At age 45 and having never done resistance training, I was concerned about injury but Charlie is always careful to respect my limitations while still knowing when I needed a push to get out of my comfort zone. But…read more It needs some work on keeping equipment functional ( machines remain broken or torn for weeks at a time) and lack of monitoring or helping members understand what the 30 minute express room is designed for. There are two signs explaining how to use the room (a copycat of the defunct Curves model) but it's not enforced so not it's not functional as designed. Folks get on machines ( that are readily available on the floor) and stay on one machine for 5 min or worse yet... come in in groups of 2 or three and stop the flow completely. I've requested help with this dozens of times... no results Emailed the club with no response. Time to check out Golds or TrueFit I'm going to miss this place. Blatant Misleading Advertising - Planet Fitness…read more My experience with Planet Fitness was beyond disappointing -- it was outright misleading. While in town for work, I visited this location and saw Valentine's Day promotions running repeatedly on the TVs inside the gym advertising: "Free Workout Weekend for Valentine's Day" "Free workouts at ANY Planet Fitness location" Free massages in the spa The wording was clear and absolute -- "ANY Planet Fitness location." There were no disclaimers, no fine print, and no mention of "participating locations only." When I returned the following day to use the advertised promotion, the front desk employee refused to honor it and claimed this location was "not participating." When I pointed out that the ad explicitly said "ANY location," I was told, essentially, that it didn't apply here. It is unacceptable for a company to run promotional ads inside its own facility and then deny the promotion when a customer attempts to redeem it. That is textbook misleading advertising. Either corporate is allowing inaccurate marketing materials to be displayed in non-participating locations, or this specific franchise is choosing not to honor a nationally advertised promotion. Both scenarios reflect extremely poor management and a disregard for customers. National brands do not get to advertise "ANY location" and then hide behind "not participating" when called on it. I have attached photos of the advertisements running inside this gym. "This is the kind of clear-cut misleading advertising that even a first-year attorney would have no trouble challenging."

You walk in and there is a counter with pieces…read moremissing off it, stuff cluttering the floor, appears to be construction material, the vibe is kind of depressing, the staff was ok, most of the machines seemed to work. The red light pod (evidently the only one) was out of order. The place as a whole needs a good overhaul, ambiance-wise, cleaning up and a fix your non working equipment. First and last time for me.
