I just got hung up on by a guy named Andy. I told him I have 3 granite projects and he abruptly cut me off quickly saying sorry we wouldn't be interested, thanks (click). How RUDE!! That's fine if they're too busy to take on any new projects but to hang up on soneone like that is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! I called them because if the consistent 5-star ratings. After trying to arrange for granite countertops with an outfit just north of Ann Arbor on Zeeb Road and being lead on for weeks an Internet search for other granite installers lead me to Trusted Improvement in Livonia. I faxed in a rough diagram of my countertops for an estimate and an email was returned very quickly with a fair price. A call to the office later that day to schedule a measurement was answered by the owner and he came out to Ann Arbor the next morning and arrived right on time. The installers came out about 3 1/2 weeks after the initial contact and completed the job in an efficient, professional manner. They showed up on time, put down protective drop cloths, worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves and treated me and my home with respect! The only thing I would point out is that their website says that they will be done in 10-14 days, but I think now that the economy is coming back in Michigan, they are obviously much busier and it's just going to take a little longer to get the job done. But I'll take that as a positive sign that they are busy...so they are good...and I can confirm that!! read more

Do not do business with Andy or any of his staff at Trusted Improvement. I unfortunately went with them to install granite and sinks in my kitchen and bathrooms. They installed an inferior kitchen sink, with scratches. After many calls and over a month later, Andy finally agreed to replace the sink and purchase a sink grid (at my expense) to prevent scratching the new sink. Andy gave me a number of one of his contractors (David) to call to schedule the installation. I called David and the install was scheduled for this past Sunday. David called me Sunday morning and said he went by the shop to pick up the "best available" (whatever that means)sink, but couldn't find the grid. He said that the granite fabricator (Radu) must have it at his house. I ask him to stop by Radu's house to pick up the grid and then come over to do the install. Well, David apparently called Andy and told him I cancelled the install because Andy send me a nasty email saying he was sorry I canceled the install and he's not going to replace my sink or respond to any of my emails, phone calls, or text messages. Is this the kind of company you want to do business with. I think not! read more

Found this company on line. Sent my measurements, received prompt response from Andy, the owner. Cost was not that much more than large store had quoted me for a Formica. I am retired and was doing this kitchen remodel in my condo by myself. Andy walked me through every step, his staff is amazing also. Every person who has seen my kitchen remarks how beautiful my countertops are. I also had both bathrooms done and would recommend this company without hesitation. read more

In my search for granite countertops, I came across the Trusted Improvement site. I liked what the site had to say and I was even more thrilled at the ability to fax them a diagram and measurements of our countertops and get a quote through email without having to set up an appointment. I sent in my diagram and got a quote within 24 hours for a price that was 200 dollars LOWER than the granite overlay you see on TV! I had one of these companies come out two weeks prior and was instantly turned off by the chunkiness of the overlay and the limitations overall. We decided to go with REAL granite and take a chance with Trusted Improvement and was very happy from start to finish. Working with Andy and his team was a very good experience. Andy himself was very easy to talk too. He was extremely professional, friendly, on time, and returned my calls and emails answering every question almost instantly throughout the process. Andy came to the house within days to finalize the project. Price did NOT change from his initial quote. We decided to add on extra length to our kitchen island and the price for that was very reasonable. Soon after that, Radu, the stone cutter, came out and took measurements...I have to admit, I began to worry at this point because there was no lasers or templates used, just old fashion measurements! My husband reassured me and said, he's been doing this a long time, he knows what he is doing. From there Andy and Radu, worked with us and our schedule to set up a day to pick out our granite as our time was tight at the time. We met Radu at the granite yard, he was helping others as well but that was fine because we didn't feel pressured to hurry and pick and we were able to take our time and just look around at all the gorgeous granite and marble! Radu was very nice, professional and patient with us. We had picked out a nice slab, once we showed him what we picked, he took us to a new shipment that just arrived and we picked out a beauty! Install date was set up 16 days later. Install day came and the guys were on time, very professional, friendly, respected our home, and all was done in a few hours. Our granite countertops are gorgeous and cut perfect.... I had nothing to worry about We definitely recommend Trusted Improvement.....Thank you Andy and your team....great job!! read more

I was pricing out granite for our kitchen remodel and found Trusted Improvements web site. Their web site currently (9/7/12) shows $45 per sq ft "Includes Everything!" and in the disclaimer says standard kitchen layout. no plumbing reconnect. I called and spoke to Andy and was advised to email him our kitchen sketch/specs. Our kitchen would seem to be a very basic one, we have 3 counter surfaces, each are straight rectangle shaped, with one having a small rectangle shape bump out. There are no seams, no internal corners, no crazy radiuses etc. I asked for a quote and even advised them that I would not need the included sink and that I would be removing the old countertops myself, so they could deduct that. My kitchen measured out to 63 sq ft, which based on their web site advertising should mean 63X$45 sq ft. for a total of $2835. Since I did not need the sink or counters, I expected the price to be lower than that. My actual quoted price was $3250. Since this did not seem to go along with what the web site showed I was confused as their web site uses a lot of space to explain how they are better with including everything, how other shops always give a low estimate then charge for things that he includes. So, I emailed him to ask why the price did not seem to coincide with what the web site advertisement says. He simply replied that every job is different and that was the price. I cannot speak to the quality of his companies work as we are absolutely not going to be using them. I wrote this review because his web site says "We have the best granite prices in Michigan & Ohio!" and that they don't play any games, however, they are Advertising $45 per sq ft for level 1 granite and when my quote comes out to $51.58 per sq ft. he does not want to take any time to explain why the numbers dont add up. It made my decision very easy as I can only speculate what their customer service must be like if you had an issue. read more
