Use this as a massive warning! (And I am seeing others comment in these reviews similarly.) Circumstance 1: I went in to the Urgent Care for a UTI and was charged, using insurance, $812.00 just for a dip stick urine test and under a 2 minute doctor consultation to write me an RX. My insurance paid $7.37 total because they said that is the cost of a test. That makes sense. So what is left is costing me over $400 a minute for help for face to face care with a doctor. Circumstance 2: I went to the same Urgent Care (didn't have the bill for the previous one, otherwise I would not have gone) for bronchitis and a sinus infection. Again, heart rate, bp, and a stethoscope to my chest was all that was done, in addition to the prescription to take to a local pharmacy (no xrays or anything like that). This one was charged $528...so over $150 per minute to be face to face with a doctor. Both times I went, I was the ONLY patient in the waiting room (and didn't see one in the main part of the rooms). It's not like I was at a high peak time even. Why weren't others there...probably because they have read so many poor reviews unlike I did. I was telling this with a friend of mine and she told me that this happened to her as well (same location for an ear infection), resulting in an outlandish bill, so I am not the only person that this has happened to. I have called many times to get them to recode/adjust trying to dispute it even asking for the self payout, and they are not budging.They are standing behind their stomach-dropping fees. I will also say, I have gone to this location other times in past years for the same issues and never received such outlandish bills. It's as if they are treating this like an emergency room (and with my multiple phone calls the billing department employees keeps saying "ER"). I have driven by the place to make sure it didn't change to an ER and I mistakenly didn't notice, but the sign on the building (and the website) says Urgent Care. I am NOT trying to get out of paying for my services, but I will stand up for what is "right" and announce to many what a horrible company they have become. Seems like the only thing I can do is leave a bad review, notify the news company, file a complaint with the department of health, in addition to my insurance company (Blue Cross) knowing. Price gouging at its finest. Very deceiving business practice. Please go anywhere but here! Never, ever again will I use them! (Look at the slew of Google reviews on this place. This is now the second time I've had to deal with this. My husband went in and saw the other new NP and sure enough his bill was also 80+ dollars. Every interaction, whether phone call or personal visit, was met with hostility and unprofessionalism. Especially from Melissa at the front desk. She is the most rude and unprofessional receptionist my parents have ever encountered. From dismissive and condescending remarks to dirty looks when my parents would enter the office. My family has been given the run around with this office. When my dad met with the Physician's Assistant - David, he was condescending. My father just wanted to make sure he would be getting the correct care he needs. Instead of listening and having a good bedside manner, he dismissed my fathers comments and concerns. Since the depart of P.A Shane Milliron, the entire office has gone down hill. When Shane was there, my parents were met with compassion and felt heard. They knew that my step father had pneumonia the month before which increased his white blood count. They did not check his white blood count before the port placement. We did not realize that CICC did not check his white blood count. Later we learned that his white blood count was 13.4 when the port was put in. He ended up with a massive infection, got septic and four months later he died. We will never forget the suffering he experienced after the port placement. CICC completely disregarded what happened. I would never go near them.

I had to return yesterday and the nurse practitioner Kristin was so kind and listened to my concerns and really showed great quality of care. Sicily is a wonderful medical assistant. I am happy with my general practioner that isn't associated with Gateway, but Kristin properly diagnosed me with bronchitis. My general practioner diagnosed me with pneumonia, but Kristin wondered why my general practitioner never did a chest xray before diagnosing me with pneumonia. Yesterday, Kristin gave me a chest X-ray and breathing treatment as well as prescribing me meds for my horrible cough. I will definitely return to Gateway in the future for my medical needs.
