He was super communicative about the timing, since my move was later in the day and dependent on how the earlier scheduled moves went. The price was the best I found in Nashville because they don't charge you for tons of extra fees, and the guys all took great care of my stuff- especially seeing as I had a few boxes that wouldn't close at the top. They literally worked until 10pm at night to make sure the job was done, and they were personable and friendly through the whole thing. Made the move easy and fun. Loved em, five stars for sure. Pro-tip: if you live/are moving to a high-rise like me, see if you can reserve a service elevator in advance- it will greatly save you and the guys time and money.

They were friendly, quick, efficient, and very affordable. He doesn't have a car and was planning to take a cab to/from the storage facility. The movers offered to take him to the storage facility...and then they gave him a ride back home! Awesome customer service. He plans to use them again when he brings his things out of storage and into a new apartment.

I am forever grateful for this means of getting the real scoop, and think it's a great idea for smaller companies/laborers to have a page that sets them apart from the sketchier folks on Craigslist. The glowing reviews were right on the money! Shawn and Eden left my apartment less than a half hour ago and I'm happy to give them another great review. My move was as below: -From a 6th floor apt with an elevator that leads to the back alley to a 3rd floor apt with no elevator, approx 2 miles away. -One medium sized sofa (3 cushions across), 2 ottomans, 1 dinette/breakfast table for two, and 1 very tall bookshelf Not too much stuff, and Shawn quoted me a $120 flat fee for two movers and his pick up truck. Though it's not necessarily INexpensive, compare it to big companies, who charge an average $90/hr for two movers, with an avg 2 hour minimum and $45 travel fee. I think I got a great deal, and if I had paid much less I would have worried that I was exploiting some hardworking folks. Shawn and Eden were about 20 minutes late- they did call me at 4:05 (moving time was 4p) to let me know they would be here soon. I was slightly annoyed, as I would have preferred a heads up before 4p, but can understand that that's not always possible. They started working as soon as their feet hit the ground, and the whole move lasted from 4:20-5:15ish, under an hour! Shawn and Eden were personable, quick, and careful with my possessions. They knew just how to angle my stuff so it fit into a teeny elevator. They made sure everything was tied down in their truck so nothing would accidentally fall out or anything. They also let me ride back to my apartment with them, which I appreciated a lot. Four stars for the obvious reasons- they only have a pick up truck, and no insurance. No packing materials are provided, so wrap your own sofa/mattress if you're worried. But I would definitely recommend them for smaller, simpler moves like mine! A few things to keep in mind- always offer your mover some water! I was so surprised to hear that I was their third move of the day- and the smallest by far, it seems- and the first to offer water. And, try to build in as much flexibility into your moving day as possible, so that you aren't overstressed when the unexpected occurs, which is all too likely to happen. I would say 99% of movers don't enjoy being late to their next job, and 99% of the time it's not their fault- the office folks offered misleading estimates, a service elevator went bonkers or a reservation was screwed up, the previous customer underestimated the amount of crap they had, etc. I have found movers to be some of the most hardworking guys around and on the receiving end of a lot from stressed out customers, and it shouldn't be that way. Dude I had a piano and about 777thousand pieces of furniture. Upstairs, garage, a cottage and randomness strewn about. (My last moving experience the guys were ho-hum at best. Lazy and NO fun!). This prompted threats of litigation by the company, despite the fact that the review was totally honest. They refused at every turn to do the right thing. Even after promising to follow up, they chose to ignore my calls and emails. Here are some things I would rather do than have to deal with People's Choice Moving and Storage again: Be stuck in an elevator full of people wearing Axe body spray. Shave with a rusty butter knife that's covered in lemon juice. Be forced to listen to a playlist consisting of nothing but "Achy Breaky Heart," Nickelback, and novelty songs on a continuous loop. I think you get the idea. There is nothing else to do but laugh at the absurdity of my experience with them. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this sketchy company.

I hired him to do a move from Nashville to SC and he originally quoted me $3100 and I gave him $1600 cash. After that he kept changing the prices and I started to get suspicious but had already giving him my money. He showed up with a 26 foot truck and tractor hauler on 6/22. My mom and I were supposed to leave with this truck in the morning and the second truck would show up that day too. We were told we would start at 6AM but he didn't show up until 11AM and with a bigger truck than expected. I paid him another $1200 by PayPal for the first load and wasn't supposed to pay the additional $700 until 6/28 as agreed. My mom and I headed to SC with the first two movers and the 26 foot truck and got half way when Marcus began texting me that he underbid this job and that I needed to pay him $1900 more before he finished. We argued about it and finally I agreed because the other two guys were there loading the other truck and I needed this done to start my job on Monday. After the final payment Marcus stopped texting me and the two drivers leaving them without gas money for the truck. We got to the house and when the truck was unloaded the drivers still could not reach him for gas to get back home. The other two started heading this way and got here at 3AM so we were all exhausted at this point. They got there and also were ghosted by Marcus and paid gas to get here out of their own pocket. They refused to unload and wanted me to pay them but I refused because I already paid. Eventually the other movers convinced them to unload so they did but a lot of it was left on my lawn. They headed back to Nashville with no pay from Marcus and had to buy gas themselves. The original two drivers did not have the money to do that so I gave them a place to sleep and fed them. The next day one of the movers collapsed from dehydration and stress and had to be rushed to the er by ambulance. So when he got released from the hospital, My husband drove from Nashville 6 hours to pick them up, and drive them back to Nashville another 6 hours. I gave them $190 each for helping me. I returned the U-Haul truck here and learned it should of never left the state of Tennessee. This man took my money and stiffed U-Haul and the worst part his workers who worked so hard for free.
