First time visiting a Trugurt and I wasn't disappointed. Beautiful, busy space. Easy to navigate; grab your container, choose your flavors and weigh your choice. Nutella, white chocolate and strawberry were my flavors of the day. Seating options inside are limited but outside offers more options. We chose to sit outside. I really enjoyed this place when I visited. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. I loved that they had both gluten and dairy free options. I got the strawberry Italian ice and lemon Italian ice and the lemon was my favorite though both where good. You can add whatever toppings you like, and I chose to add fresh strawberries. The staff was friendly and the inside was clean and casual. I'd definitely recommend for a sweet treat on a warm day! read more

I didn't know what to expect to your I was actually searching and scrolling through my phone to see if I had a Groupon promotion don't like paying full price for things like desserts or something that's unessential I was totally blown away when I sent the $0.69 per ounce I believe it said which is very deceptive by the time you get your yogurt and put some toppings on it you're well at 4 to $5 I had the bare minimum I didn't even put toppings and I was at $4 or honestly wanted to leave their yogurt right there and not purchase anything but I didn't want to waste a cashier's time and I'm so wasted product so I took it grudgingly but I will step back in there again I see that I is definitely out of my range for some yogurt it was good but not that good to cost over $4 for a small serving read more

I came here because I really didn't feel like having ice cream. The store itself is cute. Small - but nicely decorated. There was a large variety of flavors to choose from. The yogurt itself was more icy - which was nice for a change. I got the Nutella, which was delicious by itself. I'd bet that if you added some cookie pieces & hot fudge it'd be amazing. Surprisingly, the yogurt was well-priced and affordable. The staff were kind and provided sample cups upon request. I'll definitely be back. read more

Not a fan. For a self-serve frozen yogurt place, there's no flow or sense of organization. The frozen yogurt itself was pretty good, but similar to ice cream flavors than yogurt. The toppings were expansive, but I don't think the fruit was fresh (probably frozen). I think the prices are ridiculous; for my boyfriend and I it was $15, and by no means did we overfill our cups. Went here and the workers are friendly. When you come in they greet you and ask if you want a sample cup to sample the ice creams. I bought a strawberry mango and it was not good to me. I think they add agave syrup in their smoothies to sweeten it and it takes away from tasting the drink naturally. So other than that the place is clean and workers are friendly. read more

It's not common to find places that sell food that is USDA organic! Oftentimes the only options are uncertified or vegan. The certification itself has its flaws, but this is a great step, as the certification calls for higher standards of care and less pesticide use for food and animal feed. I went to the Orland location and am happy that there is a place with both dairy-free and organic options here. Hand sanitizer is provided, which is great. At other places, sometimes employees put spoons in your yogurt for you as a habit, and I appreciated that the spoons were set out for us to take, as I carry my own reusable one with me. Don't have much to say about price. Take note that the yogurt can melt quickly, though I haven't compared it to ice cream side-by-side. read more

We recently went to Trugurt... we were in the mood for something sweet! It is easy to find, with bench seating right out front. It is definitively a stop-and-go with not much seating indoors - unless you want to sit outside to enjoy your tasty treat! We were hoping for more flavors to choose from, with only about 3 were dairy-free. The flavors we tried were sort of "icy" - almost watered down - and lacked the smoothness of a good froyo. I don't think we will go back just based on this alone. Flavor is king! We thought the price was a little pricy for what we got... $18 for 2 bowls of froyo. In hindsight, we enjoyed that everything was kept pretty clean, and we had a good experience overall. The staff was welcoming. read more

My niece was putting fruity pebbles on her yogurt and she was so excited and the rude ignorant employee snatched it from her hand scaring her. You don't snatch things from a child other children where doing this why was my niece chosen to be picked on is it because she has autism. This is not right and inhumane! Trugurt is a place where Italian Ice, slushy meets yogurtland sorta. The product has a yogurt dairy consistency with an icee crunchy texture Flavors are fun I liked the Taro flavor and the regular plain yogurt and blueberry. I feel they are little more pricey at $.59 per ounce verses Yogurtland which I believe is priced at like $.49 per ounce. I have to say this place was an upgrade compare to Italio's food. read more

This place is more like a 2.5 star. I'll make this short and sweet. Pros: - lots of flavors and you get to try as many flavors as you want. - all the flavors are pretty good. I'm not sure if they change the flavors or not, but the ones I tried included banana, pistachio, amaretto, chocolate, vanilla, original tart, blue raspberry ice, mango ice, peanut butter, salted caramel, and taro. - it's 100% organic. -quite a nice selection of toppings, the lychee popping boba is really good! - you need to try the taro flavor. it's the best flavor, in my opinion. Cons: -compared to other frozen yogurt places in Chicago, this place is expensive. They charge $.59 per ounce. -all the mochi i tried were hard. not sure if it was stale or sitting out too long. read more

Delicious, organic, low cal fun! My whole family loves it! We like that you can choose a swirl option and combine 2 flavors. Our favorite last night was the NY cheesecake and Dulce De Leche Swirl. Very flavorful and perfect for a summer night. My husband liked the strawberry banana swirl. They have fruit, fruit swirls with froyo and traditional ice cream flavors and blends. Decided we wanted some froyo after 9pm. Checked the Red Mango site and saw that the Orland Park location was open till 10. Jumped in the car at 9:30, drove there in 20 minutes and had 10 minutes to spare. I usually don't like to be the last one being served at food establishments but this place is self serve and wasn't planning on staying to eat so I thought we would be okay. Saw some people inside so figured we had made it in time. Walked in started serving but were told that they were done, so we had to leave. Apparently this location closes whenever they want. Not only did we drive all that way for nothing but we did not think we would have enough time to go anywhere else. Luckily, I remembered seeing another frozen yogurt place in the shopping center by Old Navy and CompUSA. We got to Trugurt at 9:55, saw the open sign still on so we jumped out of the car and went in. We received a friendly greeting from the 2 girls working and were in even followed in by a few other customers. We got our yogurt and toppings, paid and went outside to eat so they could close up. I will definitely be going to Trugurt again and not giving my business to Red Mango anymore. Jolly Rancher Watermelon froyo!!!!! They nailed this flavor and I loved it. This was the best yogurt place I have tried. I've tried TCBY and Red Mango and before I tried Trugurt I thought Red Mango was the best. Trugurt is better than both of them! The yogurt is so creamy ( I tried the Vanilla Bean) It was simply the best yogurt I have ever had. They had all the toppings that I enjoy. Gummy Bears, fresh strawberries and raspberries, nuts , sprinkles, blueberries and the balls filled with jelly. Just simply delicious. 10 out of 10! My children are big fans of this place. I appreciate the concept of allowing the customer to serve themselves which includes the toppings. They charge your entire purchase by the ounce. The unlimited samples are a major feature due to having the benefit of purchasing your preferred flavored yogurt. The yogurt is ok at best, perhaps too "sherberty" for my liking. I prefer a thicker tasting yogurt. I had a few samples, hoping the mango would taste more like the fruit. Instead it had the strong sherbert taste. I opted for the traditional vanilla bean and salted caramel. The toppings (all sorts of toppings) will diminish the sherbert flavor of the yogurt, and will leave your palate with taste of the topping. Upon finishing my yogurt, the topping flavor lingered and not the 2 flavors I selected. read more

Definitely prefer this over TCBY and Red Mango. The flavors aren't packed with sugar and are all very good. The location is rather tiny, and there isn't much seating, but it gets the job done if you don't go in there when it's packed. My husband and I got to try to Nutella and Caramel Del Leche flavors. Personally i like more of a thicker frozen yogurt. The consistency here is more of a sherbert type. Flavors were not bad...once again the consistency of the froyo was not what I normally like. But if sherbert type of consistency is your thing then this place is good. Toppings were standard as other froyo places. Pomegranite was my favorite flavor. read more
