earned from several weeks of international travel. Worth mentioning that the space is very calming. Whispering/talking softly recommended. Seriously, it's part of the vibe there and it's refreshing. The reception area is cozy and welcoming with a lot of natural light and fits well into the charm of old Snohomish. Get a massage and then sneak out to Top It next door for some nonfat frozen yogurt. read more

I always used to enjoy this spa, but my recent experience left me wondering if I should go back or not. Despite expressing what I did and didn't want massaged and the depth, something that was always respected in the past, the therapist continued with her 'standard treatment', even blatantly ignoring my specific request not to be massaged on my legs. Ouch and OMG... help!! The music was hokey piano renditions of top 40 pop -- imagine 'Ooops, I did it again!' being played by a jazz pianist. All my visits prior, they had serene tranquil natural zen music playing, so this was a new weird old lady vibe that I could not get into. At the end of my treatment which was very lack lustre and didn't even include feet despite my stating I love my feet being massaged not my legs....the therapist said, 'Congratulations, you survived.' Then she left and didn't even say goodbye. It was super odd, super unwelcoming and did I mention that their prices have gone up exorbitantly for this subpar experience? I'm so sad as this used to be my favorite experience in Snohomish but alas, apparently all good things must come to an end and I will likely seek out a new spa. read more

Great location, interesting setup, and excellent service. Mariposa is underneath another shop, just across from the old furniture store. To get to it you have to walk down some stairs. It's set up in what's basically a large room that has curtains draped around it to create little massage rooms. I was used to getting massages in separate rooms, so it was a little different to be in a place with this setup. But it was really cool and gave it a unique feel. Natasha was my masseuse and she did an excellent job. I showed up a little early but she was totally accommodating. She was also very attentive and thorough - I left feeling completely relaxed and ready to take on the challenges of renovating my house. She used hot stones during the massage (not the type that they set on your back). The heat and pressure from them was so relaxing. It's definitely worth stopping by. You could easily spend a weekend in Snohomish at the restaurants and shops, Mariposa would be a great addition to your day. read more

This is the place to go! Relaxing calm & caring. Instead of going to a place that is close to my house I most definitely will drive 25 miles for their care. I've had a variety of treatments at the spa (lucky me) and I felt fabulous at the end of every one! Catherine is a delight and she does a wonderful job of making me feel relaxed and pampered. In fact, Natasha, my therapist, gave me one of the best treatments I have ever received (Upper Body Melt massage) and I have had a ton. She listened to what I needed and, from beginning to end, my experience was superb. The Spa is gorgeous, quiet, very organized/efficient, and I had the chance to meet Catherine, the owner, who was very friendly and customer-focused. 90 MIN OF HEAVEN Wonderful experience at this beautiful Day Spa! Gorgeous setting, very clean and calming environment. Booking was extremely easy online. The owner Catherine is very sweet and thoughtful as well. I loved that I was able to remain in the same room and on the same bed for 90 minutes straight. It was a seamless experience moving from the massage to my 30 min facial. It literally felt like the facial was a natural extension of my massage. Truly relaxing, beautiful experience. I didn't want to leave. The spa is somewhat hidden from the main street (down the stairs) but you will be pleasantly surprised at how bright and cozy this place is. I highly recommend giving them a try, they are so professional, thoughtful, very good about anticipating your needs and making sure you have the experience you desire. This is as good as it gets. Not only is this place european certified organic ( much higher standard) my acne facial was amazing. I got an all over massage as well. My husband and I have frequented many spas across the country including in Phoenix, Arizona and Honolulu, Hawaii to experience an array of services offered. Mariposa day spa will join my highest-ranking spa visit experiences due to the atmosphere, friendliness of staff, and high-quality services offered. My husband is currently deployed leaving me at home with our three children and to run my business which invokes a lot of stress and tension in my life. Upon leaving the spa I felt so relaxed, rejuvenated, and ready to get back in the fight for the next few months while my husband is gone. I cannot recommend this spa enough! The only different experience I had while relaxing here was the rooms are not completely private. They are separated by long heavy opaque curtains which allowed me to hear the conversation whispers in the next room.
