I was referred to this place because the original one was out of network for some work I had to get done. I went for a consultation at their other location on Bandera and was given an outline of the treatment. It took two months for this office to get me an appointment. I had to place a 100 deposit, which they tried to keep. Then I paid in full over 2k for the procedure. They told me they would file a claim and I would receive some reimbursement. I have never been so terrified to the point I almost walked out. The doctor was so heavy handed that I started to get anxiety. I felt like I was being stabbed to the point of exhaustion. I get that that had to numb me but he could have been more gentle about it. Once the procedure was over they sent my medication to the wrong pharmacy and was told they would have to call to resubmit it. Luckily my husband called while in the waiting area because getting ahold of anyone can be nearly impossible. They took 30 days to process my claim with my insurance. Then they submitted things wrong. They don't communicate with their other office at all so don't even bother. I followed up with him which that part was okay. Mind you it was less invasive. On my last follow-up they wanted to schedule me for a cleaning. I told them I already have a provider I see that I absolutely love. They insisted and I felt pressured to scheduled the appointment. I did but call back to cancel it. They continued to try to get me to reschedule and asked me the reason for my cancellation. I continued to reiterate to cancel the appointment. The office is not only rude but very disorganized. I don't feel like your care is their priority but rather the money they can suck out of you. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. I would not recommend this office or doctor. Although the doctor seems very knowledgeable and pleasant he is too harsh in his bedside manners of approach. You've been warned.

I keep my mouth fairly clean and haven't had mouth pain for 4 years. 2 weeks ago one of my fillings fell out. It's not painful, but the edges are sharp against my tongue. I called Oasis up and made an appointment to fix my filling. They already have my records, and maybe I'd get back into the habit of regular cleanings. They saw me 2 days after my filling fell out. Awesome. I go to my appointment. They take xrays and ask me questions about the severity of my missing filling. I've got no pain, it just needs to be replaced. They say they don't have time to fix it today and that I need another appointment. Apparently it'll take an hour. I was hoping to get it done, but no biggie. They can see me in a week. I take time off work to get my filling replaced. On my way out of my neighborhood they call and tell me they're pushing me back. Ok. Things happen. I get seated in a room 15 minutes after my appointment. Now my blood pressure is 2 points too high. They use one of those cheap electronic BP cuffs. I'm sitting in this dentist chair hoping my BP drops so I can get this work done that I tried to schedule a week and a half ago. They take my blood pressure 2 more times with the cheap cuff, tell me a few things about ADA regulations, and boot me out the door. I worked in healthcare. When a cheap BP cuff reads high, usually someone takes a manual pressure which is more accurate. I was 2 points high, probably at least partly caused by them delaying my appointment and now they won't treat me. If you didn't want me as a patient because I stopped routine cleanings 4 years ago, have the decency to tell me and not waste my time at 2 appointments. You could have told me last week that I should find a new dentist and I would have understood. Dr Galles may be an ok dentist but he is not an ok person.

I was…read morescheduled for a routine cleaning and exam at 3:00 p.m. The hygienist I was schduled to see, Dominique, was running behind, so the dental assistant brought me back, and Dr. Patel -- whom my husband and I have always had great experiences with -- performed my exam first. The hygienist finally came into the room around 3:20 p.m., and by 3:36 p.m., I was already checked out at the front desk. I have never had a cleaning that lasted only about 15 minutes (which included the time Dominique had to santize the dental chair, saliva ejector and water hoses), especially being overdue for my regular visit. What concerned me even more was the lack of infection control. The dental instruments were opened from the sterilization bag before I entered the room. I had to ask the hygienist to sanitize the dental chair, saliva ejector and water hoses because it didn't appear to have been cleaned prior to my visit (white particles visible on surfaces mentioned), and I was handed visibly dirty patient glasses. As someone who works in the dental field, I found this completely unacceptable and concerning for patient safety. It also saddens me that when I brought this issue to the attention of the front office staff upon checking out, nothing was done to address or rectify the situation. No apology was offered, which was very disappointing and left a poor final impression. Whether this was due to running behind schedule or simply a lack of care, the experience was extremely disappointing. Despite my positive experiences with Dr. Patel, my family and I will not be returning after this visit.

I visited for a routine cleaning in late 2025, during which I felt the dental hygienist appeared inexperienced and uncertain in her technique. After the cleaning, while measuring periodontal pocket depths, the probe was left in my mouth while she turned away to chart. Additionally, the pressure applied during the exam was excessive and inconsistent with my previous visits, where my dental health has been stable. When Dr. De La Garza came in for the exam, I mentioned my concerns and expressed that I did not feel the measurements were accurate. Despite this, I was advised to schedule a deep cleaning, which I believe may have been recommended based on those questionable measurements. More recently, I received a call to schedule my next cleaning. During that conversation, I calmly and professionally explained my prior experience and shared that I was open to continuing care with the practice, provided I could be scheduled with a different hygienist. I also emphasized that my intention was simply to share feedback and resolve the issue. I was surprised when the response I received was an offer to remove me from the call list rather than address my concern. When I expressed my surprise and reiterated my desire to remain a patient while having my concerns acknowledged, the conversation was abruptly ended. After more than 10 years as a patient, I find this experience disappointing. I value the care I have received in the past, but I am concerned by how this situation was handled. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as my preference would be to continue care with your office under improved circumstances. (4/7/26) Update #2 - I contacted the office and spoke with the Office Manager to ensure my concerns were clearly communicated. While she did offer the option of scheduling with a different hygienist, I was interrupted during my explanation of the situation. She referenced notes in the chart and appeared to focus on defending the hygienist rather than simply listening. As a registered nurse who also works in service recovery, I place a high value on active listening and empathy. I was disappointed by what felt like a lack of both during this interaction. Had my concerns been fully acknowledged with a simple apology and then followed by the proposed solution, I would have been willing to schedule an appointment immediately. The call itself lasted less than five minutes. This reinforces my impression that my concerns were not given adequate attention, or the office manager was just too busy to listen. Unfortunately, this experience leaves me feeling as though patient relationships and long-term retention may not be a priority.

I called in to schedule an appointment in the mid-May, and I told them very clearly I have Tricare dental and asked them if they accept Tricare. They said yes they do accept Tricare and then set up my appointment on June 22. I showed up and checked in, then the front desk asked me to pay $100 copay, I told them Tricare covers 100% on the annual exam and x-ray and cleaning twice a year. Then they told me oh we are NOT in the Tricare network and you need to pay a copay $100! WHAT!!! WHY DID NOT TELL ME ON THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED THE FIRST TIME???!!!! I said then I do not want to proceed with the appointment and about to walk out, the manager saw that I was about to leave, she said oh I can just bill your insurance and waive the copay, since you are already here, I do not want to turn you away. We will just do the x-ray and you can take the images to another dental which is in the network. I accepted and proceeded with the x-ray. I was SO WRONG!! I really really should have left! Later of the day I found another dentist on Tricare Dental Program website and called them and told them what happened earlier today. I was told that: 1) they would need to do their own full mouth X-ray and not accepting what other dentist has done due to liability 2) Tricare only covers full mouth x-ray once every year, I would need to pay out of pocket for the second one. This place wants to make money so bad that they totally abused my insurance coverage! They knew clearly I had Tricare and they could not do any cleaning or needed treatment for me! Even they waived the $100 copay but they submitted $$$ claim to my insurance! Yeah, they got paid from insurance! Now I have to pay for another X-ray out of pocket! My husband and I can't continue with Dual Arc Dental because they no longer submit the full bill to the insurance company and after that amount is paid the patient pays the balance. Sometimes we cannot afford to pay up front so we located another practice recommended by a friend which will submit the bill to our insurance and allow us to pay the balance. We understand that Dual Arc made a business decision and we wish them the best. Try them and you will be impressed with the high level of dental help.
