Rob went above and beyond when he was unable to fix my current handle; he went to a local plumbing store and actually got a floor model handle, since they did not make my faucet anymore. Rob came back from the plumbing store, popped in the new handle and tightened up a coupe other things that I did not mention to him. I would definitely recommend R.C. On July 9 2026, I had a terrible experience with Alvin's Plumbing and Heating LLC. Before scheduling, I called to ask about their diagnostic fees to estimate a under-sink filter leak repair. A representative told me it would cost $60 to send a technician, who would then give me a price estimate. However, when the technicians arrived, they never mentioned a hidden baseline fee of $195 just to touch the plumbing. One technician immediately began working without providing an upfront estimate. He cut one inch of a small 1/4" plastic pipe, which fixed the leak. When I asked for the total, he revealed the $195 charge. I was outraged by this hidden fee. Since he was already there, I asked about replacing a bathroom faucet. I explicitly asked if the $195 would be separate or if it would roll into the cost of the new job. They told me, "No, the $195 is going to roll into the cost of the additional job." The office quoted a total price of $225. I agreed to this. After the work was done, they wanted charge my credit card $420 ($195 + $225), completely going back on their word. I requested the manager's number to dispute this overcharge, but the owner refused to honor the agreed upon price. Despite multiple phone calls, I have not received a refund. This company uses misleading sales tactics, hides fees until the work is done, and takes advantage of old citizens. I am submitting an official complaint with Better Business Bureau

These visits were all related to the same issue - the system did not function properly to maintain the desired air temperature, particularly in the summer months. As the HVAC system installed was still malfunctioning, and we learned that the warranty was held by Bosch and did not require us to use our original installer, in May 2026 we decided to call another company we located due to their familiarity with Bosch systems to come look at the system. This new company was so appalled by the mess of the state of the wiring of the system and our prior experiences trying to have this issue resolved through Superior HVAC and Tank Removal that they did not bill us for their initial diagnostic visits. This new team immediately determined that the main power board on the inverter was fried and ordered a replacement part, which they recently installed. The system has been working perfectly ever since. What we're left wondering is why it took another company 45 minutes to immediately diagnose and correct (what seemed to them to be) a clear malfunctioning part in our Bosch inverter, when Superior HVAC and Tank Removal not only installed the system, but then also visited our property no fewer than 5 times (and we have been billed for 4/5 of those visits) and and failed to diagnose nor fix the correct issue? We do not wish to continue business with Superior HVAC and Tank Removal in the future given these experiences.

Joe was excellent throughout the entire process. After speaking to over 10 other contractors, all of whom came out and gave me estimates ranging from $6000 through $14000, I was thoroughly impressed with Joe's professionalism and his attitude from the start. He was completely upfront about pricing, credits from manufacturers, anticipated labor time, etc. Where are other contractors were just trying to squeeze every last dime out of me I never got that impression from Joe. When it came to the actual work, Joe was able to coordinate around our schedule (as we were in the process of getting married and moving into the new house at the same time). The team he had working with him was excellent throughout the whole process as well. They were all extremely polite and professional and I had no concerns about leaving them in my house to get the necessary work done. I never saw them standing around with nothing to do and they were very respectful of our property. They even made sure that they cleaned up each and every day after they finished working, which was excellent, and definitely not something every company does. It's 5 months later and I still haven't found a single nail or piece of cut piping laying on the ground. The boiler that was put in works excellently, probably better than my initial expectations. He also removed the ancient boiler and oil tank that were there when we purchased the property. Once again, there were no issues with the removal and I love having the extra room in the basement. It has been 5 months since he installed the system and there has been two times when I have had a minor leak, and due to my fear of plumbing, I called Joe both times. On both occasions not only did Joe get back to me within the hour, he also arranged to have one of his guys out at my house the following morning. They were a blessing to me, even the young lady who answered the phone was so sweet and polite. and this meant so much more because I've been having an extremely rough year, been having a lot of Windows slammed in my face but Mr Abbate came to assess my furnace and he was so considerate and so empathetic and compared to everyone else I had been dealing with in the past few weeks, he considered how cold it was outside and how uncomfortable it must have been for me, and he made sure to get my furnace in, even though I'm pretty sure his schedule is extremely tight right now.
