I was so excited to try the talked about Trung Nguyen Coffee. The aesthetics of the place are very nice. However, the food and drinks were just alright. They were ok but a little pricey for what they're worth.

Super crowded here on the weekends. I went in and got a pandan coconut slush. The blend was really good with the coffee. Sometimes the coffee over powers the other flavors but I could still taste the pandan and coconut. Not sure if it should cost $7-8 for coffee nowadays. Overall it's worth a try if you enjoy Asian flavored/Vietnamese coffee.

Haha, I low-key wanted to find a reason to hate on this place because of the Google review promotion, but honestly this cafe is solid and pretty good on delivering what you would expect from a cafe of this caliber. They also serve food and I really enjoyed the Pho here. It was even better that they had a small size, which made it less of a commitment to order for just a taste! I'm not sure what happened here for there to be a sign at the counter that says they reserve the right to not serve anyone they wish, but the staff I've encountered have all been helpful and friendly for both of my visits so far. They have a good variety of coffee and tea, and watch out because the coffee is strong! One thing that did make me genuinely burst out laughing is that they measure everything, so they give you what seems like a smaller portion of a cold drink if you order no ice (I was going to take it to go and drink it later so didn't want it watered down), which is kind of crazy! I thought everything was bigger in Texas, but I guess not when it comes to flavored water. But that aside, it's a beautiful cafe and I can see why they've made it their flagship U.S. store. The music was interesting too with its dramatic saxophone and piano playing in the background, but it does help drown out the talking from other tables without being too obnoxious. This spot is definitely a recommend!

Vietnamese Egg Coffee, Pandan Lotus Seed Tea

Heard a new location opened up that offered different drinks so decided to stop by. Walking in, the space is well lit and has lots of seating. The staff were nice and friendly plus service was really quick. I got the Pandan Lotus Seed Tea and the Vietnamese Egg Coffee. The drinks came out quickly and were delicious. The Pandan Lotus Seed Tea was just the right amount of sweetness, was soymilk based, and had actually lotus seed in the drink. The Vietnamese Egg Coffee had a nice depth, creamy, strong, and there was a nice layer of egg foam. Overall, great place and service, drink were good. I highly recommend the Pandan Lotus Seed Tea if you're not into coffee!

We heard about this new Vietnamese coffee place in town and were here around 1pm on a Thursday and it was packed . Nice ambiance and lots of coffee options The coffee was good We had the regular classic iced milk coffee and we tried the ottoman . Both were very good

The place is most definitely an upscale luxury coffee shop. Prices also reflect that. They had the door open and there were a lot of people smoking outside so that smell carried inside and was unpleasant. I would've liked to smell more of the aroma from the coffee but instead smelled cigarette smoke. I tried the yuzu coffee and that was a strong bitter taste followed by that tangy sour yuzu flavor. I don't feel like this blended well. I would have expected a more refreshing taste. The other item I tried was the signature coffee and that was DELICIOUS. There's a candle under the pot to keep the coffee warm and I thought that it was a perfect tepid temperature. The coffee isn't burning hot or cold, so I was able to throughly enjoy it. The coffee had a strong bold flavor. The flavors that came through for me was a chocolatey cocoa richness and a little bit nutty. If you want it to be a little sweeter you can add the sweeter(syrup) that is offered on the tray as well. The pho surprised me. It had a flavorful broth that tasted like beef. It was hearty and comforting. The service here was a little bit lacking. I ordered our drinks at the counter and I wanted to add on some pho but was told to order it at the table. We waited and no one came by we actually had to grab one of the staffs attention. Granted they're busy but if they're wanting people to order at the table I think it should be a bit more organized. I think that they could've assigned staff to tables and sections and that might improve service. I wanted to give this place a 4-5 star review based off the signature coffee alone. However, there needs to be some improvements made on service. I will be back here because I really enjoyed the coffee and want to try other things on the menu.

This is a very nice new, turkish Vietnamese cafe. Interior decoration is very nice, clean without being too minimal. I enjoy the bamboo aesthetic with cultural explanations on the wall and they sell a lot of equipment as well. Very ample seating with lots of natural lighting. However bc of it, there's not really an outlets so charge your devices beforehand. Coffee is also all pretty enjoyable. I had the marble coffee which I liked a lot bc it wasn't overly strong or sweet. Very well balanced. The tiramisu coffee was on the stronger side. The only thing I didn't rly enjoy is the crème brûlée because it burnt top was cool and not particularly good. Service was very kind and helpful though!

Lovely iced egg coffee and a banh mi. Nice service and good flavors.

Time to Order: 5 Minutes You might be wondering why there are so many reviews on Google for a place that just opened. The answer is that they're providing a BOGO voucher for reviews, haha.. those expire at the end of the month, though. Regardless, Trung Nguyen Legend does live up to the hype. A famous coffee chain from Vietnam is always welcome here! We got here around 4:25PM and there was still a line of ~15 people in front of us. We got through the line in five minutes and got our coffee in another five. A large is only $1 more, so go for the upsize! We had the large egg drop Vietnamese coffee and it was very smooth, with the classic strong bitter flavor signature of Vietnamese coffee. The staff were also incredibly friendly, even giving us some free tea samples while we sat around. They're probably going to land in my top 5 Vietnamese coffees in Houston for sure, though they're a bit pricey. The atmosphere is loud but warm, and I saw people working on laptops, out for a date, and families just enjoying their time together. Wishing them success!

    Vietnamese Marble Coffee (Bạc Xỉu)

Trung Nguyen Legend is a Vietnamese coffee shop with a beautifully decorated, spacious interior that makes it a great spot to hang out with friends and family. When my friends and I arrived, the line stretched outside the door. We waited about 20 minutes before ordering. Despite how busy it was, my drink was ready in about five minutes. I got the Vietnamese marble coffee (Bạc Xỉu), which was flavorful and refreshing! I'd definitely come back to try more of their drinks.

Came for their soft opening. My partner got their creative 8, which we were told that it gives a nutty flavor. I got the legend which we were told it was their signature and best coffee. Creative 8 was a lot less depth in flavor compared to legend but legend did not seem so impressive to me but it was still pretty good for a ca phe sua da. I don't think I would come here again for the legend though for its price but I would definitely be interested in trying their other drinks! Right now, I enjoy their other location a lot more. There is a lot of hype around this coffee shop. It's extremely busy the two times I was there. Even on a Tuesday around 10:30am it was packed. Was it a 5 star? Absolutely not, but it was good enough for me to come back. So ordering was easy. If you want just drinks then you order it at the counter and they give you a buzzer. If you're there to eat as well, go ahead and have a seat and a server will be at your table. Here are some items I've ordered. * Ice coconut coffee- it was my favorite. Although there could've been more coconut flavor, it was strong. I didn't really taste any coconut cream, just mainly the coconut sprinkles that were on top of the drink. 4.2/5 * Tropical Matcha- the drink was not bad, but the mango was very subtle. Matcha was good quality. There was barely any tea flavor but it was solid. 3.3/5 * Almond white coffee- coffee wasn't as strong, but very nutty from the almond milk & sliced almonds. I love the addition of having coffee jelly in the drink, you just can't go wrong with that. 3.5/5 * Royal pomegranate juice- my least favorite drink and will never order it again. It was too sweet for my liking and on top of that they added cinnamon sticks. I don't think pomegranate and cinnamon sticks go together. Too sweet and too cinnamon-y just didn't sit well for me. 2/5 * Rare beef, fatty brisket and meatball Pho- The broth was doable, it was more on the sweet side. The noodles were stuck together, which I didn't like & it wasn't much either. Rare beef was tendered. There were some slices of brisket that had all fat and no meat at all & it was chewy. Now for the meatballs, how can you mess up on that? I'm sure it came prepackaged. It was low in quality and it was not tendered. For a small bowl at $14 they were skimpy on the noodles but luckily I don't over eat so I was still full. Would I order this again? Nope one and done. They specialize for their coffee so I'll stick with that. 2.8/5 Overall I'll give it a 3.5 stars, but I'll round it up to a 4 because both of the times I was there, Ngan (cashier) was very nice & helpful. The staff and my server were kind as well. The ambiance is nice and spacious. They also serve Bo ne and Banh mi which I'll give it a try next time. If it's not good I'll only get coffee from there. Will I come back? Absolutely.

I visited the newly opened Trung Nguyên Legend near Tân Bình Market and was pleasantly surprised. The space is wide, bright, and has plenty of seating. The décor is eye‑catching, and the store displays a full range of the brand's coffee products--beans, phin filters, and gift sets. Besides drinks, they also serve breakfast dishes like phở and bánh mì, which were surprisingly tasty. I arrived around 9:00 AM and the place was packed with Vietnamese customers. I thought I would have to wait long, but the food came out quickly. Overall, I'm impressed and will definitely come back to try more items.

When I stopped by on a weekday evening at 9pm it was packed. They had stations setup throughout the store to order different goods, which helped to alleviate the rush. Knafeh ($6) - They offered 2 types of knafeh, one with cheese and one with custard. I went with the one made with Nabulsi cheese and topped with shredded phyllo, and soaked in sugar syrup. It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. Overall I was impressed with everything they offered here with the exception of the nuts, which I thought were just ok. I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

For example, with the Turkish delights and ice cream selections, only a few items are labeled. For most of them, you have to guess the flavor or ingredients. When I asked questions, there was a language barrier, and the staff member behind the counter was unable to clearly explain what the items were in English. This can be especially frustrating for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions. In the U.S., I would expect all flavors and ingredients to be clearly labeled so customers can make informed choices. Even if staff members are not fluent in English, having accurate labels for flavors and ingredients would greatly improve the customer experience. The desserts themselves are excellent, but better product labeling would make the experience much more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.
