My favorite flavor profile is the Coffee Lovers Ice Cream with Roasted Almonds, Heath Bar and Caramel This location is amazing not only do they have delicious ice cream delicacies they also have chocolate covered apples and a huge selection of chocolate decadent candy to choose from such as chocolate covered pecan bars, pretzels, and toffee. It's like stepping into the Willie Wonka Chocolate Factory, simply sinful. So I went into the store and ordered a cake here few days ago. I ordered a cake that serves 50 people and costed about $70. The cake tasted delicious but there were few things that they didn't do right: 1)I asked for sprinkles on all 4 sides of the cake, but when I got the cake there were no sprinkles at all. 2) I asked them to write "congratulations grad!" and actually wrote it on the cake order form correctly. But when I got the cake, it spelled congratulations as "congradulations"! Idk if the baker was trying to be funny but that's not what I asked for. So I called the store in yesterday and told them about this to the supervisor. First she tried to tell me that the correct way to spell congratulations is with a D! Wowwww! And then she said she won't reimburse for the cake but instead will give me a discount on the next cake. I wasn't asking for a full reimbursement to start with because the cake was delicious (which is why I'm giving it two stars). Why would I order a cake again at a place that didn't follow all the instructions properly?? So I kindly asked the supervisor if I can get free ice cream or a gift card or something to reimburse for these mistakes that were made by their baker. The supervisor said she would ask the owner and get back to me! It's been more than 24 hours and still I haven't received a call back! This is very unprofessional from cold stones management. I will never order a cake from them again and won't recommend others either because you might not get the ideal cake you ordered. I LOVE COLD STONE, BUT I don't even come close to liking this location. I really feel like the man helping me was being too dismissive. I literally made my order as easy as possible by ordering the same 3 combinations & said he can mix them together as one then separate them into bowls. OR he could have put it all in the bigger quart container (but I would have been charged less). I had 1 love it & 2 gotta have it. From what I saw it appeared to be the opposite, so I confirmed with him again. When he was mixing the last bowl, he scooped off a sizeable portion, so I asked if he's going to mix it all together & he said he scooped it off because it was going to fit in the bowl. Again...it could have gone into a bigger container. It's already been taken out the freezer to be mixed, so u can't put it back & why waste it if the customer is paying for it? I'll also note that none of the 3 bowls were filled to capacity, so his explanation didn't make sense. I'd rather drive to Oak Lawn or Homewood instead of coming back to this location. You should always treat every customer like they matter. Don't put a tip jar on the counter when your service doesn't deserve it. read more

This place has the BEST ice cream I've ever had. I used to work at a Dairy Queen. This is ten times better than DQ. What I like about this place is that the ice cream is never runny. The ice cream will stay on your spoon if you turn it upside down, so that's always good. Sorbet is even better. Sorbet is a great vegan option, and tastes delicious. I'd highly recommend the watermelon sorbet. The first time I came here, the employees recommended I get the "Monkey Bites" ice cream. We tried it, and it's now one of my faves. Came in at 3pm and I was the only customer. Haven't been to a CSC in years but I had a taste for their sinless flavor with blueberries. Well, guess what? No more sinless. :( :( The woman behind the counter had never even heard of it. I was bummed because it was nice to have a semi healthy option that still had full flavor and creaminess. The woman didn't seem to have very much knowledge of the flavors. I noticed a few sorbets and frozen yogurts available. I asked if she had access to the nutritional facts on these, as fro yos calorie/sugar/fat content can still be high. She fumbled through a packet of information, found the vanilla frozen yogurt. However, all it was was a list of ingredients. I asked again if she had the nutritional information available, not just the ingredients. She fumbled through another packet and this time couldn't find anything about the sorbets or yogurts. She was nice and tried to be helpful, just seemed to be uneducated on the details of the menu. I could be wrong, but I've been under the impression that restaurants (especially chains) are required to be able to provide that information. Especially now with people who have serious food allergies or restrictive diets. I recently had surgery and now will have to majorly cut down my fat intake. It would be nice to have an alternative low/fat option for a dessert at cold stone, now that they've gotten rid of the sinless variety. So, I asked to taste the pink champagne sorbet and the watermelon sorbet. Oh my god, absolutely disgusting. So sticky sweet and the flavors tasted completely artificial. So disappointing. I was not about to waste almost $5 on a small dish of that stuff. I'd rather get a $1 cone from McDonald's. I obviously ended up leaving the store empty handed and hungry. Thank goodness there's a Jewel down the street where I was able to pick up a half gallon of name brand fat free vanilla frozen yogurt for $3.50. I ordered 12 cupcakes of there most popular varieties packs for my daughters birthday and the only one that looked like the picture on the website was the red velvet, the rest looked horrible. I ordered it on Thursday for a Sunday pickup. The chocolate which was her favorite had no Oreo cookies on the top just a couple of crumbs and the sweet cream had no chocolate curls just a few crumb that didn't even look like chocolate. It was embarrassing to serve them. I felt so bad for my daughter she was really looking forward to them.
