This is a Vietnamese boba shop and it has the BEST green milk tea. I like their green milk tea by itself with full sweetness but if you aren't a fan of overly sweet drinks, I would consider adjusting the sweetness down. The green collection comes with milk and matcha jello which is good but I prefer just drinking without scooping with a spoon. I also usually get their milk tea no. 3 which is my favorite between that one and the no. 5. It is sweeter and has a strong tea flavor. Both of these get me caffeinated! The place is a little small but they have lots of tables, even some lower to the ground with some stools! They also play Vietnamese music in the back. Ordering was easy and fast with an easy to read menu too.
Cute boba shop with unique offerings. We came in for a sweet treat after lunch. They not only have your traditional boba drinks and fruit teas but they also offer desserts featuring milk jello and street food bites. There were also packaged snacks for purchase as well. I opted for the salted foam coffee but got to sip the artichoke tea, green collection, and almond panna cotta lychee sweet dessert. All were good! We also ordered fried chicken feet. I cannot comment on that but the others loved it. Would definitely come back to try other drinks on their menu. The young ladies working there were very friendly and helpful for those of us who were first timers.
Had extremely amazing tea flavor. I loved the toppings and choices and it is very hard to find these. I have only had them in Vietnam and the baristas were super chill and kind. I really loved and enjoyed the esthetic here as well. Solid spot and definitely worth checking it out!

One of the best tea shops in Houston! They don't need to prove anything to you, they don't need crazy advertising or always show up on social media. They simply care for the tea leaves, the hidden brown sugar note in their milk tea No.5 (if you like "dry" milk tea, give it a try) Tips: I always adjust my sugar level to 50% and add boba to balance the sweetness. Tho I quite like boba from Fengcha better, it is still very uniquely chewy and tasty. Milk tea No.3 is more milky and less tea flavor, and milk tea No.2 is just like green milk tea IMO so not very impressed with No.2 I have tried their cheese milk tea as well and would recommend it. It reminds me of cheese foam tea/milktea so if that's something you like go for it. Their mango tea is very refreshing, pair it with housemade fruit jelly for a perfect combo. The peach tea is a little strange to taste imo. Not sure if that's just very authentic or artificial... Overall, very good and unique drink recipes you can't find elsewhere. The staff is nice and the shop atmosphere always keeps up to seasonal events.
I've been to many Vietnamese-owned boba stores before, and would say the majority of them try to imitate the classic Taiwanese boba taste. Well not JTea. I ordered the Classic Milk Tea to see how they would pull off such a conventional drink and was very impressed by how different it tasted in the best way possible. The milk tea was very sweet and smooth, with just a touch of creaminess. I don't know what type of black tea is used here but the flavor is very complex. A little malty and honey-like, I have not tasted anything like it. It's for this reason alone that I keep wanting to come back to get this one of a kind drink. The Thai Green Tea also really impressed me. It is insanely sweet so I recommend dialing down the sweetness, but whatever blend of green tea they used to make this drinks is super tasty and pleasant. If you are used to traditional Taiwanese boba and want a unique Vietnamese twist on the drinks JTea is place to visit. 9/10!
Upon entering we've noticed that indeed, the vibes were poppin'. Decor was on point, aesthetic was on point, and most importantly, bubble tea was it. I had the Brown Collection which was brown sugar milk tea with various jellies topped with a sea salt cold foam. I've had brown sugar milk teas before and a lot of them are noticeably sweet. This was just the perfect balance of sweet, tea flavor, and salty from the foam which all balanced so nicely. The additional jellies were a fun touch of textures and additional flavors, all not too overwhelming. I guess my only complaint was the amount of ice in the cup but at least the tea stayed cold! The boba was also more of a jelly like texture rather than the traditional tapioca, which I didn't mind that much.

Jtea is my number one favorite boba spot in Bellaire. However, they added furnitures and more seating areas but it looks very crowded especially at the cashier. Also, they raised the price of the to-go green tea bottle to $7.75 (with no toppings), more expensive than their Green Collection which is $7.50 (with toppings). That is insane! The drinks are still really good, but the price crazy. They also gave less toppings for the Green Collection we ordered, mostly just cheese foam, barely any jello and boba. My favorite boba shop, but very expensive now
This boba shop was a bit out of the way for me, but it's just down Bellaire Blvd. I came here in the afternoon on a week day, and there was still a line! I was so surprised. Parking was easy to find, just not directly in front of JTea. They have a small lot shared with other businesses. I got what my Vietnamese friend told me to order: Tiramisu milk tea 25% sugar + khuc bach. The khuc bach was an extra $2.50, so my order came out to like $8-9. RIP my wallet. It was like a slightly harder version of jello. There were some regular milk (white) ones and matcha (green) pieces. It tasted ok. The drink was good though. I can see the hype. I'm glad I got 25% sugar because it was still really sweet for me! The drink comes with lychee jelly on the bottom. I didn't fall in love with this crazy drink, but it wasn't bad. I think I just prefer a simple milk tea.

They're known for green milk tea, which is basically a Thai green milk tea. You can tell you're in a Vietnamese establishment the moment you walk in. They have Vietnamese music and radio playing, the really low tables with stools found on the streets of Vietnam, and a bunch of snacks for sale. They have a lot of exotic drinks that are usually hard to find as well. I got their signature green milk tea with milk jello. They also added some matcha jello as well even though it wasn't listed on the menu. The green milk tea is so good. It has a strong tea flavor, with the common floral taste of Thai green milk tea, not too bitter, and most importantly, delicious. The matcha jello was whatever to me but I really liked the milk jello. They also have bottled green milk tea for sale too if you just want the drink by itself.
JTea has such a cute aesthetic bamboo furniture, that feels perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Got the milk teas and they were rich, creamy, and not overly sweet. The menu has tons of milk tea, fruit teas, coffee drinks. It's Vietnamese owned and they also have a solid snack bar with Vietnamese bites; didn't get to try any this time, but definitely coming back for those. Service was friendly and quick. I went here because it was recommended to me and rightfully so. It was actually a different take on bubble tea and that's because they actually add in pandan jelly pieces. I tried the green collection which was like a Thai green tea with some jellies and tiny bobas, it came with all of those toppings already and costed about $8. It was a cute little shop and it looks like you can purchase more of the pandan on the side. The service was excellent. They can recommend you something that's popular. This place makes great quality drinks with a Vietnamese flair. I like how much variety the menu has compared to other shops. The drinks are around $6 which I will take over the other places which are now charging $8 for a basic drink. They also have good service and pretty atmosphere and decor. I got the coconut egg cream jasmine milk tea. I don't like coconut but this just had some coconut flakes so the taste was minimal. read more

So my sister made me do it y'all. She works by their 1960 location and has been RAVING about how good the yogurt aloe Vera drink is and FOMO got the best of me. I had to go try it for myself. The store is relatively small and there is not really any seating available- just some stools off to the side for customers to wait for their orders. My yogurt aloe Vera drink came out super quick, less than 2 minutes after ordering. The fried chicken feet took awhile to come out though. It was about a 10-15 minute wait for those. I wish they had told me that when I ordered, I would have just tried it next time. Price for both the chicken feet and the aloe Vera yogurt drink are reasonable. Aloe Vera Yogurt Drink 4.5/5 super yummy, I will definitely be back to get it again BUT there is a good amount of ice in there so next time I'll probably request light on ice. Also this is not a light drink either. It's more of a light dessert. Fried chicken feet 3/5 at first glance, presentation is great and coloring is on point. But once I plopped one in my mouth - i immediately thought of Regular hot Cheetos. That's what the flavoring reminds me of lol. It's not spicy at all.. just tastes like hot Cheetos. Not sure if that's an ingredient they use to get the vibrant color but I've personally had better and I don't know if I'll be getting the dish again. read more
Love this place and their drinks. Not like many boba places, they have a good artichoke drink which I normally get. The place is small like most boba joints and can get busy with lines going out the door. If you go there late you can hear people singing karaoke next door (lol). read more
We always stop by here when we are in the area. It was one of the old guards from when there wasn't a lot of boba places around. Milkteas have been consistent and have always taste full bodied and good. They have upgraded their furniture. I remember during covid they totally removed indoor seating. Now they have made it cozy again. We always to go the bottles milk teas. Staff are always friendly. read more

If you're thirsty on a hot Houston day and craving milk tea...Jtea is the spot to be at. JTea is growing in popularity and a favorite among many. It offers one of the most delicious tea with milk jello. I usually get the green milk tea with milk jello and highly recommend it to others. The store is small and cute and the staff is so friendly. It can get crowded but they get everyone's order out quickly. You can purchase some delicious finger foods. I highly recommend this spot for milk tea that is away from the hustle and bustle of Bellaire. read more
First time here and I really thought the place is so cute! Drink presentation is beautifully done but the flavor of the milk tea and the royal artichoke for me is just okay. There were a lot of menu items, I also wanted to try so I'll come back here again one day when I get a chance to try it out. There is a "Jtea" in Minnesota when I've lived there briefly and not sure if they are a chain or not but the taste is very similar to the one out of state! After the first time I was sure I wouldn't be back but I was introduced to their peach green tea and I've been hooked! Everytime I'm back in Houston, I gotta buy at least one or two of them to satisfy the craving but it's never enough! Kinda glad I don't have a car this week in Houston because I'm sure I would spend all my money here. I do recommend all my friends to come to JTea for the peach tea. I do tell them that they don't adjust the sugar for the peach tea unfortunately. I was told it's premade so that's why but just let the ice melt a bit and it's good! They have seats again so perfect to sit and chat with friends while sipping on a nice cool peach tea! read more

So if you like drinks to be silky And you don't like those who work in Realty Be like Tom and Katie Come straight down to JTea And get yourself some Thai Green Milk Tea! Still one of the best Vietnamese Boba shops in the USA, and definitely very tasty indeed. Definitely one of my favourites. One of the busiest and most unabashedly unapologetically Viet dessert places in the city. They don't really cater to anything except delicious Vietnamese goodness. I have a man crush on this extremely popular Vietnamese drink place, they definitely have a style all of their own - and if you want Vietnamese milk products, especially the kind that drive the kids crazy, then this is a great place to go. We've tried the milk teas and the coffees, but the standout is always the Thai Green Milk Tea here for us. They have lovely decor here as well which makes for great photographs but their real strength is two things. Firstly their customer service is excellent and some of the girls are way too friendly to me that I start getting excited. Secondly it's all about their biggest seller on the menu which is a Thai green milk tea with milk jelly inside it and it's really really good. I mean I don't like Thai green milk tea so it's never going to be my thing. But out of all of the versions of this drink that people seem to be obsessed with across all of the Vietnamese places with trendy drinks in Houston I would say this is the only one which I would actually order again. In fact I kinda crave it, low key crave it, don't tell pls. And it's that milk jelly tho. The milk jelly is delicious and milky and creamy and has a perfect consistency, like Barbie being consistently sexy. The Thai green milk tea tastes like chemicals but in a good way. A little bit like matcha, but ew matcha. Or gasoline. Oh wait. Very popular, good value, very friendly, and extremely yummy. I have no choice but to give this excellent establishment a five star rating. As a bonus they have served me 5 minutes before closing which I really appreciated. And while I've discovered another new dreamy Viet fave nearby with similar products and insanely high standards of Cafe Sua Da and Thai Green Milk Tea (called TeaFix), JTea is still top notch and one of the best there is. So if you think JT is Justin Timberlake, it's not. It's This. So if you're trying to drive from Houston to KATY And you're stuck in traffic and you're already LATEY Or you're an 80yr old pirate who says "AYE MATEY!" Come and get some Thai Green Tea at JTEA! Ordered the Brown Rice Jasmine Milk Tea. Can't adjust the sugar level, but that's okay because it has a strong tea flavor and not as sweet as i thought. I asked for extra cereal which totally makes the drink better. The so call cereal is like those instant asian 3in1 cereal mix that you can buy at the supermarket that has sugar in them. Very interesting operation. JTea has a unique way to serve Green Milk Tea with Milk Jello. It took me 2 visits to realize why people kept complaining about the quantity. The drink is a reverse version of boba tea. The topping is Panna Cotta, a cream-based jello dessert of Italy, as I was told by an employee. Unlike other boba teas, which toppings are sinkers. These jello cubes are actually on top of drink; However, it's propped by full cup of ice. This is major complaint about not full cup of drink when asked no ice. My first time here was during the day. It's not easy to locate JTea but I learned a trick. It's right across from Alief Community Park and the mall has lots of matured palm trees. (Well, it was before Winter Storm Uri when they were alive.) My second visit was at night a week after the storm. I didn't like night time visit at all. Not to mention the landmark was invisible, the parking lot was very dark to me. So much so I fear for my life. Clientele was much younger. These 2 visits were only to claim my drinks from BobaFANatic, a fundraising event for OCA Greater Houston. I would return for other unique milk teas once restaurant opens for dine in. read more

Where do I start??? I am obsessed with this place! One of the best place to grab quick bites and authentic boba tea. My favorite is the chicken feet, crab udon and the banh bot loc. But recently, quality went down and prices went up. It's all understandable, since Covid happen but at least keep the food standard the same. They recently told me crab udon soup is no longer on the menu, certain things were out, kitchen isn't operating Wednesday. Oh boy! The chicken feet was SALTY! Like eating a mouth full of salt. After a delicious lunch down the street, we stopped by JTea, specifically for their signature 'Green Collection' drink. It was highly recommended that I don't change any sweetness or ice levels, and get it as is. And OH EM GEE.. LOVED IT! Wow, major drinkgasm with each sip. Absolutely loved the green Thai milk tea, tasted so heavenly. I'm normally not a big fan of creama/cheese foams when it comes to bubble tea, but this one was just complimented the drink. The matcha boba had the perfect softness and chewiness. But my favourite was definitely that milk jello cubes.. so good! Finished every last sip. Since getting back from Houston, I've been Googling and researching for something that is similar in Vancouver.. but nowhere makes anything even close. Couldn't even find a bubble tea spot that has Green Thai Milk tea. Vancouver is definitely missing out with this drink. read more

I cannot believe how much this place continues make its mission being the STINGIEST milktea place on Bellaire. I only made a visit tonight when my friend had told me their stinginess has improved... I ordered a Milk Tea No. 3 Large size with no ice tonight, and lo and behold, my cup came out with HALF (and I bet it would precisely a little more than half) of a cup of AIR staring back at me. Their pricing is already steep, and I wonder what they want to gain by stooping to this level of cheapness. I sincerely hope the owner or management of JTea read their store's reviews once in awhile to get an idea of how their concept is received. read more

I finally gave this place a 2nd chance because the manager reached out to me, so I decided to go today since I was craving some tea after a disappointing experience at another tea house yesterday. Let's just say that the mango tea I received was so sweet that I couldn't drink it and worst of all it just tasted like mango sweetener with no flavor of tea at all. Anyways, I ordered the mango tea & green milk tea with milk jello (no ice). The mango tea was sensational, it had that kick that I didn't get yesterday; it was also flavorful and definitely woke me up because I need it for work tonight. The green milk tea was good however, it was kinda too sweet for my tasting and it wasn't as strong as the mango tea. The service was good, they were very patient with me and also accommodated me by separating the tea & the jello so it won't be soggy. Overall I'm happy that I gave this place a 2nd chance, during these crazy times we gotta help out these businesses that deserve the help. I'll definitely come back again, thanks you guys. read more

My friend posted her drink from Jtea and I decided to check it out since I was in the area. First impression: cute, clean, small store. I don't like boba or anything too sweet but my husband loves that. So we got the green milk tea with jello with 50% sweetness and easy on ice. It appears the young male cashier had trouble understanding our questions (English isn't his mother tongue) but the young girl in glasses helped him out when we asked for less ice. It's cold in the 50s and definitely don't want an icy drink. As this is our first time, we asked if they have a loyalty program but no one seems to understand what that meant. Flavor was good but it's not full. 50% of the cup is filled with ice so I'm unsure if they figured in 'less ice' or if I should ask for no ice at all. When I saw this spot on a recent Yelp search, I knew I had to stop by and check it out since it has my same initials. Turns out that JTea is a cozy little spot in an unassuming strip center WEST of the beltway along Bellaire. The plaza has lounges, sports bars, massage / spas and a Pizza Hut for reference. The inside was nearly full on a Sunday night visit to my surprise. The first items I noticed when I looked up at the menu were their food choices. My visit was strictly for a drink though and after looking over the beverage choices, I quickly decided on the tiramisu milk tea. I love regular milk tea, but also enjoy trying typical dessert flavors if they can be executed well. This drink is pre-loaded with coffee-flavored jelly and a dusting of cocoa on top which you probably won't taste until the very end. When you place your straw at the bottom, you'll have the coffee flavor and if you lift the straw to the middle, you'll have the cream flavor. I really enjoyed this drink and figured they put a little thought into making/presenting it. It comes with a completely different style lid to showcase the cocoa and allow you to sample it too, as opposed to their other drinks which have closed lids.
