STAY AWAY!!! While the technician that came out did a good job and was professional it ends there. When you get the bill you will be shocked. You will start to receive phone calls and emails within days requesting payment. Should you not respond to them quickly enough, they will go so far as to contact a 3rd party and demand payment! You will be billed for work that was completely unnecessary and not in line with industry standard. You will be billed for hours that don't tie back to your records. When you inquire about these charges, not only will they refuse to provide any explanation or provide any records that support the hours billed, you will be insulted, they will be condescending to you and argumentative. All because you had the nerve to question the validity of what you have been billed. The office staff including the President of the company are the epitome of UNPROFESSIONAL, AND A TOTAL LACK OF MORALS AND ETHICS. read more

We were referred to TSC by our insurance agent. This company was on the spot in our time of need. We were gone on a vacation for 10 days and came home at 1:30 am to a home that had 4 inches of water thru out our 3800 SF home. Robert was our main technician for the flood and 10 stars to him!!! He worked thru the night until 10:30 the next morning to get the water out of everything carpets, pads and drywall. Our insurance company was out the next day and said we needed to go to a hotel AGAIN!!! And that all of our items needed to be packed up moved off site cleaned and dried.OMG we just got back from vacation Edgar is an angle from heaven with his pack out crew walked us thru the process step by step and hell it was like moving again!! We even went by the warehouse where all the work was being done on the contents and what a 1 class operation they have going on. There must of been 100 vaults of stored contents from other projects. We met with Wes for the home repairs and he worked very hard on a settlement from the carrier to get our home restored. We were in a hotel for 60 days while the repairs were on going . The house looks like new again. Tsc crews were great helping us redesign some layout issues. Eli from the cabinet company made the most beautiful set of custom made cabinets. I had a sewer backup that ruined a good sized section of hardwood floors, cabinets, and wallboard. The remediation was handled by another company, but I used TSC for the restoration. First, let me go over the good aspects of TSC, then a couple of issues I had along the way. Taylor came out to do the initial inspection and build a quote for the damage. He was SUPER pro-active, and reached out to the insurance adjuster to add a few missing items on the first insurance estimate. He then adjusted his project bid to offset my deductible, so that I wouldn't be out of pocket for the major repairs. I thought that was very good business practice, as my deductible was fairly large. The contract process went very smooth, and Taylor was exceptionally pro-active and responsive throughout the whole bid and contract process. The estimate was approximately 6 weeks of renno. Five stars for Taylor. Up front I requested a few changes to what was previously in the house. First, I wanted high quality tile instead of the high-end wood floors. Second, I wanted a different (darker) wall color for part of the downstairs, and a couple of smallish areas that were out of scope for insurance coverage to be painted. I also wanted a different type of cabinet in the powder room (an upgrade). Finally, I wanted a grout that never had to be sealed vs. the regular builder grade grout. TSC agreed to all of these changes for a $0 change fee. I felt that was MORE than fair, and really made me feel good about the company as a whole. I frankly was expecting an up-charge for these additions. The actual restoration process wasn't quite as smooth as the bid/contract phase, but the end result was quite good. My main issue was the lack of communication from Paul, the project manager. We were under a very tight deadline, with almost no wiggle room. During the 6 week renno, early on there was a good 5-9 business days that no progress was made. I was getting nervous, so I emailed Paul a few times to get a firm schedule and check on the progress. Paul was always responsive to emails, but not once proactively reached out to provide a progress update. I always had to ask how things were going. The second hiccup was the lack of attention to detail at the end for the paint and caulk/grout. Twice I had to place dozens of blue painters tape markers on areas that needed paint touch up. TSC cheerfully did all the requested touch up (at no charge), though. But 95% of the touchup should have been caught by their staff and never made it to my level. But the touchups were done in a professional manner, and the finished product looks great. Never once did they complain that I was too picky or resist my touchup requests. To recap, TSC overall did a great job and if I had another restoration project I would certainly use them again. I felt they were honest, hard working, and in the end the craftsmanship was great. As I mentioned, if Paul could be a lot more pro-active in his communications, provide a rough schedule up front, and have the painters be a lot more detailed oriented at the onset, then it would have been a five star experience in all areas. The house looks great, even though it took about a week longer than the original estimated completion date. I am happy to be moved back into my beautifully restored house. read more

I had to call a water damage restoration company a few years ago and it was pretty much a terrible experience all around!! At the suggestion of one of my coworkers I called TSC to deal with my latest disaster and it was much less painful. TSC handled everything from start to finish. They worked with our adjuster and got the claim settled fairly and on time. The price was a little more than the insurance wanted to pay, but I'm super glad that TSC was looking out for us and our home not trying to go on the cheap!! John Paul one of the Vice Presidents made us feel very comfortable as he handled our project thru the whole process. His team was on site in about 1 hour after we called them and got all of the water out almost immediately! They Saved a lot of furniture and rugs :) The repairs went very smooth matching the drywall and paint. You cannot even tell where they even made their cuts from the water damage. Alfredo is a master craftsman and true a professional. In the end, I would call them again. Wish I could give 7 stars!! read more

Called TSC when all the rain caused some inside damage to our master bedroom and bathroom. They came out right away, did a good job cleaning up and helping to correct the problem. The problem and reason for 2 stars: They didn't explain the entire process of how long it would take to dry. Left equipment in our room and bathroom with no explanation of how long it need to be left on. After it being on for 4 days we contacted them to see how much longer. We were told we could turn it off. We turned it off and took all machines into our garage for pickup (And then had hours of take down on our bill, even though we took it down. They gave an estimate to us for the work being done, when we got the bill it was twice as much. We received the bill and less then 4 days later we were called and told our billed needed to be paid, When I called to pay the bill and asked how long they normally give people to submit payment I was told 10 days. The lady that answered the phone wasn't sure why we were called for payment, but said if we were called then we should just get it paid today and there wasn't time to mail it in. When the total is double the estimate it would be nice to have a couple days to get the bill paid without phone calls. Company was good as far as work, just be prepared to pay double then the estimate you are given. read more

TSC is the company to call if you ever have a water leak. I contacted them and John Paul, VP, called me right back and came out to my house. He got a crew there right away. The water restoration crew (Robert, Edgar) were hard workers and got the mess all cleaned up. I had just had major surgery and they took care of everything so that I did not have to unpack kitchen cabinets or move a thing. Wes, VP, came out within a few days and met with my insurance adjuster so that the process would run smoothly. Wes was friendly and professional and helped me navigate that process. The restoration crew (Marco and Alfredo) along with their Project Manager Paul were wonderful. They did an excellent job of fixing the dry wall, painting my whole kitchen and painting the new kitchen cabinets; my finished kitchen looks beautiful. Not only are they competent but they are very friendly, professional and trustworthy. Throughout this whole process I contacted John Paul numerous times about the process or with my questions. He was so responsive and easy to work with and made this whole process run smoother. If I ever have a leak again I will definitely call TSC as they are the company to go to. read more

We had a huge remodel job almost the entire 1st floor after our water line from the back of the fridge caused a slow but constant leak. The job took way TOO LONG to complete over 7 months, living in a hotel with 4 kids was not easy. The work turned out really well and Alfredo who did most of the work was AMAZING a and we are thankful for him. Unfortunately, we have had a few issues with 2 items they have installed. I have been calling Tonya over and over to no avail. I finally had to file a complaint against their contractors license for construction defect as well as against their Surety Bond in hopes that they return my call and correct their construction defect. I wish I would of gotten a call in order to avoid all of these additional steps! I would now have to say stay far away from this company and BTW they were paid in full...no open or outstanding invoices play a part in this complaint just terrible customer service, work and response time! read more

Arrived home one day to find that our water heater decided that holding water was no longer its job. It leaked every last drop, seeped under the wall from the garage into the living room. A quick Google led me to TSC Restoration. Thanks Google! I immediately called, Becky answered and assured me that all would be taken care of in a timely manner. She wasn't lying! She expedited the techs out right away. They arrived and had us cleaned up and dried in no time. What could've easily been a catastrophe was merely a hiccup. when my ice maker water line flooded my kitchen I called TSC and they sent their rep, Taylor Bundy, to check it out. At first he was kind and sympathetic to my predicament. I was out of work at the time and had no money to cover any costs. Then he began pressuring me to sign a contract and start work. I repeated the fact that I would not incur ANY costs until the insurance company approved the claim. Taylor asked if he could, at least order some environmental testing to see if there was asbetos in my floors. I told him not if there was any chance that I would be charged for it. He assured me that I would not get any charges for it, so I allowed him to order the test on the condition that I would not be charged. A few weeks go by while I fight with the insurance company, (that's another story). Eventually the claim is denied and I start getting bills from the testing company for over $600, and am being threatened with collections When I texted Taylor he basically tells me Tough. Pay it. I am now trying to reach Tanya, the owner of TSC, for redress. I will post more after I speak with her. read more

I called TSC when our home flooded, due to a kitchen faucet rupture, for restoration. Our contractor, John Paul, was so helpful on walking us through the process with the insurance. I felt like he fought for us with the insurance. We didn't know all the ins and outs of how the insurance try's to do short cuts on restoration. Our project manager, Paul Harte, was so awesome. He managed our project from beginning to the very end. I would just tell him what I wanted and he would make it work. From paint colors to tile flooring to kitchen cabinets. He handled everything. It was a very long process, due to the insurance, but I would do it over again with TSC. read more

It all started with a plumbing leak from a corroded pipe in the master bathroom that showed up below, in our kitchen ceiling. We contacted TSC and they got right back to us, very quickly sending out a crew to remove damaged drywall and trim, find the leak, repair the damaged pipe and dry out the affected area. VP of Operations, Wes Harris was able to meet with our insurance adjuster shortly thereafter, so there were no disagreements as to what restoration work was required. The restoration crew (Alfredo and Marco), coordinated by Project Manager, Paul Harte, did an outstanding job, matching wall and ceiling textures, crown molding and door trim to the existing adjacent finishes. They made sure to protect all non-construction surfaces and did a great job cleaning up. Plumbing leaks are never a pleasant experience, but TSC made it a lot easier. We live in Alameda Califrona but we have a vacation property in Oceanside. Recieved a call from our property manager that our water heater gave out and since our water heater is inside the home our entire place was flooded. Our property manager suggested TSC restoration as they are a full service restoration company. Being in the Bay Area we had to trust our manager and we hired TSC restoration based off the recomendations of our manager and Yelp reviews. Wes Harris contacted us immediately and walked me through the insurance process and what to be aware of when making a claim. He explained and sent pictures of the damage to the home. Becuase of the damage most of the furnishings had to be removed to keep from further damage. Again numerous pictures sent showing our belongings were being taken care of. Also when we came into town to look at our damaged items the crew at TSC was very accommodating. Being 7 hours away we had to trust that the right thing was being done and it was. From start to finish, they communicated with me throughout the process and did several readings to ensure that the water damage was mitigated. In addition, they coordinated the asbestos abatement and demolition of damaged areas with the abatement company. All work went without a hitch. We were shocked at the bill! (over $6,000) Not what we expected from the "contract" we signed. ( i.e.: There was no way to know they were going to charge us $750 to clean their equipment!) Because they came after hours (after 5) we were charged double. That was not made clear to us. They charged us to extract the water from the wet rug, the technician to come to extract the water and a 100% fee for after hours for the same thing. So to suck up the water (about an hour of work) we were charged $1,054.34. They left humidifiers and fans for 3 days and that was $2,640. And then $519.06 to bring it in and out! And $750 to clean it afterwards! They wanted to charge us $500 to test for asbestos (our house was built in 2000) or they wouldn't open the walls! So I said no and hired another company who ripped out walls, put them back, fixed the plumbing and repainted for half the price. But because this company came out the first night, we had to pay them the $6,000. If you are made of money, go ahead and hire this company. read more

Don't do it worst company I have ever dealt with. Not just restoration just the worst at everything. You would think as a fireman , a restoration company would do a good job so i could refer them.I think they used to have different managers cause I don't recognize the names listed on the other reviews. They took forever didn't do what they said were incredibly rude to this day I have broken flagstone from the tile guys that tried to repatch it with tile quick set. and hot water to my toilet and after some five months of being out of my house for s simple leak .they are demanding payment and they won't repair these simple items they caused. I even was going to let them off the hook for repairs because they were So unprofessional but they want there 1000$ deductible without doing the job correct. So we're going to court I doubt they will learn their lesson. read more

The night of Labor Day I had an angle stop fail and flood my townhouse. I contacted ServPro who I knew to have a good reputation and insurance companies used frequently. I am not exactly sure how it worked but they connected me to Wes at TSC for which I am terribly grateful. Despite the hour Wes talked me through what had happened. I wasn't sure of the damage or what I was supposed to do regarding the insurance as I had never had a home owners claim. Wes told me to call my insurance in the morning and he would be there tomorrow if I needed or had any questions. The next day I did report the flood and was advised to call in a restoration company. I called Wes and asked him to come. Within two hours Wes arrived with a team and did an assessment of my home. Of course with water pouring out for 30 minutes there was significant water damage. Wes' crew went right to work, were incredibly professional, polite, and clean. Wes walking me through how to work with insurance. He even looked through my policy and explained how there are different pockets of $ for different things. Although this is not water restoration work directly, I can not say how essential it was to have someone educate me about insurance and tell me how to educate myself further. Home owners insurance is not as bad as health insurance but you certainly need to know what is going on or things can go badly very quickly. Wes' education and guidance and continual working with the insurance company ensured that my home was put back together beautifully without any corners being cut. It was still a hassle of an experience, no one wants a flood but TSC made the experience far better than I ever imagined it would be and I have a beautiful home again;truthfully because it is all new and exactly to my taste and was done by people who do high quality work, it is better than it was before the flood read more

Discovered a leaking water heater at about 11 pm and Robert responded within the hour and worked hard to assess the situation and put my mind at ease! He was back bright and early the next day to start taking care of what was a bit of a disaster in terms of water damage and flooding. They worked long, hard hours and expeditiously handled quite the mess. They also make it easy for you to continue your daily work (i.e. Don't have to be home all day) and communicate extremely well about cost, insurance, progress, EVERYTHING. This is not a good company. When they showed up, I asked for a price since I was not sure I had insurance. They would not give me a price, then charged me lots of money that I had to pay out of my pocket. They kept saying "don't worry the insurance will pay for it". TSC is AMAZING! My moms house flooded in the middle of the night and she didn't realize it until about 5am when she got up. She called TSC and Edgar came out. He is so friendly, very personal, informative, patient, kind, understanding, etc...My mom obviously was overwhelmed and Edgar was so patient with her. He explained several times how everything was going to work, what was going to happen and when. He told us to ask any questions we had and he would answer...and he did. We probably asked several repeat questions but he never seemed annoyed or irritated. After he removed all the water, he called in his team. They showed up with smiles and good attitudes. We were introduced to Brian, Jose, and Alfredo. They went straight to work setting up the machines to dry out the walls. When they were finished Edgar explained he would be back with the team tomorrow to start moving the furniture and anything we wanted to be stored in their warehouse. We went to work and began boxing and bagging all the things my mom wanted to keep within the house and not be taken to the warehouse. Anything that we did not bag or box, Edgar's team did. It was sooo amazing! They came back the next morning on time and this time we met Marco and Tina (the packer...she's awesome!) They packed everything up and the furniture. They didn't rush us, they were respectful and kind. They gave us a receipt everyday they were there, explaining what was done. They took pictures of everything and documented any damage. Edgar said that the abatement team would be coming to do the demo and that we would see him later after everything was done but that we could call him any time. We can't say enough good things about Edgar, his work ethic, kindness and empathy as well as his amazing team! We would recommend them to anyone and we are fortunate to have met them...they feel like family. read more

OK first my rating was affected by the hassle of working with TSC billing dept and my insurance company-that part was a nightmare but the SERVICE received from TSC was top notch. Alfredo and Marco were more than proficient at their jobs. They did the painting plastering and plumbing to name a few. They did a FABULOUS job on everything they did!!! Those two are priceless!! The sub-contractor they hired to replace my tile did a very poor job and I had to have them come back out and fix it. Overall I was happy with the end result just wished the billing issues had not muddied the waters. I would recommend them but like anything these days when something goes wrong it is now your second job..so put your supervisor hat on. read more
